1. फिर जब आशीष और शाप की ये सब बातें जो मैं ने तुझ को कह सुनाई हैं तुझ पर घटें, और तू उन सब जातियों के मध्य में रहकर, जहां तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को बरबस पहुंचाएगा, इन बातों को स्मरण करे,

1. And it shall come to pass, when all these things shall come in upon thee the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt bring them back unto thy heart among all the nations whither Yahweh thy God hath driven thee;

2. और अपनी सन्तान सहित अपने सारे मन और सारे प्राण से अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर फिरकर उसके पास लौट आए, और इन सब आज्ञाओं के अनुसार जो मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूं उसकी बातें माने;

2. and thou shalt return unto Yahweh thy God and shalt hearken unto his voice, according to all that I am commanding thee to-day, thou and thy sons, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,

3. तब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को बन्धुआई से लौटा ले आएगा, और तुझ पर दया करके उन सब देशों के लोगों में से जिनके मध्य में वह तुझ को तित्तर बित्तर कर देगा फिर इकट्ठा करेगा।

3. then will Yahweh thy God bring back thy captivity and have compassion upon thee, and return and gather thee from among all the peoples whither Yahweh thy God hath scattered thee.

4. चाहे धरती के छोर तक तेरा बरबस पहुंचाया जाना हो, तौभी तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को वहां से ले आकर इकट्ठा करेगा।
मत्ती 24:31, मरकुस 13:27

4. Though thou be driven out unto the utmost part of the heavens, from thence, will Yahweh thy God gather thee, and, from thence will he fetch thee;

5. और तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे उसी देश में पहुंचाएगा जिसके तेरे पुरखा अधिकारी हुए थे, और तू फिर उसका अधिकारी होगा; और वह तेरी भलाई करेगा, और तुझ को तेरे पुरखाओं से भी गिनती में अधिक बढ़ाएगा।

5. and Yahweh thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it, and he will do thee good and multiply thee beyond thy fathers.

6. और तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तेरे और तेरे वंश के मन का खतना करेगा, कि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से अपने सारे मन और सारे प्राण के साथ प्रेम करे, जिस से तू जीवित रहे।
रोमियों 2:29

6. And Yahweh thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yahweh thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

7. और तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा ये सब शाप की बातें तेरे शत्रुओं पर जो तुझ से बैर करके तेरे पीछे पड़ेंगे भेजेगा।

7. And Yahweh thy God will put all these oaths upon thine enemies and upon them who hated thee who persecuted thee.

8. और तू फिरेगा और यहोवा की सुनेगा, और इन सब आज्ञाओं को मानेगा जो मैं आज तुझ को सुनाता हूं।

8. But, thou, wilt return, and hearken unto the voice of Yahweh, and wilt do all his commandments, which I am commanding thee, to-day,

9. और यहोवा तेरी भलाई के लिये तेरे सब कामों में, और तेरी सन्तान, और पशुओं के बच्चों, और भूमि की उपज में तेरी बढ़ती करेगा; क्योंकि यहोवा फिर तेरे ऊपर भलाई के लिये वैसा ही आनन्द करेगा, जैसा उस ने तेरे पूर्वजों के ऊपर किया था;

9. And Yahweh thy God will make thee pre-eminent, in every work of thy hand in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle and in the fruit of thy ground, for good, for Yahweh will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

10. क्योंकि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की सुनकर उसकी आज्ञाओं और विधियों को जो इस व्यवस्था की पुस्तक में लिखी हैं माना करेगा, और अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर अपने सारे मन और सारे प्राण से मन फिराएगा।।

10. if thou hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy God, to keep his commandments, and his statutes, which are written in this scroll of the law, if thou return unto Yahweh thy God, with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

11. देखो, यह जो आज्ञा मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूं, वह न तो तेरे लिये अनोखी, और न दूर है।
1 यूहन्ना 5:3

11. For as touching this commandment, which I am commanding thee to-day, it is not, too wonderful, for thee, neither is it far off.

12. और न तो यह आकाश में है, कि तू कहे, कि कौन हमारे लिये आकाश में चढ़कर उसे हमारे पास ले आए, और हम को सुनाए कि हम उसे मानें?
रोमियों 10:6-9

12. It is, not in the heavens, that thou shouldest say Who shall ascend for us into the heavens that he may fetch it for us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13. और न यह समुद्र पार है, कि तू कहे, कौन हमारे लिये समुद्र पार जाए, और उसे हमारे पास ले आए, और हम को सुनाए कि हम उसे मानें?

13. Neither is it, over the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who will pass over for us to the other side of the sea, that he may fetch it for us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14. परन्तु यह वचन तेरे बहुत निकट, वरन तेरे मुंह और मन ही में है ताकि तू इस पर चले।।

14. But, near unto thee, is the word, exceedingly, in thy mouth and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15. सुन, आज मैं ने तुझ को जीवन और मरण, हानि और लाभ दिखाया है।

15. See! I have set before thee, to-day, life and prosperity, and death and calamity;

16. क्योंकि मैं आज तुझे आज्ञा देता हूं, कि अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम करना, और उसके मार्गों पर चलना, और उसकी आज्ञाओं, विधियों, और नियमों को मानना, जिस से तू जीवित रहे, और बढ़ता जाए, और तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उस देश में जिसका अधिकारी होने को तू जा रहा है, तुझे आशीष दे।

16. for thou must keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God which I am commanding thee to-day, to love Yahweh thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes, and his regulations, so shalt thou live and multiply, and Yahweh thy God will bless thee, in the land which thou art entering to possess.

17. परन्तु यदि तेरा मन भटक जाए, और तू न सुने, और भटककर पराए देवताओं को दण्डवत करे और उनकी उपासना करने लगे,

17. But, if thy heart shall turn away, and thou wilt, not hearken, but shalt be drawn away, and shalt bow thyself down to other gods and serve them,

18. तो मैं तुम्हें आज यह चितौनी दिए देता हूं कि तुम नि:सन्देह नष्ट हो जाओगे; और जिस देश का अधिकारी होने के लिये तू यरदन पार जा रहा है, उस देश में तुम बहुत दिनों के लिये रहने न पाओगे।

18. I declare unto you, to-day, that ye shall perish, ye shall not prolong your days, upon the soil which thou art passing over the Jordan to enter and possess.

19. मैं आज आकाश और पृथ्वी दोनों को तुम्हारे साम्हने इस बात की साक्षी बनाता हूं, कि मैं ने जीवन और मरण, आशीष और शाप को तुम्हारे आगे रखा है; इसलिये तू जीवन ही को अपना ले, कि तू और तेरा वंश दोनों जीवित रहें;

19. I call to witness against you to-day, the heavens and the earth, that life and death, have I set before thee, the blessing and the curse, therefore shouldest thou choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed;

20. इसलिये अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम करो, और उसकी बात मानों, और उस से लिपटे रहो; क्योंकि तेरा जीवन और दीर्घ जीवन यही है, और ऐसा करने से जिस देश को यहोवा ने इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और याकूब, तेरे पूर्वजों को देने की शपथ खाई थी उस देश में तू बसा रहेगा।।

20. to love Yahweh thy God, to hearken unto his voice, and to cleave unto him, for, he, is thy life, and thy length of days, that thou mayest abide upon the soil which Yahweh sware to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob, to give unto them.
