1. इसलिये प्रिय, बालकों की नाई परमेश्वर के सदृश बनो।

1. Do as God would do. Muchloved children want to do as their fathers do.

2. और प्रेम में चलो; जैसे मसीह ने भी तुम से प्रेम किया; और हमारे लिये अपने आप को सुखदायक सुगन्ध के लिये परमेश्वर के आगे भेंट करके बलिदान कर दिया।

2. Live with love as Christ loved you. He gave Himself for us, a gift on the altar to God which was as a sweet smell to God.

3. और जैसा पवित्रा लागों के योग्य है, वैसा तु में व्यभिचार, और किसी प्रकार अशुद्ध काम, या लोभ की चर्चा तक न हो।

3. Do not let sex sins or anything sinful be even talked about among those who belong to Christ. Do not always want everything.

4. और न निर्लज्जता, न मूढ़ता की बातचीत की, न ठट्ठे की, क्योंकि ये बातें सोहती नहीं, बरन धन्यवाद ही सुना जाएं।

4. Do not be guilty of telling bad stories and of foolish talk. These things are not for you to do. Instead, you are to give thanks for what God has done for you.

5. क्योंकि तुम यह जानते हो, कि किसी व्यभिचारी, या अशुद्ध जन, या लोभी मनुष्य की, जो मूरत पूजनेवाले के बराबर है, मसीह और परमेश्वर के राज्य में मीरास नहीं।

5. Be sure of this! No person who does sex sins or who is not pure will have any part in the holy nation of Christ and of God. The same is true for the person who always wants what other people have. This becomes a god to him.

6. कोई तुम्हें व्यर्थ बातों से धोखा न दे; क्योंकि इन ही कामों के कारण परमेश्वर का क्रोध आज्ञा ने माननेवालों पर भड़कता है।

6. Do not let anyone lead you in the wrong way with foolish talk. The anger of God comes on such people because they choose to not obey Him.

7. इसलिये तुम उन के सहभागी न हो।

7. Have nothing to do with them.

8. क्योंकि तुम तो पहले अन्धकार थे परन्तु अब प्रभु में ज्योति हो, सो ज्योति की सन्तान की नाई चलो।

8. At one time you lived in darkness. Now you are living in the light that comes from the Lord. Live as children who have the light of the Lord in them.

9. (क्योंकि ज्योंति का फल सब प्रकार की भलाई, और धार्मिकता, और सत्य है)।

9. This light gives us truth. It makes us right with God and makes us good.

10. और यह परखो, कि प्रभु को क्या भाता है?

10. Learn how to please the Lord.

11. और अन्धकार के निष्फल कामों में सहभागी न हो, बरन उन पर उलाहना दो।

11. Have nothing to do with the bad things done in darkness. Instead, show that these things are wrong.

12. क्योंकि उन के गुप्त कामों की चर्चा भी लाज की बात है।

12. It is a shame even to talk about these things done in secret.

13. पर जितने कामों पर उलाहना दिया जाता है वे सब ज्योति से प्रगट होते हैं, क्योंकि जो सब कुछ को प्रगट करता है, वह ज्योंति है।

13. All things can be seen when they are in the light. Everything that can be seen is in the light.

14. इस कारण वह कहता है, हे सोनेवाले जाग और मुर्दों में से जी उठ; तो मसीह की ज्योति तुझ पर चमकेगी।।
यशायाह 52:1, यशायाह 60:1

14. The Holy Writings say, 'Wake up, you who are sleeping. Rise from the dead and Christ will give you light.' (Isaiah 60:1)

15. इसलिये ध्यान से देखो, कि कैसी चाल चलते हो; निर्बुद्धियों की नाईं नहीं पर बुद्धिमानों की नाईं चलो।

15. So be careful how you live. Live as men who are wise and not foolish.

16. और अवसर को बहुमोल समझो, क्योंकि दिन बुरे हैं।

16. Make the best use of your time. These are sinful days.

17. इस कारण निर्बुद्धि न हो, पर ध्यान से समझो, कि प्रभु की इच्छा क्या है?

17. Do not be foolish. Understand what the Lord wants you to do.

18. और दाखरस से मतवाले न बनो, क्योंकि इस से लुचपर होता है, पर आत्मा से परिपूर्ण होते जाओ।
नीतिवचन 23:31

18. Do not get drunk with wine. That leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

19. और आपस में भजन और स्तुतिगान और आत्मिक गीत गाया करो, और अपने अपने मन में प्रभु के साम्हने गाते और कीर्तन करते रहो।

19. Tell of your joy to each other by singing the Songs of David and church songs. Sing in your heart to the Lord.

20. और सदा सब बातों के लिये हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह के नाम से परमेश्वर पिता का धन्यवाद करते रहो।

20. Always give thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

21. और मसीह के भय से एक दूसरे के आधीन रहो।।

21. Be willing to help and care for each other because of Christ. By doing this, you honor Christ.

22. हे पत्नियों, अपने अपने पति के ऐसे अधीन रहो, जैसे प्रभु के।
उत्पत्ति 3:16

22. Wives, obey your own husbands. In doing this, you obey the Lord.

23. क्योंकि पति पत्नी का सिर है जैसे कि मसीह कलीसिया का सिर है; और आप ही देह का उद्धारकर्ता है।

23. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. It is His body (the church) that He saves.

24. पर जैसे कलीसिया मसही के आधीन है, वैसे ही पत्नियां भी हर बात में अपने अपने पति के आधीन रहें।

24. As the church is to obey Christ, wives are to obey their own husbands in everything.

25. हे पतियों, अपनी अपनी पत्नी से प्रेम रखो, जैसा मसीह ने भी कलीसिया से प्रेम करके अपने आप को उसके लिये दे दिया।

25. Husbands, love your wives. You must love them as Christ loved the church. He gave His life for it.

26. कि उस को वचन के द्वारा जल के स्नान से शुद्ध करके पवित्रा बनाए।

26. Christ did this so He could set the church apart for Himself. He made it clean by the washing of water with the Word.

27. और उसे एक ऐसी तेजस्वी कलीसिया बनाकर अपने मास खड़ी करे, जिस में न कलंक, न झुर्री, न कोई ऐसी वस्तु हो, बरन पवित्रा और निर्दोष हो।

27. Christ did this so the church might stand before Him in shining-greatness. There is to be no sin of any kind in it. It is to be holy and without blame.

28. इसी प्रकार उचित है, कि पति अपनी अपनी पत्नी से प्रेम रखता है, वह अपने आप से प्रेम रखता है।

28. So men should love their wives as they love their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

29. क्योंकि किसी ने कभी अपने शरीर से बैर नहीं रखा बरन उसका पालन- पोषण करता है, जैसा मसीह भी कलीसिया के साथ करता है

29. No man hates himself. He takes care of his own body. That is the way Christ does. He cares for His body which is the church.

30. इसलिये कि हम उस की देह के अंग हैं।

30. We are all a part of His body, the church.

31. इस कारण मनुष्य माता पिता को छोड़कर अपनी पत्नी से मिला रहेगा, और वे दोनों एक तन होंगे।

31. For this reason, a man must leave his father and mother when he gets married and be joined to his wife. The two become one.

32. यह भेद तो बड़ा है; पर मैं मसीह और कलीसिया के विषय में कहता हूं।

32. This is hard to understand, but it shows that the church is the body of Christ.

33. पर तुम में से हर एक अपनी पत्नी से अपने समान प्रेम रखे, और पत्नी भी अपने पति का भय माने।।

33. So every man must love his wife as he loves himself. Every wife must respect her husband.
