1. And the fifth angel trumpeted. And I saw a star out of the heaven falling onto the earth. And the key to the pit of the abyss was given to it.

5. And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they be tormented five months. And their torment is as the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.

6. उन दिनों में मनुष्य मृत्यु को ढूंढ़ेंगे, ओर न पाएंगे; और मरने की लालसा करेंगे, और मृत्यु उस से भागेगी।

6. And in those days men will seek death, and they will not find it. And they will long to die, yet death will flee from them.

10. And they have tails like scorpions, and their stings were in their tails; and their authority is to harm men five months.

11. And they have a king over them, the angel of the abyss. In Hebrew his name was Abaddon, and in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

12. पहिली विपत्ति बीत चुकी, देखो अब इन के बाद दो विपत्तियां और होनेवाली हैं।।

12. The first woe has departed; behold, after these things come two woes.

13. और जब छठवें स्वर्गदूत ने तुरही फंूकी तो जो सोने की वेदी परमेश्वर के साम्हने है उसके सींगो में से मैं ने ऐसा शब्द सुना।

15. And the four angels were released, those having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men.

16. और फौजों के सवारों की गिनती बीस करोड़ थी; मैं ने उन की गिनती सुनी।

16. And the number of the armies of the cavalry was two myriads of myriads; and I heard their number.

17. और मुझे इस दर्शन में घोड़े और उन के ऐसे सवार दिखाई दिए, जिन की झिलमें आग, और धूम्रकान्त, और गन्धक की सी थीं, और उन घोड़ों के सिर सिंहों के सिरों के से थे: और उन के मुंह से आग, और धुआं, और गन्धक निकलती थी।

17. And so I saw in the vision the horses, and those sitting on them, having fire-colored breastplates, even dusky red and brimstone-like; and the heads of the horses as heads of lions; and out of their mouths come fire and smoke and brimstone.

18. इन तीनों मरियों; अर्थात् आग, और धुएं, और गन्धक से जो उसके मुंह से निकलती थीं, मनुष्यों की एक तिहाई मार डाली गई।

18. By these three were killed the third part of men, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone coming out of their mouths.

19. क्योंकि उन घोड़ों की सामर्थ उन के मुंह, और उन की पूंछों में थी; इसलिये कि उन की पूंछे सांपों की सी थीं, और उन पूंछों के सिर भी थे, और इन्हीं से वे पीड़ा पहुंचाते थे।

19. For their authority is in their mouth, and in their tails; for their tails are like snakes, having heads, and they do harm with them.

20. और बाकी मनुष्यों ने जो उन मरियों से न मरे थे, अपने हाथों के कामों से मन न फिराया, कि दुष्टात्माओं की, और सोने और चान्दी, और पीतल, और पत्थर, और काठ की मूरतों की पूजा न करें, जो न देख, न सुन, न चल सकती हैं।
