1. इब्राहीम मम्रे के बांजो के बीच कड़ी धूप के समय तम्बू के द्वार पर बैठा हुआ था, तब यहोवा ने उसे दर्शन दिया :
इब्रानियों 13:2

1. Forsothe in the valei of Mambre the Lord apperide to Abraham, sittynge in the dore of his tabernacle, in thilke heete of the dai.

2. और उस ने आंख उठाकर दृष्टि की तो क्या देखा, कि तीन पुरूष उसके साम्हने खड़े हैं : जब उस ने उन्हे देखा तब वह उन से भेंट करने के लिये तम्बू के द्वार से दौड़ा, और भूमि पर गिरकर दण्डवत् की और कहने लगा,

2. And whanne he hadde reisid his iyen, thre men apperiden to hym, and stoden nyy hym. And whanne he hadde seyn hem, he ran fro the dore of his tabernacle in to the meting of hem, and he worschipide on erthe,

3. हे प्रभु, यदि मुझ पर तेरी अनुग्रह की दृष्टि है तो मैं बिनती करता हूं, कि अपने दास के पास से चले न जाना।

3. and seide, Lord, if Y haue founde grace in thin iyen, passe thou not thi seruaunt,

4. मैं थोड़ा सा जल लाता हूं और आप अपने पांव धोकर इस वृक्ष के तले विश्राम करें।
लूका 7:44

4. but I schal brynge a litil watir, and youre feet be waischid, and reste ye vndur the tre;

5. फिर मैं एक टुकड़ा रोटी ले आऊं और उस से आप अपने जीव को तृप्त करें; तब उसके पश्चात् आगे बढें : क्योंकि आप अपने दास के पास इसी लिये पधारे हैं। उन्हों ने कहा, जैसा तू कहता है वैसा ही कर।

5. and Y schal sette a mussel of breed, and youre herte be coumfortid; aftirward ye schulen passe; for herfor ye bowiden to youre seruaunt. Whiche seiden, Do thou as thou hast spoke.

6. सो इब्राहीम ने तम्बू में सारा के पास फुर्ती से जाकर कहा, तीन सआ मैदा फुर्ती से गून्ध, और फुलके बना।

6. Abraham hastide in to the tabernacle, to Sare, and seide to hir, Hast thou, meddle thou thre half buschelis of clene flour; and make thou looues bakun vndur aischis.

7. फिर इब्राहीम गाय बैल के झुण्ड में दौड़ा, और एक कोमल और अच्छा बछड़ा लेकर अपने सेवक को दिया, और उसने फुर्ती से उसको पकाया।

7. Forsothe he ran to the droue of beestis, and took therof a calf moost tendre and best, and yaf to a child, which hastide, and sethede the calfe;

8. तब उस ने मक्खन, और दूध, और वह बछड़ा, जो उस ने पकवाया था, लेकर उनके आगे परोस दिया; और आप वृक्ष के तले उनके पास खड़ा रहा, और वे खाने लगे।

8. and he took botere, and mylk, and the calf which he hadde sode, and settide bifore hem; forsothe Abraham stood bisidis hem vndur the tre.

9. उन्हों ने उस से पूछा, तेरी पत्नी सारा कहां है? उस ने कहा, वह तो तम्बू में है।

9. And whanne thei hadden ete, thei seiden to hym, Where is Sare thi wijf? He answerde, Lo! sche is in the tabernacle.

10. उस ने कहा मैं वसन्त ऋतु में निश्चय तेरे पास फिर आऊंगा; और तब तेरी पत्नी सारा के एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न होगा। और सारा तम्बू के द्वार पर जो इब्राहीम के पीछे था सुन रही थी।

10. To whom the Lord seide, Y schal turne ayen, and Y schal come to thee in this tyme, if Y lyue; and Sare, thi wijf, schal haue a sone. Whanne this was herd, Sare leiyede bihynde the dore of the tabernacle.

11. इब्राहीम और सारा दोनो बहुत बूढ़े थे; और सारा का स्त्रीधर्म बन्द हो गया था

11. Forsothe bothe weren olde, and of greet age, and wommans termes ceessiden to be maad to Sare.

12. सो सारा मन में हंस कर कहने लगी, मैं तो बूढ़ी हूं, और मेरा पति भी बूढ़ा है, तो क्या मुझे यह सुख होगा?
1 पतरस 3:6

12. And she leiyede, seiynge pryueli, after that Y wexede eld, and my lord is eld, schal Y yyue diligence to lust?

13. तब यहोवा ने इब्राहीम से कहा, सारा यह कहकर कयों हंसी, कि क्या मेरे, जो ऐसी बुढ़िया हो गई हूं, सचमुच एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न होगा?

13. Forsothe the Lord seide to Abraham, Whi leiyeth Sare, thi wijf, seiynge, whether Y an eld womman schal bere child verili?

14. क्या यहोवा के लिये कोई काम कठिन है? नियत समय में, अर्थात् वसन्त ऋतु में, मैं तेरे पास फिर आऊंगा, और सारा के पुत्रा उत्पन्न होगा।

14. whether ony thing is hard to God? Bi the biheeste Y schal turne ayen to thee in this same tyme, if Y lyue; and Sara schal haue a sone.

15. तब सारा डर के मारे यह कहकर मुकर गई, कि मैं नहीं हंसी। उस ने कहा, नहीं; तू हंसी तो थी।।
1 पतरस 3:6

15. Sare was aferd for drede, and denyede, seiynge, Y leiyede not. Forsothe the Lord seide, It is not so, but thou leiyedist.

16. फिर वे पुरूष वहां से चलकर, सदोम की ओर ताकने लगे : और इब्राहीम उन्हें विदा करने के लिये उनके संग संग चला।

16. Therfor whanne the men hadden risen fro thennus, thei dressiden the iyen ayens Sodom; and Abraham yede to gidre, ledynge hem forth.

17. तब यहोवा ने कहा, यह जो मैं करता हूं सो क्या इब्राहीम से छिपा रखूं ?

17. And the Lord seide, Wher Y mowe hele fro Abraham what thingis Y schal do,

18. इब्राहीम से तो निश्चय एक बड़ी और सामर्थी जाति उपजेगी, और पृथ्वी की सारी जातियां उसके द्वारा आशीष पाएंगी।

18. sithen he schal be in to a greet folk and moost strong, and alle naciouns of erthe schulen be blessid in hym?

19. क्योंकि मैं जानता हूं, कि वह अपने पुत्रों और परिवार को जो उसके पीछे रह जाएंगे आज्ञा देगा कि वे यहोवा के मार्ग में अटल बने रहें, और धर्म और न्याय करते रहें, इसलिये कि जो कुछ यहोवा ने इब्राहीम के विषय में कहा है उसे पूरा करे।

19. For Y woot that Abraham schal comaunde hise children, and his hows after hym, that thei kepe the weie of the Lord, and that thei do riytfulnesse and dom, that the Lord bringe for Abraham alle thingis whiche he spak to Abraham.

20. क्योंकि मैं जानता हूं, कि वह अपने पुत्रों और परिवार को जो उसके पीछे रह जाएंगे आज्ञा देगा कि वे यहोवा के मार्ग में अटल बने रहें, और धर्म और न्याय करते रहें, इसलिये कि जो कुछ यहोवा ने इब्राहीम के विषय में कहा है उसे पूरा करे।

20. And so the Lord seide, The cry of men of Sodom and of men of Gomorre is multiplied, and her synne is agreggid greetli; Y schal come doun,

21. इसलिये मैं उतरकर देखूंगा, कि उसकी जैसी चिल्लाहट मेरे कान तक पहुंची है, उन्हों ने ठीक वैसा ही काम किया है कि नहीं : और न किया हो तो मैं उसे जान लूंगा।

21. and schal se whether thei han fillid in werk the cry that cam to me, that Y wite whether it is not so.

22. सो वे पुरूष वहां से मुड़ के सदोम की ओर जाने लगे : पर इब्राहीम यहोवा के आगे खड़ा रह गया।

22. And thei turneden han fro thennus, and yeden to Sodom. Abraham sotheli stood yit bifore the Lord,

23. तब इब्राहीम उसके समीप जाकर कहने लगा, क्या सचमुच दुष्ट के संग धर्मी को भी नाश करेगा ?

23. and neiyede, and seide, Whether thou schalt leese a iust man with the wickid man?

24. कदाचित् उस नगर में पचास धर्मी हों : तो क्या तू सचमुच उस स्थान को नाश करेगा और उन पचास धर्मियों के कारण जो उस में हो न छोड़ेगा ?

24. if fifti iust men ben in the citee, schulen thei perische togidere, and schalt thou not spare that place for fifti iust men, if thei ben ther ynne?

25. इस प्रकार का काम करना तुझ से दूर रहे कि दुष्ट के संग धर्मी को भी मार डाले और धर्मी और दुष्ट दोनों की एक ही दशा हो।
इब्रानियों 12:23

25. Fer be it fro thee that thou do this thing, and sle a iust man with a wickid man, and that a iust man be maad as a wickid man; this is not thin that demest al erthe; thou schalt not make this doom.

26. यहोवा ने कहा यदि मुझे सदोम में पचास धर्मी मिलें, तो उनके कारण उस सारे स्थान को छोडूंगा।

26. And the Lord seide to him, If Y schal fynde in Sodom fifti iust men in the myddis of the citee, Y schal foryyue to al the place for hem.

27. फिर इब्राहीम ने कहा, हे प्रभु, सुन मैं तो मिट्टी और राख हूं; तौभी मैं ने इतनी ढिठाई की कि तुझ से बातें करूं।

27. Abraham answerde and seide, For Y bigan onys, Y schal speke to my Lord, sithen Y am dust and aische;

28. कदाचित् उन पचास धर्मियों मे पांच घट जाए : तो क्या तू पांच ही के घटने के कारण उस सारे नगर का नाश करेगा ? उस ने कहा, यदि मुझे उस में पैंतालीस भी मिलें, तौभी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

28. what if lesse than fifti iust men bi fyue ben, schalt thou do a wey al the cite for fyue and fourti? And the Lord seide, Y schal not do a wei, if I schal fynde fyue and fourti there.

29. फिर उस ने उस से यह भी कहा, कदाचित् वहां चालीस मिलें। उस ने कहा, तो मैं चालीस के कारण भी ऐसा ने करूंगा।

29. And eft Abraham seide to hym, But if fourti ben there, what schalt thou do? The Lord seide, Y schal not smyte for fourti.

30. फिर उस ने कहा, हे प्रभु, क्रोध न कर, तो मैं कुछ और कहूं : कदाचित् वहां तीस मिलें। उस ने कहा यदि मुझे वहां तीस भी मिलें, तौभी ऐसा न करूंगा।

30. Abraham seide, Lord, Y biseche, take thou not to indignacioun, if Y speke; what if thretti be foundun there? The Lord answerde, Y schal not do, if Y schal fynde thretti there.

31. फिर उस ने कहा, हे प्रभु, सुन, मैं ने इतनी ढिठाई तो की है कि तुझ से बातें करूं : कदाचित् उस में बीस मिलें। उस ने कहा, मैं बीस के कारण भी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

31. Abraham seide, For Y bigan onys, Y schal speke to my Lord; what if twenti be foundun there? The Lord seide, Y schal not sle for twenti.

32. फिर उस ने कहा, हे प्रभु, क्रोध न कर, मैं एक ही बार और कहूंगा : कदाचित् उस में दस मिलें। उस ने कहा, तो मैं दस के कारण भी उसका नाश न करूंगा।

32. Abraham seide, Lord, Y biseche, be thou not wrooth, if Y speke yit onys; what if ten be founden there? The Lord seide, Y schal not do a wey for ten.

33. जब यहोवा इब्राहीम से बातें कर चुका, तब चला गया : और इब्राहीम अपने घर को लौट गया।।

33. The Lord yede forth, after that he ceesside to speke to Abraham, and Abraham turnede ayen in to his place.
