1. और हे भाइयों, जब मैं परमेश्वर का भेद सुनाता हुआ तुम्हारे पास आया, तो वचन या ज्ञान की उत्तमता के साथ नहीं आया।

1. And Y, britheren, whanne Y cam to you, cam not in the heiynesse of word, ethir of wisdom, tellynge to you the witnessyng of Crist.

2. क्योंकि मैं ने यह ठान लिया था, कि तुम्हारे बीच यीशु मसीह, बरन क्रूस पर चढ़ाए हुए मसीह को छोड़ और किसी बात को न जानूं।

2. For Y demede not me to kunne ony thing among you, but Crist Jhesu, and hym crucified.

3. और मैं निर्बलता और भय के साथ, और बहुत थरथराता हुआ तुम्हारे साथ रहा।

3. And Y in sikenesse, and drede, and myche trembling, was among you;

4. ओर मेरे वचन, और मेरे प्रचार में ज्ञान की लुभानेवाली बातें नहीं; परन्तु आत्मा और सामर्थ का प्रमाण था।

4. and my word and my preching was not in suteli sturyng wordis of mannus wisdom, but in schewyng of spirit and of vertu;

5. इसलिये कि तुम्हारा विश्वास मनुष्यों के ज्ञान पर नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर की सामर्थ पर निर्भर हो।।

5. that youre feith be not in the wisdom of men, but in the vertu of God.

6. फिर भी सिद्ध लोगों में हम ज्ञान सुनाते हैं: परन्तु इस संसार का और इस संसार के नाश होनेवाले हाकिमों का ज्ञान नहीं।

6. For we speken wisdom among perfit men, but not wisdom of this world, nether of princes of this world, that ben distried;

7. परन्तु हम परमेश्वर का वह गुप्त ज्ञान, भेद की रीति पर बताते हैं, जिसे परमेश्वर ने सनातन से हमारी महिमा के लिये ठहराया।

7. but we speken the wisdom of God in mysterie, `which wisdom is hid; which wisdom God bifor ordeynede bifor worldis in to oure glorie,

8. जिसे इस संसार के हाकिमों में से किसी ने नहीं जाना, क्योंकि यदि जानते, तो तेजोमय प्रभु को क्रूस पर न चढ़ाते।

9. परन्तु जैसा लिखा है, कि जो आंख ने नहीं देखी, और कान ने नहीं सुना, और जो बातें मनुष्य के चित्त में नहीं चढ़ी वे ही हैं, जो परमेश्वर ने अपने प्रेम रखनेवालों के लिये तैयार की हैं।

10. परन्तु परमेश्वर ने उन को अपने आत्मा के द्वारा हम पर प्रगट किया; क्योंकि आत्मा के द्वारा हम पर प्रगट किया; क्योंकि आत्मा सब बातें, बरन परमेश्वर की गूढ़ बातें भी जांचता है।

11. मनुष्यों में से कौन किसी मनुष्य की बातें जानता, केवल मनुष्य की बातें भी कोई नहीं जानता, केवल परमेवर का आत्मा।
नीतिवचन 20:27

11. And who of men woot, what thingis ben of man, but the spirit of man that is in hym? So what thingis ben of God, no man knowith, but the spirit of God.

12. परन्तु हम ने संसार की आत्मा नहीं, परन्तु वह आत्मा पाया है, जो परमेश्वर की ओर से है, कि हम उन बातों को जानें, जो परमेश्वर ने हमें दी हैं।

12. And we han not resseiued the spirit of this world, but the spirit that is of God, that we wite what thingis ben youun to vs of God.

13. जिन को हम मनुष्यों के ज्ञान की सिखाई हुई बातों में नहीं, परन्तु आत्मा की सिखाई हुई बातों में, आत्मिक बातें आत्मिक बातों से मिला मिलाकर सुनाते हैं।

13. Whiche thingis we speken also, not in wise wordis of mannus wisdom, but in the doctryn of the spirit, and maken a liknesse of spiritual thingis to goostli men.

14. परनतु शारीरिक मनुष्य परमेश्वर के आत्मा की बातें ग्रहण नहीं करता, क्योंकि वे उस की दृष्टि में मूर्खता की बातें हैं, और न वह उन्हें जान सकता है क्योंकि उन की जांच आत्मिक रीति से होती है।

14. For a beestli man perseyueth not tho thingis that ben of the spirit of God; for it is foli to hym, and he may not vndurstonde, for it is examyned goostli.

15. आत्मिक जन सब कुछ जांचता है, परन्तु वह आप किसी से जांचा नहीं जाता।

15. But a spiritual man demeth alle thingis, and he is demed of no man.

16. क्योंकि प्रभु का मन किस ने जाना है, कि उसे सिखलाए? परन्तु हम में मसीह का मन है।।
यशायाह 40:13
