1. यहूदा के पुत्रा : पेरेस, हेस्रोन, कम , हूर और शोबाल।

1. The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

2. और शोबाल के पुत्रा : रायाह से यहत और यहत से अहूमै और लहद उत्पन्न हुए, ये सोराई कुल हैं।

2. And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.

3. और एताम के पिता के ये पुत्रा हुए : अर्थात् यिज्रेल, यिश्मा और यिद्वाश, जिनकी बहिन का नाम हस्सलेलपोनी था।

3. And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.

4. और गदोर का पिता पनूएल, और रूशा का पिता एजेर। ये एप्राता के जेठे हूर के सन्तान हैं, जो बेतलेहेम का पिता हुआ।

4. And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.

5. और तको के पिता अशहूर के हेबा और नारा नाम दो स्त्रियां थीं।

5. But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.

6. और नारा से अहुज्जाम, हेपेर, तेमनी और हाहशतारी उत्पन्न हुए, नारा के ये ही पुत्रा, हुए।

6. And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.

7. और हेला के पुत्रा, सेरेत, यिसहर और एम्नान।

7. And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.

8. फिर कोस से आनूब और सोबेवा उत्पन्न हुए और उसेक वंश में हारून के पुत्रा अहर्हेल के कुल भी उत्पन्न हुए।

8. Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.

9. और याबेस अपने भइयों से अधिक प्रतिष्ठित हुआ, और उसकी माता ने यह कहकर उसका नाम याबेस रखा, कि मैं ने इसे पीड़ित होकर उत्पन्न किया।

9. But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.

10. और याबेस ने इस्राएल के परमेश्वर को यह कहकर पुकारा, कि भला होता, कि तू मुझे सचमुच आशीष देता, और मेरा देश बढाता, और तेरा हाथ मेरे साथ रहता, और तू मुझे बुराई से ऐसा बचा रखता कि मैं उस से पीड़ित त होता ! और जो कुछ उस ने मांगा, वह परमेश्वर ने उसे दिया।

10. And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.

11. फिर शूहा के भाई कलूब से एशतोन का पिता महीर उत्पन्न हुआ।

11. And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.

12. और एशतोन के वंश में रामा का घराना, और पासेह और ईर्नाहाश का पिता तहिन्ना उत्पन्न हुए, रेका के लोग ये ही हैं।

12. And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.

13. और कनज के पुत्रा, ओत्नीएल और सरायाह, और ओत्नीएल का पुत्रा हतत।

13. And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.

14. मोनोतै से ओप्रा और सरायाह से योआब जो गेहराशीम का पिता हुआ; वे कारीगर थे।

14. And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.

15. और यपुन्ने के पुत्रा कालेब के पुत्रा एला और नाम, और एला के पुत्रा कनज।

15. And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.

16. और यहल्लेल के पुत्रा, जीप, जीपा, तीरया और असरेल।

16. And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17. और एज्रा के पुत्रा येतेर, मेरेद, एपेर और यालोन, और उसकी स्त्री से मिरर्याम, शम्मै और एशतमो का पिता यिशबह उत्पन्न हुए।

17. And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

18. और उसकी यहूदिन स्त्री से गदोर का पिता येरेद, सोको के पिता हेबेर और जानोह के पिता यकूतीएल उत्पन्न हुए, ये फ़िरोन की बेटी बित्या के पुत्रा थे जिसे मेरेद ने ब्याह लिया था।

18. Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.

19. और होदिरयाह की स्त्री जो नहम की बहिन थी, उसके पुत्रा कीला का पिता एक गेरेमी और एशतमो का पिता एक माकाई।

19. And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

20. और शीमोन के पुत्रा अम्नोन, रिन्ना, बेन्हानान और तोलोन और यिशी के पुत्रा जोहेत और बेनजोहेत।

20. And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.

21. यहूदा के पुत्रा शेला के पुत्रा लेका का पिता एर, मारेशा का पिता लादा और अशबे के घराने के कुल जिस में सन के कपड़े का काम होता था।

21. The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.

22. और योकीम और कोजेबा के मनुष्य और योआश और साराप जो मोआब में प्रभुता करते थे और याशूब, लेहेम इनका वृत्तान्त प्राचीन है।

22. And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.

23. ये कुम्हार थे, और नताईम और गदेरा में रहते थे जहां वे राजा का कामकाज करते हुए उसके पास रहते थे।

23. These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.

24. शिमोन के पुत्रा नमूएल, यामीन, यारीब, जेरह और शाऊल।

24. The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,

25. और शाऊल का पुत्रा शल्लूम, शल्लूम का पुत्रा मिबसाम और मिबसाम का मिश्मा हुआ।

25. Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.

26. और मिश्मा का पुत्रा हम्मूएल, उसका पुत्रा जक्कूर, और उसका पुत्रा शिमी।

26. And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.

27. शिमी के सोलह बेटे और छे बेटियां हुई परन्तु उसके भाइयों के बहुत बेटे न हुए; और उनका सारा कुल यहूदियों के बराबर न बढ़ा।

27. And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.

28. वे बेर्शबा, मोलादा, हसर्शूआल।

28. And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,

29. बिल्हा, एसेम, तोलाद।

29. And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,

30. बतूएल, होर्मा, सिल्कग,

30. And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

31. बेतमर्काबोत, हसर्सूसीम, बेतबिरी और शारैम में बस गए; दाऊद के राजय के समय तक उनके ये ही नगर रहे।

31. And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.

32. और उनके गांव एताम, ऐन, रिम्मोन, तोकेन और आशान नाम पांच नगर।

32. And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.

33. और बाल तक जितने गांव इन नगरों के आसपास थे, उनके बसने के स्थान ये ही थे, और यह उनकी वंशावली हैं।

33. And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,

34. फिर मशोबाब और यम्लेक और अपस्याह का पुत्रा योशा।

34. And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,

35. और योएल और योशिब्याह का पुत्रा येहू, जो सरायाह का पोता, और असीएल का परमोता था।

35. And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,

36. और एल्योएनै और याकोबा, यशोहायाह और असायाह और अदीएल और यसीमीएल और बनायाह।

36. And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,

37. और शिपी का पुत्रा जीजा जो अल्लोन का पुत्रा, यह यदायाह का पुत्रा, यह शिम्री का पुत्रा, यह शमायाह का पुत्रा था।

37. And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.

38. ये जिनके नाम लिखें हुए हैं, अपने अपने कुल में प्रधान थे; और उनके पितरों के घराने बहुत बढ़ गए।

38. These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.

39. ये अपनी भेड़- बकरियों के लिये चराई ढूंढ़ने को गदोर की घाटी की तराई की पूर्व ओर तक गए।

39. And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.

40. और उनको उत्तम से उत्तम चराई मिली, और देश लम्बा- चौड़ा, चैत और शांति का था; क्योंकि वहां के पहिले रहनेवाले हाम के वंश के थे।

40. And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.

41. और जिनके नाम ऊपर लिखे हैं, उन्हों ने यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह के दिनों में वहां आकर जो मूनी वहां मिले, उनको डेरों समेत मारकर ऐसा सत्यानाश कर डाला कि आह तक उनका पता नहीं है, और वे उनके स्थान में रहने लगे, क्योंकि वहां उनकी भेड़- बकरियों के लिये चराई थीं।

41. And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.

42. और उन में से अर्थात् शिमोनियों में से पाच सौ पुरूष अपने ऊपर पलत्याह, नार्याह, रपायाह और उज्जीएल नाम यिशी के पुत्रों को अपने प्रधान ठहराया;

42. And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,

43. तब वे सेईद पहाड़ को गए, और जो अमेलेकी बचकर रह गए थे उनको मारा, और आज के दिन तब वहां रहते हैं।

43. And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
