1. जब सुलैमान यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन को बना चुका, और जो कुछ उस ने करना चाहा था, उसे कर चुका,

2. तब यहोवा ने जैसे गिबोन में उसको दर्शन दिया था, वैसे ही दूसरी बार भी उसे दर्शन दिया।

2. the Lord apperide to Salomon the secunde tyme, as he apperide to hym in Gabaon.

3. और यहोवा ने उस से कहा, जो प्रार्थना गिड़गिड़ाहट के साथ तू ने मुझ से की है, उसको मैं ने सुना है, यह जो भवन तू ने बनाया है, उस में मैं ने अपना नाम सदा के लिये रखकर उसे पवित्रा किया है; और मेरी आंखें और मेरा मन नित्य वहीं लगे रहेंगे।

3. And the Lord seide to hym, Y haue herd thi preier, and thi bisechyng, which thou bisouytist bifor me; Y haue halewid this hows, which thou bildidist, that Y schulde sette there my name with outen ende; and myn iyen and myn herte schulen be there in alle daies.

4. और यादे तू अपने पिता दाऊद की नाई मन की खराई और सिधाई से अपने को मेरे साम्हने जानकर चलता रहे, और मेरी सब अपज्ञाओं के अनुसार किया करे, और मेरी विधियों और नियमों को मानता रहे, तो मैं तेरा राज्य इस्राएल के ऊपर सदा के लिये स्थ्रि करूंगा;

4. Also if thou goist bifore me, as thi fadir yede, in simplenesse of herte, and in equite, and doist alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to thee, and kepist my domes, and my lawful thingis,

5. जैसे कि मैं ने तेरे पिता दाऊद को वचन दिया था, कि तेरे कुल में इस्राएल की गद्दी पर विराजनेवाले सदा बने रहेंगे।

5. Y schal sette the trone of thi rewme on Israel with outen ende, as Y spak to Dauid, thi fadir, and seide, A man of thi kyn schal not be takun awei fro the trone of Israel.

6. परन्तु यदि तुम लोग वा तुम्हारे वंश के लोग मेरे पीछे चलना छोड़ दें; और मेरी उन आज्ञाओं और विधियों को जो मैं ने तुम को दी हैं, न मानें, और जाकर पराये देवताओं की उपासना करे और उन्हें दणडवत करने लगें,

6. Forsothe if bi turnyng awei ye and youre sones turnen awey, and suen not me, and kepen not myn hestis and cerymonyes, whiche Y settide forth to you, but ye goen, and worschipen alien goddis, and onouren hem `bi outward reuerence,

7. तो मैं इस्राएल को इस देश में से जो मैं ने उनको दिया है, काट डालूंगा और इस भवन को जो मैं ने अपने नाम के लिये पवित्रा किया है, अपनी दृष्टि से उतार दूंगा; और सब देशों के लोगों में इस्राएल की उपमा दी जायेगी और उसका दृष्टान्त चलेगा।
मत्ती 23:38

7. Y schal do awei Israel fro the face of the lond which Y yaue to hem; and Y schal caste awei fro my siyt the temple, which Y halewid to my name; and Israel schal be in to a prouerbe and in to a fable, to alle puplis.

8. और यह भवन जो ऊंचे पर रहेगा, तो जो कोई इसके पास होकर चलेगा, वह चकित होगा, और ताली बजाएगा और वे पूछेंगे, कि यहोवा ने इस देश और इस भवन के साथ क्यों ऐसा किया है;
मत्ती 23:38

8. And this hows schal be in to ensaumple of Goddis offence; ech man that schal passe bi it, schal wondre, and schal hisse, and schal seye, Whi hath the Lord do thus to this lond, and to this hows?

9. तब लोग कहेंगे, कि उन्हों ने अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को जो उनके पुरखाओं को मिस्र देश से निकाल लाया था। तजकर पराये देवताओं को पकड़ लिया, और उनको दणडवत की और उनकी उपासना की इस कारण यहोवा ने यह सब विपत्ति उन पर डाल दी।

9. And thei schulen answere, For thei forsoken her Lord God, that ladde the fadris of hem out of Egipt; and thei sueden alien goddis, and worschipiden hem, and onouriden hem; therfor the Lord brouyte in on hem al this yuel.

10. सुलैमान को तो यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन दोनों के बनाने में बीस वर्ष लग गए।

10. Sotheli whanne twenti yeer weren fillid, aftir that Salomon hadde bildid tweyne housis, that is, the hows of the Lord, and the hows of the kyng, while Hiram,

11. तब सुलैमान ने सोर के राजा हीराम को जिस ने उसके मनमाने देवदारू और सनोवर की लकड़ी और सोना दिया था, गलील देश के बीस नगर दिए।

11. kyng of Tire, yaf to Salomon trees of cedre, and of beech, and gold, bi al thing that he hadde nedeful; thanne Salomon yaf to Hiram twenti citees in the lond of Galile.

12. जब हीराम ने सोर से जाकर उन नगरों को देखा, जो सुलैमान ने उसको दिए थे, तब वे उसको अच्छे न लगे।

12. And Hiram yede out of Tyre that he schulde se the citees, whiche Salomon hadde youe to hym, and tho plesiden not hym;

13. तब उस ने कहा, हे मेरे भाई, ये नगर क्या तू ने मुझे दिए हैं? और उस ने उनका नाम कबूल देश रखा।

13. and he seide, Whethir thes ben the citees, whiche thou, brother, hast youe to me? And he clepide tho citees the lond of Chabul, `til in to this dai.

14. और यही नाम आज के दिन तक पड़ा है। फिर हीराम ने राजा के पास साठ किक्कार सोना भेज दिया।

14. Also Hiram sente to king Salomon sixe score talentis of gold.

15. राजा सुलैमान ने लोगों को जो बेगारी में रखा, इसका प्रयोजन यह था, कि यहोवा का और अपना भवन बनाए, और मिल्लो और यरूशलेम की शहरपनाह और हासोर, मगिद्दॊ और गेजेर नगरों को दृढ़ करे।

15. This is the summe of `costis, which summe Salomon the kyng yaf to bilde the hows of the Lord, and his house Mello, and the wal of Jerusalem, and Ezer, and Maggeddo, and Gazer.

16. गेजेर पर तो मिस्र के राजा फ़िरौन ने चढ़ाई करके उसे ले लिया और आग लगाकर फूंक दिया, और उस नगर में रहनेवाले कनानियों को मार डालकर, उसे अपनी बेटी सुलैमान की रानी का निज भाग करके दिया था,

16. Farao, kyng of Egipt, stiede, and took Gazer, and brente it bi fier; and he killide Chananei, that dwellide in the citee, and yaf it in to dower to his douytir, the wijf of Salomon.

17. सो सुलैमान ने गेजेर और नीचेवाले बथोरेन,

17. Therfor Salomon bildide Gazer, and the lower Bethoron,

18. बालात और तामार को जो जंगल में हैं, दृढ़ किया, ये तो देश में हैं।

18. and Balaath, and Palmyra in the lond of wildirnesse;

19. फिर सुलैमान के जितने भणडार के नगर थे, और उसके रथों और सवारों के नगर, उनको वरन जो कुछ सुलैमान ने यरूशलेम, लबानोन और अपने राज्य के सब देशों में बनाना चाहा, उन सब को उस ने दृढ़ किया।

19. and he made strong alle the townes, that perteyneden to hym, and weren with out wal, and the citees of chaaris, and the citees of knyytis, and what euer thing pleside hym to bilde in Jerusalem, and in the Liban, and in al the lond of his power.

20. एमोरी, हित्ती, परिज्जी, हिब्बी और यबूसी जो रह गए थे, जो इस्राएलियों में के न थे,

20. Salomon made tributaries `til to this dai al the puple, that lefte of Ammorreis, Etheis, and Fereseis, and Eueys, and Jebuseys, that ben not of the sones of Israel,

21. उनके वंश जो उनके बाद देश में रह गए, और उनको इस्राएली सत्यानाश न कर सके, उनको तो सुलैमान ने दास कर के बेगारी में रखा, और आज तक उनको वही दशा है।

21. the sones of these hethen men, that dwelliden in the lond, that is, whiche the sones of Israel myyten not distrye.

22. परन्तु इस्राएलियों में से सुलैमान ने किसी को दास न बनाया; वे तो योठ्ठा और उसके कर्मचारी, उसके हाकिम, उसके सरदार, और उसके रथों, और सवारों के प्रधान हुए।

22. Sotheli kyng Salomon ordeynede not ony man of the sones of Israel to serue, but thei weren men werriours, and mynystris of him, and princes, and dukis, and prefectis of his chares and horsis.

23. जो मुख्य हाकिम सुलैमान के कामों के ऊपर ठहर के काम करनेवालों पर प्रभुता करते थे, ये पांच सौ पचास थे।

23. Sotheli fyue hundrid and fifti `souereynes weren princes ouer alle the werkis of Salomon, whiche princes hadden the puple suget, and comaundiden to werkis ordeyned.

24. जब फ़िरौन की बेटी दाऊदपुर में से अपने उस भवन को आ गई, जो उस ने उसके लिये बनाया था तब उस ने मिल्लो को बनाया।

24. Sotheli the douyter of Farao stiede fro the citee of Dauid in to hir hows, `which hows Salomon hadde bildid to hir; thanne he bildide Mello.

25. और सुलैमान उस वेदी पर जो उस ने यहोवा के लिये बनाई थी, प्रति वर्ष में तीन बार होमबलि और मेलबलि चढ़ाया करता था और साथ ही उस वेदी पर जो यहोवा के सम्मुख थी, धूप जलाया करता था, इस प्रकार उस ने उस भवन को तैयार कर दिया।

25. Also Salomon offride in thre tymes bi alle yeeris brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices, on the auter which he hadde bildid to the Lord; and he brente encense bifor the Lord, and the temple was performed.

26. फिर राजा सुलैमान ने एस्योनगेबेर में जो एदोम देश मे लाल समुद्र के तीर एलोत के पास है, जहाज बनाए।

26. Also king Salomon made `o schip in Asiongaber, which is bisidis Haila, in the brenke of the Reed sea, and in the lond of Idumee.

27. और जहाजों में हीराम ने अपने अधिकार के मल्लाहों को, जो समुद्र से जानकारी रखते थे, सुलैमान के सेवकों के संग भेज दिया।

27. And Iram sente in that schip hise seruauntis, schipmen, and kunnynge of the see, with the seruauntis of Salomon;

28. उन्हों ने ओपोर को जाकर वहां से चार सौ बीस किक्कार सोना, राजा सुलैमान को लाकर दिया।

28. and whanne thei hadden come in to Ophir, thei brouyten fro thennus gold of foure hundrid and twenti talentis to kyng Salomon.
