1. और हे भाइयों, जब मैं परमेश्वर का भेद सुनाता हुआ तुम्हारे पास आया, तो वचन या ज्ञान की उत्तमता के साथ नहीं आया।

1. And I brethren when I came to you came not in gloriousnes of wordes or of wysdome shewynge vnto you the testimony of God.

2. क्योंकि मैं ने यह ठान लिया था, कि तुम्हारे बीच यीशु मसीह, बरन क्रूस पर चढ़ाए हुए मसीह को छोड़ और किसी बात को न जानूं।

2. Nether shewed I my selfe that I knewe eny thinge amonge you save Iesus Christ eve the same that was crucified.

3. और मैं निर्बलता और भय के साथ, और बहुत थरथराता हुआ तुम्हारे साथ रहा।

3. And I was amoge you in weaknes and in feare and in moche treblinge.

4. ओर मेरे वचन, और मेरे प्रचार में ज्ञान की लुभानेवाली बातें नहीं; परन्तु आत्मा और सामर्थ का प्रमाण था।

4. And my wordes and my preachinge were not with entysynge wordes of manes wysdome: but in shewinge of ye sprete and of power

5. इसलिये कि तुम्हारा विश्वास मनुष्यों के ज्ञान पर नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर की सामर्थ पर निर्भर हो।।

5. that youre fayth shuld not stonde in ye wysdome of me but in yt power of God.

6. फिर भी सिद्ध लोगों में हम ज्ञान सुनाते हैं: परन्तु इस संसार का और इस संसार के नाश होनेवाले हाकिमों का ज्ञान नहीं।

6. That we speake of is wysdome amonge them that are perfecte: not the wysdome of this worlde nether of the rulars of this worlde (which go to nought)

7. परन्तु हम परमेश्वर का वह गुप्त ज्ञान, भेद की रीति पर बताते हैं, जिसे परमेश्वर ने सनातन से हमारी महिमा के लिये ठहराया।

7. but we speake ye wysdome of God which is in secrete and lieth hyd which God ordeyned before the worlde vnto oure glory:

8. जिसे इस संसार के हाकिमों में से किसी ने नहीं जाना, क्योंकि यदि जानते, तो तेजोमय प्रभु को क्रूस पर न चढ़ाते।
भजन संहिता 24:7-10

8. which wysdome none of ye rulars of the worlde knewe. For had they knowe it they wolde not have crucified the Lorde of glory.

9. परन्तु जैसा लिखा है, कि जो आंख ने नहीं देखी, और कान ने नहीं सुना, और जो बातें मनुष्य के चित्त में नहीं चढ़ी वे ही हैं, जो परमेश्वर ने अपने प्रेम रखनेवालों के लिये तैयार की हैं।
यशायाह 52:15, यशायाह 64:4

9. But as it is written: The eye hath not sene and the eare hath not hearde nether have entred into the herte of man ye thinges which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10. परन्तु परमेश्वर ने उन को अपने आत्मा के द्वारा हम पर प्रगट किया; क्योंकि आत्मा के द्वारा हम पर प्रगट किया; क्योंकि आत्मा सब बातें, बरन परमेश्वर की गूढ़ बातें भी जांचता है।

10. But God hath opened them vnto vs by his sprete. For ye sprete searcheth all thinges ye the bottome of Goddes secretes.

11. मनुष्यों में से कौन किसी मनुष्य की बातें जानता, केवल मनुष्य की बातें भी कोई नहीं जानता, केवल परमेवर का आत्मा।
नीतिवचन 20:27

11. For what man knoweth the thinges of a ma: save ye sprete of a man which is with in him? Even so ye thinges of God knoweth no man but ye sprete of god.

12. परन्तु हम ने संसार की आत्मा नहीं, परन्तु वह आत्मा पाया है, जो परमेश्वर की ओर से है, कि हम उन बातों को जानें, जो परमेश्वर ने हमें दी हैं।

12. And we have not receaved the sprete of ye worlde: but the sprete which cometh of god for to knowe the thinges that are geve to vs of god

13. जिन को हम मनुष्यों के ज्ञान की सिखाई हुई बातों में नहीं, परन्तु आत्मा की सिखाई हुई बातों में, आत्मिक बातें आत्मिक बातों से मिला मिलाकर सुनाते हैं।

13. which thinges also we speake not in the conynge wordes of manes wysdome but with the conynge wordes of the holy goost makynge spretuall coparesons of spretuall thinges.

14. परनतु शारीरिक मनुष्य परमेश्वर के आत्मा की बातें ग्रहण नहीं करता, क्योंकि वे उस की दृष्टि में मूर्खता की बातें हैं, और न वह उन्हें जान सकता है क्योंकि उन की जांच आत्मिक रीति से होती है।

14. For ye naturall man perceaveth not the thinges of the sprete of god. For they are but folysshnes vnto him. Nether can he perceave them because he is spretually examined.

15. आत्मिक जन सब कुछ जांचता है, परन्तु वह आप किसी से जांचा नहीं जाता।

15. But he that is spretuall discusseth all thinges: yet he him selfe is iudged of no ma.

16. क्योंकि प्रभु का मन किस ने जाना है, कि उसे सिखलाए? परन्तु हम में मसीह का मन है।।
यशायाह 40:13

16. For who knoweth the mynde of the Lorde other who shall informe him? But we vnderstonde the mynde of Christ.
