1. इस प्रकार सुलैमान ने यहोवा के भवन के लिये जो जो काम बनवाया वह सब निपट गया। तब सुलैमान ने अपने पिता दाऊद के पवित्रा किए हुए सोने, चान्दी और सब पात्रों को भीतर पहुंचाकर परमेश्वर के भवन के भएडारों में रखवा दिया।

1. Thus all the work that Shlomo did for the house of the LORD was finished. Shlomo brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

2. तब सुलैमान ने इस्राएल के पुरनियों को और गोत्रों के सब मुखय पुरूष, जो इस्राएलियों के पितरों के घरानों के प्रधान थे, उनको भी यरूशलेम में इस मनसा से इकट्ठा किया, कि वे यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक दाऊदपुर से अर्थात् सिरयोन से ऊपर लिवा ले आएं।

2. Then Shlomo assembled the Zakenim of Yisra'el, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers' houses of the children of Yisra'el, to Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Tziyon.

3. सब इस्राएली पुरूष सातवें महीने के पर्व के समय राजा के पास इकट्ठे हुए।

3. nd all the men of Yisra'el assembled themselves to the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

4. जब इस्राएल के सब पुरनिये आए, तब लेवियों ने सन्दूक को उठा लिया।

4. All the Zakenim of Yisra'el came: and the Levites took up the ark;

5. और लेवीय याजक सन्दूक और मिलाप का तम्बू और जितने पवित्रा पात्रा उस तम्बू में थे उन सभों को ऊपर ले गए।

5. and they brought up the ark, and the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; these did the Kohanim the Levites bring up.

6. और राजा सुलैमान और सब इस्राएली मण्डली के लोग जो उसके पास इकट्ठे हुए थे, उन्हों ने सन्दूक के साम्हने इतनी भेड़ और बैल बलि किए, जिनकी गिनती और हिसाब बहुतायत के कारण न हो सकती थी।

6. King Shlomo and all the congregation of Yisra'el, that were assembled to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

7. तब याजकों ने यहोवा की वाचा का सनदूक उसके स्थान में, अर्थात् भवन की भीतरी कोठरी में जो परमपवित्रा स्थान है, पहंचाकर, करूबों के पंखों के तले रख दिया।

7. The Kohanim brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the Keruvim.

8. सन्दूक के स्थान के ऊपर करूब तो पंख फैलाए हुए थे, जिससे वे ऊपर से सन्दूक और उसके डणडों को ढांपे थे।

8. For the Keruvim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the Keruvim covered the ark and the poles of it above.

9. डणडे तो इतने लम्बे थे, कि उनके सिरे सन्दूक से निकले हुए भीतरी कोठरी के साम्हने देख पड़ते थे, परन्तु बाहर से वे दिखई न पड़ते थे। वे आज के दिन तक वहीं हैं।

9. The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day.

10. सन्दूक में पत्थ्र की उन दो पटियाओं को छोड़ कुछ न था, जिन्हें मूसा ने होरेब में उसके भीतर उस समय रखा, जब यहोवा ने इस्राएलियों के मिस्र से निकलने के बाद उनके साथ वाचा बान्धी थी।

10. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moshe put there at Horev, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Yisra'el, when they came out of Mitzrayim.

11. जब याजक पवित्रास्थान से निकले ( जितने याजक उपस्थित थे, उन सभों ने तो अपने अपने को पवित्रा किया था, और अलग अलग दलों में होकर सेवा न करते थे;

11. It happened, when the Kohanim were come out of the holy place, (for all the Kohanim who were present had sanctified themselves, and did not keep their divisions;

12. और जितने लेवीय गवैये थे, वे सब के सब अर्थात् मुत्रों और भइयों समेत आसाप, हेमान और यदूतून सन के वस्त्रा पहिने झांझ, सारंगियां और वीणाएं लिये हुए, वेदी के पूर्व अलंग में खड़े थे, और उनके साथ एक सौ बीस याजक तुरहियां बजा रहे थे।)

12. also the Levites who were the singers, all of them, even Asaf, Heman, Yedutun, and their sons and their brothers, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them one hundred twenty Kohanim sounding with trumpets;)

13. तो जब तुरहियां बजानेवाले और गानेवाले एक स्वर से यहोवा की स्तुति और धन्यवाद करने लगे, और तुरहियां, झांझ आदि बाजे बजाते हुए यहोवा की यह स्तुति ऊंचे शब्द से करने लगे, कि वह भला है और उसकी करूणा सदा की है, तब यहोवा के भवन मे बादल छा गया,

13. it happened, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever; that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD,

14. और बादल के कारण याजक लोग सेवा- टहल करने को खड़े न रह सके, क्योंकि यहोवा का तेज परमेश्वर के भवन में भर गया था।

14. so that the Kohanim could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
