1. It is actually heard that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even named among the Gentiles--that a man has his father's wife!

2. और तुम शोक तो नहीं करते, जिस से ऐसा काम करनेवाला तुम्हारे बीच में से निकाला जाता, परन्तु घमण्ड करते हो।

2. And you are puffed up, and have not rather grieved, so that he who did this deed would be removed from your midst.

3. मैं तो शरीर के भाव से दूर था, परन्तु आत्मा के भाव से तुम्हारे साथ होकर, मानो उपस्थिति ही दशा में ऐसे काम करनेवाले के विषय में यह आज्ञा दे चुका हूं।

3. For I indeed, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has done this deed in this way,

4. कि जब तुम, और मेरी आत्मा, हमारे प्रभु यीशु की सामर्थ के साथ इकट्ठे हो, तो ऐसा मनुष्य, हमारे प्रभु यीशु के नाम से।

4. in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5. deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, in order that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6. तुम्हारा घमण्ड करना अच्छा नहीं; क्या तुम नहीं जानते, कि थोड़ा सा खमीर पूरे गूंधे हुए आटे को खमीर कर देता है।

6. Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole batch?

7. Purge out the old leaven, in order that you may be a new batch of dough, since you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

8. So then let us observe the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

10. Yet I certainly did not mean with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world!

11. मेरा कहना यह है; कि यदि कोई भाई कहलाकर, व्यभिचारी, या लोभी, या मूत्तिपूजक, या गाली देनेवाला, या पियक्कड़, या अन्धेर करनेवाला हो, तो उस की संगति मत करना; बरन ऐसे मनुष्य के साथ खाना भी न खाना।

11. But now I write to you not to associate with anyone named a brother, who is a fornicator, or covetous person, or an idolater, or abusive person, or a drunkard, or a swindler--not even to eat with such a person.

12. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?

13. But those who are outside God will judge. Therefore 'put away from yourselves the evil person.'
