1. अब, हे इस्राएल, जो जो विधि और नियम मैं तुम्हें सिखाना चाहता हूं उन्हें सुन लो, और उन पर चलो; जिस से तुम जीवित रहो, और जो देश तुम्हारे पितरों का परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हें देता है उस में जाकर उसके अधिकारी हो जाओ।

1. And now herken Israel vnto the ordinauces and lawes, which I teach you that ye do them, yt ye maye lyue, and come in, & take possession of the londe, which the LORDE God of yor fathers geueth vnto you.

2. जो आज्ञा मैं तुम को सुनाता हूं उस में न तो कुछ बढ़ाना, और न कुछ घटाना; तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की जो जो आज्ञा मैं तुम्हें सुनाता हूं उन्हें तुम मानना।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 22:18

2. Ye shal put nothinge vnto the worde which I commaunde you, nether do oughte there from, that ye maye kepe the commaundementes of the LORDE youre God, which I commaunde you.

3. तुम ने तो अपनी आंखों से देखा है कि बालपोर के कारण यहोवा ने क्या क्या किया; अर्थात् जितने मनुष्य बालपोर के पीछे हो लिये थे उन सभों को तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हारे बीच में से सत्यानाश कर डाला;

3. Youre eyes haue sene what the LORDE hath done wt Baal Peor: all them that walked after Baal Peor, hath the LORDE thy God destroied from amonge you.

4. परन्तु तुम जो अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साथ लिपटे रहे हो सब के सब आज तक जीवित हो।

4. But ye that cleue vnto the LORDE yor God, are all aliue this daye.

5. सुनो, मैं ने तो अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार तुम्हें विधि और नियम सिखाए हैं, कि जिस देश के अधिकारी होने जाते हो उस में तुम उनके अनुसार चलो।

5. Beholde I haue taughte you ordinauces and lawes, soch as the LORDE my God commaunded me, that ye shulde do eue so in the londe, into ye which ye shal come, to possesse it.

6. सो तुम उनको धारण करना और मानना; क्योंकि और देशों के लोगों के साम्हने तुम्हारी बुद्धि और समझ इसी से प्रगट होगी, अर्थात् वे इन सब विधियों को सुनकर कहेंगे, कि निश्चय यह बड़ी जाति बुद्धिमान और समझदार है।

6. Kepe them now therfore and do them: for that is youre wysdome and vnderstondinge in the sight of all nacions, which wha they haue herde all these ordinaunces, shall saye: O what a wyse and vnderstondinge folke is this? and how excellent a people?

7. देखो, कौन ऐसी बड़ी जाति है जिसका देवता उसके ऐसे समीप रहता हो जैसा हमारा परमेश्वर यहोवा, जब कि हम उस को पुकारते हैं?
रोमियों 3:2

7. For where is there so excellent a nacion, that hath goddes so nye him, as the LORDE oure God is nye vnto vs, as oft as we call vpon him?

8. फिर कौन ऐसी बड़ी जाति है जिसके पास ऐसी धर्ममय विधि और नियम हों, जैसी कि यह सारी व्यवस्था जिसे मैं आज तुम्हारे साम्हने रखता हूं?

8. And where is there so excellent a nacion, that hath so righteous ordinaunces and lawes, as all this lawe which I laye before you this daye.

9. यह अत्यन्त आवश्यक है कि तुम अपने विषय में सचेत रहो, और अपने मन की बड़ी चौकसी करो, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि जो जो बातें तुम ने अपनी आंखों से देखीं उनको भूल जाओ, और वह जीवन भर के लिये तुम्हारे मन से जाती रहे; किन्तु तुम उन्हें अपने बेटों पोतों को सिखाना।

9. Take hede to thy selfe now, and kepe well thy soule, that thou forget not the thinges which thine eyes haue sene, and that they departe not out of thy hert all the dayes of thy life. And thou shalt teach them thy children and thy childers children,

10. विशेष करके उस दिन की बातें जिस में तुम होरेब के पास अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के साम्हने खड़े थे, जब यहोवा ने मुझ से कहा था, कि उन लोगों को मेरे पास इकट्ठा कर कि मैं उन्हें अपने वचन सुनाऊं, जिस से वे सीखें, ताकि जितने दिन वे पृथ्वी पर जीवित रहें उतने दिन मेरा भय मानते रहें, और अपने लड़के बालों को भी यही सिखाएं।

10. the daye wha thou stodest before the LORDE thy God by mount Horeb, whan the LORDE sayde vnto me: Gather me the people together, that I maye make them heare my wordes, which they shal lerne, that they maye feare me all the dayes of their life vpon earth, & that they also maye teach their children.

11. तब तुम समीप जाकर उस पर्वत के नीचे खड़े हुए, और वह पहाड़ आग से धधक रहा था, और उसकी लौ आकाश तक पहुंचती थी, और उसके चारों ओर अन्धियारा, और बादल, और घोर अन्धकार छाया हुआ था।
इब्रानियों 12:18-19

11. And ye came nye, & stode vnder ye mount. But the mount burnt euen vnto the myddes of heauen, and there was darknesse, cloudes, and myst.

12. तक यहोवा ने उस आग के बीच में से तुम से बातें की; बातों का शब्द तो तुम को सुनाई पड़ा, परन्तु कोई रूप न देखा; केवल शब्द ही शब्द सुन पड़ा।

12. And ye LORDE spake vnto you out of the myddes of the fyre. The voyce of his wordes ye herde, neuerthelesse ye sawe no ymage, but herde the voyce onely.

13. और उस ने तुम को अपनी वाचा के दसों वचन बताकर उनके मानने की आज्ञा दी; और उन्हें पत्थर की दो पटियाओं पर लिख दिया।

13. And he declared vnto you his couenaunt, which he comaunded you to do, namely, the ten verses, and wrote them vpon two tables of stone.

14. और मुझ को यहोवा ने उसी समय तुम्हें विधि और नियम सिखाने की आज्ञा दी, इसलिये कि जिस देश के अधिकारी होने को तुम पार जाने पर हो उस में तुम उनको माना करो।

14. And the LORDE commmauded me at the same time, to teach you ordinaunces & lawes that ye might do ther after in the londe, in to the which ye go to possesse it.

15. इसलिये तुम अपने विषय में बहुत सावधान रहना। क्योंकि जब यहोवा ने तुम से होरेब पर्वत पर आग के बीच में से बातें की तब तुम को कोई रूप न देख पड़ा,
रोमियों 1:23

15. Kepe well youre soules therfore, for ye sawe no maner of ymage, in the daye wha the LORDE spake vnto you out of the fyre vpon mount Horeb, that ye destroye not youre selues,

16. कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम बिगड़कर चाहे पुरूष चाहे स्त्री के,

16. and make you eny ymage, that is like a man, or woman,

17. चाहे पृथ्वी पर चलनेवाले किसी पशु, चाहे आकाश में उड़नेवाले किसी पक्षी के,

17. or beest vpon earth, or fethered foule vnder the heauen,

18. चाहे भूमि पर रेंगनेवाले किसी जन्तु, चाहे पृथ्वी के जल में रहनेवाली किसी मछली के रूप की कोई मूर्त्ति खोदकर बना लो,

18. or worme vpon the grounde, or fysshe in the water vnder ye earth:

19. वा जब तुम आकाश की ओर आंखे उठाकर, सूर्य, चंद्रमा, और तारों को, अर्थात् आकाश का सारा तारागण देखो, तब बहककर उन्हें दण्डवत् करके उनकी सेवा करने लगो जिनको तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने धरती पर के सब देशवालों के लिये रखा है।

19. yt thou lifte not vp thine eyes towarde heauen, and se the Sonne and the Moone & the starres, and the whole hoost of heaue, and be disceaused, and worsh ppe, and serue them: which the LORDE yi God hath made to serue all nacios vnder ye whole heaue.

20. और तुम को यहोवा लोहे के भट्ठे के सरीखे मि देश से निकाल ले आया है, इसलिये कि तुम उसकी प्रजारूपी निज भाग ठहरो, जैसा आज प्रगट है।
तीतुस 2:14, 1 पतरस 2:9

20. But you hath the LORDE taken, and broughte you out of the yron fornace, namely, out of Egipte, that ye shulde be the people of his enheritaunce, as it is come to passe this daye.

21. फिर तुम्हारे कारण यहोवा ने मुझ से क्रोध करके यह शपथ खाई, कि तू यरदन पार जाने न पाएगा, और जो उत्तम देश इस्राएलियों का परमेश्वर यहोवा उन्हें उनका निज भाग करके देता है उस में तू प्रवेश करने न पाएगा।

21. And the LORDE was angrie with me for youre sakes, so that he sware, yt I shulde not go ouer Iordane, ner come in to that good londe, which the LORDE thy God shall geue the to enheritaunce.

22. किन्तु मुझे इसी देश में मरना है, मैं तो यरदन पार नहीं जा सकता; परन्तु तुम पार जाकर उस उत्तम देश के अधिकारी हो जाओगे।

22. As for me, I must dye in this londe, and shal not go ouer Iordane: But ye shal go ouer, and shall haue that good lode in possession.

23. इसलिये अपने विषय में तुम सावधान रहो, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम उस वाचा को भूलकर, जो तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम से बान्धी है, किसी और वस्तु की मूर्त्ति खोदकर बनाओ, जिसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम को मना किया है।

23. Take hede therfore vnto youre selues, that ye forget not the conuenaunt of the LORDE youre God, and that ye make no ymages of eny maner of fashion as the LORDE thy God hath commaunded.

24. क्योंकि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा भस्म करनेवाली आग है; वह जल उठनेवाला परमेश्वर है।।
इब्रानियों 12:29

24. For the LORDE thy God is a consumynge fyre and a gelous God.

25. यदि उस देश में रहते रहते बहुत दिन बीत जाने पर, और अपने बेटे- पोते उत्पन्न होने पर, तुम बिगड़कर किसी वस्तु के रूप की मूर्ति खोदकर बनाओ, और इस रीति से अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के प्रति बुराई करके उसे अप्रसन्न कर दो,

25. Yf whan ye haue begotten children, and childers children, and haue dwelt in the londe, ye marre youre selues, & make you ymages of eny maner of fashion, and do euell in the sighte of ye LORDE youre God, to prouoke him:

26. तो मैं आज आकाश और पृथ्वी को तुम्हारे विरूद्ध साक्षी करके कहता हूं, कि जिस देश के अधिकारी होने के लिये तुम यरदन पार जाने पर हो उस में तुम जल्दी बिल्कुल नाश हो जाओगे; और बहुत दिन रहने न पाओगे, किन्तु पूरी रीति से नष्ट हो जाओगे।

26. I call heauen and earth to recorde ouer you this daie, that ye shall shortly perishe fro the londe, in to ye which ye go ouer Iordane to possesse it. Ye shal not dwell longe therin, but shal vtterly be destroyed.

27. और यहोवा तुम को देश देश के लोगों में तितर बितर करेगा, और जिन जातियों के बीच यहोवा तुम को पहुंचाएगा उन में तुम थोड़े ही से रह जाओगे।

27. And ye LORDE shal scater you amonge ye nacions and ye shall be left a small people amoge ye Heythen, whyther the LORDE shall brynge you.

28. और वहां तुम मनुष्य के बनाए हुए लकड़ी और पत्थर के देवताओं की सेवा करोगे, जो न देखते, और न सुनते, और न खाते, और न सूंघते हैं।

28. There shal ye serue goddes, which are ye workes of mens handes, euen wodd & stone, which nether se ner heare, ner eate ner smell.

29. परन्तु वहां भी यदि तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को ढूंढ़ोगे, तो वह तुम को मिल जाएगा, शर्त यह है कि तुम अपने पूरे मन से और अपने सारे प्राण से उसे ढूंढ़ो।

29. But yf thou seke the LORDE yi God there thou shalt finde him, yee yf thou seke him wt thy whole hert and with all yi soule.

30. अन्त के दिनों में जब तुम संकट में पड़ो, और ये सब विपत्तियां तुम पर आ पड़ेंगी, तब तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर फिरो और उसकी मानना;

30. Whan thou shalt be strately troubled, & wha all these thinges shal come vpo the in ye latter dayes, then shalt thou turne agayne to ye LORDE thy God, and be obedient vnto his voice.

31. क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा दयालु ईश्वर है, वह तुम को न तो छोड़ेगा और न नष्ट करेगा, और जो वाचा उस ने तेरे पितरों से शपथ खाकर बान्धी है उसको नहीं भूलेगा।

31. For ye LORDE yi God is a mercifull God, he shal not forsake the, ner destroye the: nether shall he forget the couenaunt with thy fathers, which he sware vnto them.

32. और जब से परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य हो उत्पन्न करके पृथ्वी पर रखा तब से लेकर तू अपने उत्पन्न होने के दिन तक की बातें पूछ, और आकाश के एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक की बातें पूछ, क्या ऐसाी बड़ी बात कभी हुई वा सुनने में आई है?

32. For axe after the tymes past, which haue bene before the, sens the daie yt God created man vpon earth, from one ende of the heaue vnto the other, whether there was euer eny soch greate thinge done, or eny soch like herde,

33. क्या कोई जाति कभी परमेश्वर की वाणी आग के बीच में से आती हुई सुनकर जीवित रही, जैसे कि तू ने सुनी है?

33. that a people hath herde ye voyce of God speake out of the fyre (as thou hast herde) & yet liued.

34. फिर क्या परमेश्वर ने और किसी जाति को दूसरी जाति के बीच में निकालने को कमर बान्धकर परीक्षा, और चिन्ह, और चमत्कार, और युद्ध, और बली हाथ, और बढ़ाई हुई भुजा से ऐसे बड़े भयानक काम किए, जैसे तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने मि में तुम्हारे देखते किए?

34. Or whether God assaied to go & take vnto him a people out of ye myddes of a nacion, thorow tentacions, thorow tokens, thorow wonders, thorow warre, & thorow a mightie hande, & thorow a stretched out arme, and thorow greate visios, acordinge vnto all as the LORDE youre God hath done with you in Egipte before thine eyes.

35. यह सब तुझ को दिखाया गया, इसलिये कि तू जान रखे कि यहोवा ही परमेश्वर है; उसको छोड़ और कोई है ही नहीं।
मरकुस 12:32-33, 1 कुरिन्थियों 8:4

35. Thou hast sene it yt thou mightest knowe that the LORDE is God, and that there is none other but he onely.

36. आकाश में से उस ने तुझे अपनी वाणी सुनाई कि तुझे शिक्षा दे; और पृथ्वी पर उस ने तुझे अपनी बड़ी आग दिखाई, और उसके वचन आग के बीच में से आते हुए तुझे सुन पड़े।

36. Out of heauen made he the to heare his voyce, that he might nurtoure the: and vpon earth he shewed the his greate feare, & out of ye fyre thou herdest his wordes:

37. और उस ने जो तेरे पितरों से प्रेम रखा, इस कारण उनके पीछे उनके वंश को चुन लिया, और प्रत्यक्ष होकर तुझे अपने बड़े सामर्थ्य के द्वारा मि से इसलिये निकाल लाया,

37. because he loued yi fathers, & chose their sede after the. And he brought ye out wt his presence thorow his mightie power out of Egipte,

38. कि तुझ से बड़ी और सामर्थी जातियों को तेरे आगे से निकालकर तुझे उनके देश में पहुंचाए, और उसे तेरा निज भाग कर दे, जैसा आज के दिन दिखाई पड़ता है;

38. to dryue out (before the) nacions greater and mighter then thou, and to bringe ye in, yt he might geue the their lode to enheritaunce, as it is come to passe this daye.

39. सो आज जान ले, और अपने मन में सोच भी रख, कि ऊपर आकाश में और नीचे पृथ्वी पर यहोवा ही परमेश्वर है; और कोई दूसरा नहीं।
1 कुरिन्थियों 8:4

39. Therfore shalt thou knowe this daye, & turne it into thine herte, that the LORDE is God aboue in heauen, and beneth vpon earth, and that there is no mo.

40. और तू उसकी विधियों और आज्ञाओं को जो मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूं मानना, इसलिये कि तेरा और तेरे पीछे तेरे वंश का भी भला हो, और जो देश तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे देता है उस में तेरे दिन बहुत वरन सदा के लिये हों।

40. Kepe his ornaunces therfore and commaundementes, which I commaunde the this daie, the shal it go well wt the and thy children after the, so that thy life shal longe endure in ye londe, which the LORDE the God geueth the thy life longe.

41. तब मूसा ने यरदन के पार पूर्व की ओर तीन नगर अलग किए,

41. Then separated Moses thre cities beyonde Iordane, towarde the Sonne rysinge,

42. इसलिये कि जो कोई बिना जाने और बिना पहले से बैर रखे अपने किसी भाई को मार डाले, वह उन में से किसी नगर में भाग जाए, और भागकर जीवित रहे:

42. yt he might flye thither, which had slayne his neghboure vnawarres, & hated him not afore tyme, yt he might flye in to one of these cities, & lyue.

43. अर्थात् रूबेनियों का बेसेर नगर जो जंगल के समथर देश में है, और गादियों के गिलाद का रामोत, और मनश्शेइयों के बाशान का गोलान।

43. Bezer in ye wildernes in the playne countre amonge the Rubenites, & Ramoth in Gilead amoge ye Gaddites, & Golan in Basan amonge the Manassites.

44. फिर जो व्यवस्था मूसा ने इस्राएलियों को दी वह यह है;

44. This is the lawe which Moses layed before the children of Israel:

45. ये ही वे चितौनियां और नियम हैं जिन्हें मूसा ने इस्राएलियों को उस समय कह सुनाया जब वे मि से निकले थे,

45. these are the testimonies, ordinaunces, & lawes, yt Moses spake vnto the children of Israel (after they were departed out of Egipte)

46. अर्थात् यरदन के पार बेतपोर के साम्हने की तराई में, एमोरियों के राजा हेशबोनवासी सीहोन के देश में, जिस राजा को उन्हों ने मि से निकलने के पीछे मारा।

46. beyonde Iordane in the valley ouer agaynst the house of Peor, in ye londe of Sion kynge of ye Amorites which dwelt at Hesbon, whom Moses & the childre of Israel smote after they were departed out of Egipte,

47. और उन्हों ने उसके देश को, और बाशान के राजा ओग के देश को, अपने वश में कर लिया; यरदन के पार सूर्योदय की ओर रहनेवाले एमोरियों के राजाओं के ये देश थे।

47. & conquered his lade, & the londe of Og kynge of Basan, two kynges of the Amorites which were beyonde Iordane towarde the Sonne rysinge

48. यह देश अर्नोन के नाले के छोरवाले अरोएर से लेकर सीओन, जो हेर्मोन भी कहलाता है,

48. fro Aroer (which lyeth vpon ye ryuer syde of Arnon) vnto mount Sion, which is Hermon:

49. उस पर्वत तक का सारा देश, और पिसगा की सलामी के नीचे के अराबा के ताल तक, यरदन पार पूर्व की ओर का सारा अराबा है।

49. & all ye playne felde beyonde Iordane eastwarde vnto the see in ye plaine felde vnder mount Pisga.
