1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel to his servant John:

2. Who bore witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3. धन्य है वह जो इस भविष्यद्वाणी के वचन को पढ़ता है, और वे जो सुनते हैं और इस में लिखी हुई बातों को मानते हैं, क्योंकि समय निकट आया है।।

3. Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it: for the time [is] at hand.

7. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] who pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

9. I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

10. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11. कि जो कुछ तू देखता है, उसे पुस्तक में लिखकर सातों कलीसियाओं के पास भेज दे, अर्थात् इफिसुस और स्मुरना, और पिरगमुन, और थूआतीरा, और सरदीस, और फिलेदिलफिया, और लौदीकिया में।

11. Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

12. और मैं ने उसे जो मुझ से बोल रहा था; देखने के लिये अपना मुंह फेरा; और पीछे घूमकर मैं ने सोने की सात दीवटें देखी।

12. And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands;

13. और उन दीवटों के बीच में मनुष्य के पुत्रा सरीखा एक पुरूष को देखा, जो पांवों तक का वस्त्रा पहिने, और छाती पर सुनहला पटुका बान्धे हुए था।

13. And in the midst of the seven lampstands [one] like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breasts with a golden band.

16. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

17. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18. मैं मर गया था, और अब देख; मैं युगानुयुग जीवता हूं; और मृत्यु और अधोलोक की कुंजियां मेरे ही पास हैं।

18. I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

19. इसलिये जो बातें तू ने देखीं हैं और जो बातें हो रही हैं; और जो इस के बाद होनेवाली हैं, उन सब को लिख ले।

19. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be after this;

20. अर्थात् उन सात तारों का भेद जिन्हें तू ने मेरे दहिने हाथ में देखा था, और उन सात सोने की दीवटों का भेद: वे सात तारे सातों कलीसियाओं के दूत हैं, और वे सात दीवट सात कलीसियाएं हैं।।

20. The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven lampstands which thou sawest are the seven churches.
