1. सो अब जो मसीह यीशु में हैं, उन पर दण्ड की आज्ञा नहीं: क्योंकि वे शरीर के अनुसार नहीं बरन आत्मा के अनुसार चलते हैं।

1. Now, because of this, those who belong to Christ will not suffer the punishment of sin.

2. क्योंकि जीवन की आत्मा की व्यवस्था ने मसीह यीशु में मुझे पाप की, और मृत्यु की व्यवस्था से स्वतंत्रा कर दिया।

2. The power of the Holy Spirit has made me free from the power of sin and death. This power is mine because I belong to Christ Jesus.

3. क्योंकि जो काम व्यवस्था शरीर के कारण दुर्बल होकर न कर सकी, उस को परमेश्वर ने किया, अर्थात् अपने ही पुत्रा को पापमय शरीर की समानता में, और पाप के बलिदान होने के लिये भेजकर, शरीर में पाप पर दण्ड की आज्ञा दी।

3. The Law could not make me free from the power of sin and death. It was weak because it had to work with weak human beings. But God sent His own Son. He came to earth in a body of flesh which could be tempted to sin as we in our bodies can be. He gave Himself to take away sin. By doing that, He took away the power sin had over us.

4. इसलिये कि व्यवस्था की विधि हम में जो शरीर के अनुसार नहीं बरन आत्मा के अनुसार चलते हैं, पूरी की जाए।

4. In that way, Jesus did for us what the Law said had to be done. We do not do what our sinful old selves tell us to do anymore. Now we do what the Holy Spirit wants us to do.

5. क्योंकि शरीरिक व्यक्ति शरीर की बातों पर मन लगाते हैं; परन्तु आध्यात्मिक आत्मा की बातों पर मन लगाते हैं।

5. Those who let their sinful old selves tell them what to do live under that power of their sinful old selves. But those who let the Holy Spirit tell them what to do are under His power.

6. शरीर पर मन लगाना तो मृत्यु है, परन्तु आत्मा पर मन लगाना जीवन और शान्ति है।

6. If your sinful old self is the boss over your mind, it leads to death. But if the Holy Spirit is the boss over your mind, it leads to life and peace.

7. क्योंकि शरीर पर मन लगाना तो परमेश्वर से बैर रखना है, क्योंकि न तो परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था के अधीन है, और न हो सकता है।

7. The mind that thinks only of ways to please the sinful old self is fighting against God. It is not able to obey God's Laws. It never can.

8. और जो शारीरिक दशा में है, वे परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न नहीं कर सकते।

8. Those who do what their sinful old selves want to do cannot please God.

9. परन्तु जब कि परमेश्वर का आत्मा तुम में बसता है, तो तुम शारीरिक दशा में नहीं, परन्तु आत्मिक दशा में हो। यदि किसी में मसीह का आत्मा नहीं तो वह उसका जन नहीं।

9. But you are not doing what your sinful old selves want you to do. You are doing what the Holy Spirit tells you to do, if you have God's Spirit living in you. No one belongs to Christ if he does not have Christ's Spirit in him.

10. और यदि मसीह तुम में है, तो देह पाप के कारण मरी हुई है; परन्तु आत्मा धर्म के कारण जीवित है।

10. If Christ is in you, your spirit lives because you are right with God, and yet your body is dead because of sin.

11. और यदि उसी का आत्मा जिस ने यीशु को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया तुम में बसा हुआ है; तो जिस ने मसीह को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया, वह तुम्हारी मरनहार देहों को भी अपने आत्मा के द्वारा जो तुम में बसा हुआ है जिलाएगा।

11. The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead. If the same Holy Spirit lives in you, He will give life to your bodies in the same way.

12. सो हे भाइयो, हम शरीर के कर्जदान नहीं, ताकि शरीर के अनुसार दिन काटें।

12. So then, Christian brothers, we are not to do what our sinful old selves want us to do.

13. क्योंकि यदि तुम शरीर के अनुसार दिन काटोगे, तो मरोगे, यदि आत्मा से देह की क्रियाओं को मारोगे, तो जीवित रहोगे।

13. If you do what your sinful old selves want you to do, you will die in sin. But if, through the power of the Holy Spirit, you destroy those actions to which the body can be led, you will have life.

14. इसलिये कि जितने लोग परमेश्वर के आत्मा के चलाए चलते हैं, वे ही परमेश्वर के पुत्रा हैं।

14. All those who are led by the Holy Spirit are sons of God.

15. क्योंकि तुम को दासत्व की आत्मा नहीं मिली, कि फिर भयभीत हो परन्तु लेपालकपन की आत्मा मिली है, जिस से हम हे अब्बा, हे पिता कहकर पुकारते हैं।

15. You should not act like people who are owned by someone. They are always afraid. Instead, the Holy Spirit makes us His sons, and we can call to Him, 'My Father.'

16. आत्मा आप ही हमारी आत्मा के साथ गवाही देता है, कि हम परमेश्वर की सन्तान हैं।

16. For the Holy Spirit speaks to us and tells our spirit that we are children of God.

17. और यदि सन्तान हैं, तो वारिस भी, बरन परमेश्वर के वारिस और मसीह के संगी वारिस हैं, जब कि हम उसके साथ दुख उठाएं कि उसके साथ महिमा भी पाएं।।

17. If we are children of God, we will receive everything He has promised us. We will share with Christ all the things God has given to Him. But we must share His suffering if we are to share His shining-greatness.

18. क्योंकि मैं समझता हूं, कि इस समय के दु:ख और क्लेश उस महिमा के साम्हने, जो हम पर प्रगट होनेवाली है, कुछ भी नहीं हैं।

18. I am sure that our suffering now cannot be compared to the shining-greatness that He is going to give us.

19. ैक्योंकि सृष्टि बड़ी आशाभरी दृष्टि से परमेश्वर के पुत्रों के प्रगट होने की बाट जोह रही है।

19. Everything that has been made in the world is waiting for the day when God will make His sons known.

20. क्योंकि सृष्टि अपनी इच्छा से नहीं पर आधीन करनेवाले की ओर से व्यर्थता के आधीन इस आशा से की गई।

20. Everything that has been made in the world is weak. It is not that the world wanted it to be that way. God allowed it to be that way. Yet there is hope.

21. कि सृष्टि भी आप ही विनाश के दासत्व से छुटकारा पाकर, परमेश्वर की सन्तानों की महिमा की स्वतंत्राता प्राप्त करेगी।

21. Everything that has been made in the world will be set free from the power that can destroy. These will become free just as the children of God become free.

22. क्योंकि हम जानते हैं, कि सारी सृष्टि अब तक मिलकर कहरती और पीड़ाओं में पड़ी तड़पती है।

22. We know that everything on the earth cries out with pain the same as a woman giving birth to a child.

23. और केवल वही नहीं पर हम भी जिन के पास आत्मा का पहिला फल है, आप ही अपने में कहरते हैं; और लेपालक होने की, अर्थात् अपनी देह के छुटकारे की बाट जोहते हैं।

23. We also cry inside ourselves, even we who have received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the first of God's gifts to us. We are waiting to become His complete sons when our bodies are made free.

24. आशा के द्वारा तो हमारा उद्धार हुआ है परन्तु जिस वस्तु की आशा की जाती है जब वह देखने में आए, तो फिर आशा कहां रही? क्योकि जिस वस्तु को कोई देख रहा है उस की आशा क्या करेगा?

24. We were saved with this hope ahead of us. Now hope means we are waiting for something we do not have. How can a man hope for something he already has?

25. परन्तु जिस वस्तु को हम नहीं देखते, यदि उस की आशा रखते हैं, तो धीरज से उस की बाट जाहते भी हैं।।

25. But if we hope for something we do not yet see, we must learn how to wait for it.

26. इसी रीति से आत्मा भी हमारी दुर्बलता में सहायता करता है, क्योंकि हम नहीं जानते, कि प्रार्थना किस रीति से करना चाहिए; परन्तु आत्मा आप ही ऐसी आहें भर भरकर जो बयान से बाहर है, हमारे लिये बिनती करता है।

26. In the same way, the Holy Spirit helps us where we are weak. We do not know how to pray or what we should pray for, but the Holy Spirit prays to God for us with sounds that cannot be put into words.

27. और मनों का जांचनेवाला जानता है, कि आत्मा की मनसा क्या है? क्योंकि वह पवित्रा लोगों के लिये परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार बिनती करता है।
भजन संहिता 139:1

27. God knows the hearts of men. He knows what the Holy Spirit is thinking. The Holy Spirit prays for those who belong to Christ the way God wants Him to pray.

28. और हम जानते हैं, कि जो लोग परमेश्वर से प्रेम रखते हैं, उन के लिये सब बातें मिलकर भलाई ही को उत्पन्न करती है; अर्थात् उन्हीं के लिये जो उस की इच्छा के अनुसार बुलाए हुए हैं।

28. We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan.

29. क्योंकि जिन्हें उस ने पहिले से जान लिया है उन्हें पहिले से ठहराया भी है कि उसके पुत्रा के स्वरूप में हों ताकि वह बहुत भाइयों में पहिलौठा ठहरे।

29. God knew from the beginning who would put their trust in Him. So He chose them and made them to be like His Son. Christ was first and all those who belong to God are His brothers.

30. फिर जिन्हें उन से पहिले से ठहराया, उन्हें बुलाया भी, और जिन्हें बुलाया, उन्हें धर्मी भी ठहराया है, और जिन्हें धर्मी ठहराया, उन्हें महिमा भी दी है।।

30. He called to Himself also those He chose. Those He called, He made right with Himself. Then He shared His shining-greatness with those He made right with Himself.

31. सो हम इन बातों के विषय में क्या कहें? यदि परमेश्वर हमारी ओर है, तो हमारा विरोधी कौन हो सकता है?
भजन संहिता 118:6

31. What can we say about all these things? Since God is for us, who can be against us?

32. जिस ने अपने निज पुत्रा को भी न रख छोड़ा, परन्तु उसे हम सब के लिये दे दिया: वह उसके साथ हमें और सब कुछ क्योंकर न देगा?

32. God did not keep His own Son for Himself but gave Him for us all. Then with His Son, will He not give us all things?

33. परमेश्वर के चुने हुओं पर दोष कौन लगाएगा? परमेश्वर वह है जो उनको धर्मी ठहरानेवाला है।
यशायाह 50:8

33. Who can say anything against the people God has chosen? It is God Who says they are right with Himself.

34. फिर कौन है जो दण्ड की आज्ञा देगा? मसीह वह है जो मर गया बरन मुर्दों में से जी भी उठा, और परमेश्वर की दहिती ओर है, और हमारे लिये निवेदन भी करता है।

34. Who then can say we are guilty? It was Christ Jesus Who died. He was raised from the dead. He is on the right side of God praying to Him for us.

35. कौन हम को मसीह के प्रेम से अलग करेगा? क्या क्लेश, या संकट, या उपद्रव, या अकाल, या नंगाई, या जोखिम, या तलवार?

35. Who can keep us away from the love of Christ? Can trouble or problems? Can suffering wrong from others or no food? Can it be because of no clothes or because of danger or war?

36. जैसा लिखा है, कि तेरे लिये हम दिन भर घात किए जाते हैं; हम वध होनेवाली भेंडों की नाई गिने गए हैं।
भजन संहिता 44:22

36. The Holy Writings say, 'Because of belonging to Jesus, we are in danger of being killed all day long. We are thought of as sheep that are ready to be killed.' (Psalm 44:22)

37. परन्तु इन सब बातों में हम उसके द्वारा जिस ने हम से प्रेम किया है, जयवन्त से भी बढ़कर हैं।

37. But we have power over all these things through Jesus Who loves us so much.

38. क्योंकि मैं निश्चय जानता हूं, कि न मृत्यु, न जीवन, न स्वर्गदूत, न प्रधानताएं, न वर्तमान, न भविष्य, न सामर्थ, न ऊंचाई,

38. For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot!

39. न गहिराई और न कोई और सृष्टि, हमें परमेश्वर के प्रेम से, जो हमारे प्रभु मसीह यीशु में है, अलग कर सकेगी।।

39. The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.
