1. ( पवित्रा सन्दूक का यरूशलेम में पहुंचाया जाना ) फिर दाऊद ने एक और बार इस्राएल में से सब बड़े वीरों को, जो तीस हजार थे, इकट्ठा किया।

1. Againe Dauid gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, euen thirtie thousand,

2. तब दाऊद और जितने लोग उसके संग थे, वे सब उठकर यहूदा के बाले नाम स्थान से चले, कि परमेश्वर का वह सन्दूक ले आएं, जो करूबों पर विराजनेवाले सेनाओं के यहोवा का कहलाता है।

2. And Dauid arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Iudah to bring vp from thence the Arke of God, whose name is called by the Name of the Lord, of hostes, that dwelleth vpon it betweene the Cherubims.

3. तब उन्हों ने परमेश्वर का सन्दूक एक नई गाड़ी पर चढ़ाकर टीले पर रहनेवाले अबीनादाब के घर से निकाला; और अबीनादाब के उज्जा और अहह्यो नाम दो पुत्रा उस नई गाड़ी को हांकने लगे।

3. And they put the Arke of God vpon a newe cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah. And Vzzah and Ahio the sonnes of Abinadab did driue the newe carte.

4. और उन्हों ने उसको परमेश्वर के सन्दूक समेत टीले पर रहनेवाले अबीनादाब के घर से बाहर निकाला; और अहह्यो सन्दूक के आगे आगे चला।

4. And when they brought the Arke of God out of the house of Abinadab, that was at Gibeah, Ahio went before the Arke,

5. और दाऊद और इस्राएल का समस्त घराना यहोवा के आगे सनौवर की लकड़ी के बने हुए सब प्रकार के बाजे और वीणा, सारंगियां, डफ, डमरू, झांझ बजाते रहे।

5. And Dauid and al the house of Israel played before the Lord on all instruments made of firre, and on harpes, and on Psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

6. जब वे नाकोन के खलिहान तक आए, तब उज्जा ने अपना हाथ परमेश्वर के सन्दूक की ओर बढ़ाकर उसे थाम लिया, क्योंकि बैलों ने ठोकर खाई।

6. And when they came to Nachons threshing floore, Vzzah put his hande to the Arke of God, and helde it: for the oxen did shake it.

7. तब यहोवा का कोप उज्जा पर भड़क उठा; और परमेश्वर ने उसके दोेष के कारण उसको वहां ऐसा मारा, कि वह वहां परमेश्वर के सन्दूक के पास मर गया।

7. And the Lord was verie wroth with Vzzah, and God smote him in the same place for his fault, and there he dyed by the Arke of God.

8. तब दाऊद अप्रसन्न हुआ, इसलिये कि यहोवा उज्जा पर टूट पड़ा था; और उस ने उस स्थान का नाम पेरेसुज्जा रखा, यह नाम आज के दिन तक वर्तमान है।

8. And Dauid was displeased, because the Lord had smitten Vzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez Vzzah vntill this day.

9. और उस दिन दाऊद यहोवा से डरकर कहने लगा, यहोवा का सन्दूक मेरे यहां क्योंकर आए?

9. Therefore Dauid that day feared the Lord, and sayd, How shall the Arke of the Lord come to mee?

10. इसलिये दाऊद ने यहोवा के सन्दूक को अपने यहां दाऊदपुर में पहुंचाना न चाहा; परन्तु गतवासी ओबेदेदोम के यहां पहुंचाया।

10. So Dauid would not bring the Arke of the Lord vnto him into the citie of Dauid, but Dauid caried it into ye house of Obed-edom a Gittite.

11. और यहोवा का सन्दूक गती ओबेदेदोम के घर में तीन महीने रहा; और यहोवा ने ओबेदेदोम और उसके समस्त घराने को आशिष दी।

11. And the Arke of the Lord continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite, three moneths, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom, and all his houshold.

12. तब दाऊद राजा को यह बताया गया, कि यहोवा ने ओबेदेदोम के घराने पर, और जो कुछ उसका है, उस पर भी परमेश्वर के सन्दूक के कारण आशिष दी है। तब दाऊद ने जाकर परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को ओबेदेदोम के घर से दाऊदपुर में आनन्द के साथ पहूंचा दिया।

12. And one told King Dauid, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that hee hath, because of the Arke of God: therefore Dauid went and brought the Arke of God from the house of Obed-edom, into the citie of Dauid with gladnesse.

13. जब यहोवा के सन्दूक के उठानेवाले छे कदम चल चुके, तब दाऊद ने एक बैल और एक पाला पोसा हुआ बछड़ा बलि कराया।

13. And when they that bare the Arke of the Lord had gone sixe paces, he offred an oxe, and a fatte beast.

14. और दाऊद सनी का एपोद कमर में कसे हुए यहोवा के सम्मुख तन मन से नाचता रहा।

14. And Dauid danced before the Lord with al his might, and was girded with a linnen Ephod.

15. यों दाऊद और इस्राएल का समस्त घराना यहोवा के सन्दूक को जय जयकार करते और नरसिंगा फूंकते हुए ले चला।

15. So Dauid and all the house of Israel, brought the Arke of the Lord with shouting, and sound of trumpet.

16. जब यहोवा का सन्दूक दाऊदपुर में आ रहा था, तब शाऊल की बेटी मीकल ने खिड़की में से झांककर दाऊद राजा को यहोवा के सम्मुख नाचते कूदते देखा, और उसे मन ही मन तुच्छ जाना।

16. And as the Arke of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal Sauls daughter looked through a windowe, and sawe King Dauid leape, and dance before the Lord, and shee despised him in her heart.

17. और लोग यहोवा का सन्दूक भीतर ले आए, और उसके स्थान में, अर्थात् उस तम्बू में रखा, जो दाऊद ने उसके लिये खड़ा कराया था; और दाऊद ने यहोवा के सम्मुख होमबलि और मेलबलि चढ़ाए।

17. And when they had brought in the Arke of the Lord, they set it in his place, in the mids of the tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it: then Dauid offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings before the Lord.

18. जब दाऊद होमबलि और मेलबलि चढ़ा चुका, तब उस ने सेनाओं के यहोवा के नाम से प्रजा को आशीर्वाद दिया।

18. And assoone as Dauid had made an ende of offring burnt offrings and peace offrings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord of hostes,

19. तब उस ने समस्त प्रजा को, अर्थात्, क्या स्त्री क्या पुरूष, समस्त इस्राएली भीड़ के लोगों को एक एक रोटी, और एक एक टुकड़ा मांस, और किशमिश की एक एक टिकिया बंटवा दी। तब प्रजा के सब लोग अपने अपने घर चले गए।

19. And gaue among all the people, euen among the whole multitude of Israel, aswel to the women as men, to euerie one a cake of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a bottell of wine: so all the people departed euerie one to his house.

20. तब दाऊद अपने घराने को आशीर्वाद देने के लिये लौटा। और शाऊल की बेटी मीकल दाऊद से मिलने को निकली, और कहने लगी, आज इस्राएल का राजा जब अपना शरीर अपने कर्मचारियों की लौंडियों के साम्हने ऐसा उघाड़े हुए था, जैसा कोई निकम्मा अपना तन उघाढ़े रहता है, तब क्या ही प्रतापी देख पड़ता था !

20. The Dauid returned to blesse his house, and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meete Dauid, and sayde, O howe glorious was the King of Israel this day, which was vncouered to day in the eyes of the maidens of his seruantes, as a foole vncouereth himselfe.

21. दाऊद ने मीकल से कहा, यहोवा, जिस ने तेरे पिता और उसके समस्त घराने की सन्ती मुझ को चुनकर अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल का प्रधान होने को ठहरा दिया है, उसके सम्मुख मैं ने ऐसा खेला-- और मैं यहोवा के सम्मुख इसी प्रकार खेला करूंगा।

21. Then Dauid sayd vnto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me rather then thy father, and all his house, and commanded me to bee ruler ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel: and therefore will I play before the Lord,

22. और इस से भी मैं अधिक तुच्छ बनूंगा, और अपने लेखे नीच ठहरूंगा; और जिन लौंडियों की तू ने चर्चा की वे भी मेरा आदरमान करेंगी।

22. And will yet be more vile then thus, and will be low in mine owne sight, and of the verie same maidseruants, which thou hast spoken of, shall I be had in honour.

23. और शाऊल की बेटी मीकल के मरने के दिन तक उसके कोई सन्तान न हुआ।

23. Therfore Michal the daughter of Saul had no childe vnto the day of her death.
