1. मैं करूणा और न्याय के विषय गाऊंगा; हे यहोवा, मैं तेरा ही भजन गाऊंगा।

1. A Psalm of David My song shall be of mercy and judgment, yea unto thee (O LORD) will I sing.

2. मैं बुद्धिमानी से खरे मार्ग में चलूंगा। तू मेरे पास कब आएगा! मैं अपने घर में मन की खराई के साथ अपनी चाल चलूंगा;

2. Oh let me have understanding in the ways of Godliness, until the time that thou come unto me: and so shall I walk in my house with an innocent heart.

3. मैं किसी आछे काम पर चित्त न लगाऊंगा।। मैं कुमार्ग पर चलनेवालों के काम से घिन रखता हूं; ऐसे काम में मैं न लगूंगा।

3. I will take no wicked thing in hand, I hate the sin of unfaithfulness, it shall not cleave unto me.

4. टेढ़ा स्वभाव मुझ से दूर रहेगा; मैं बुराई को जानूंगा भी नहीं।।

4. A froward heart shall depart from me I will not know a wicked person.

5. जो छिपकर अपने पड़ोसी की चुगली खाए, उसको मैं सत्यानाश करूंगा; जिसकी आंखें चढ़ी हों और जिसका मन घमण्डी है, उसकी मैं न सहूंगा।।

5. Who so privily slandereth(sclaundereth) his neighbour, him will I destroy: who so hath a proud look and an high(hye) stomach, I may not away with him.

6. मेरी आंखें देश के विश्वासयोग्य लोगों पर लगी रहेंगी कि वे मेरे संग रहें; जो खरे मार्ग पर चलता है वही मेरा टहलुआ होगा।।

6. Mine eyes shall look for such as be faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me: and who so leadeth a godly life, shall be my servant.

7. जो छल करता है वह मेरे घर के भीतर न रहने पाएगा; जो झूठ बोलता है वह मेरे साम्हने बना न रहेगा।।

7. There shall no deceitful person dwell in my house, he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

8. भोर ही भोर को मैं देश के सब दुष्टों को सत्यानाश किया करूंगा, इसलिये कि यहोवा के नगर के सब अनर्थकारियों को नाश करूं।।

8. I shall soon destroy all the ungodly of the land, that all wicked doers may be rooted out of the city of the LORD.
