1. और प्रेरितों और भाइयों ने जो यहूदिया में थे सुना, कि अन्यजातियों ने भी परमेश्वर का वचन मान लिया है।

1. It came to the ears of the apostles and the brethren which were in Jewry, that the heathen also had received the word of God.(And the Apostles and the brethren that were thorowout Jewry heard say that the Heathen had also received the word of God.)

2. और जब पतरस यरूशलेम में आया, तो खतना किए हुए लोग उस से वाद- विवाद करने लगे।

2. (And) When Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they of the circumcision disputed(reasoned) with him, saying:

3. कि तू ने खतनारहित लोगों के यहां जाकर उन से साथ खाया।

3. Thou wentest in unto(into) men uncircumcised, and atest with them.

4. तब पतरस ने उन्हें आरम्भ से क्रमानुसार कह सुनाया;

4. (Then) Peter began and expounded the thing in order to them saying:

5. कि मैं याफा नगर में प्रार्थना कर रहा था, और बेसुध होकर एक दर्शन देखा, कि एक पात्रा, बड़ी चादर के समान चारों कोनों से लटकाया हुआ, आकाश से उतरकर मेरे पास आया।

5. I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision; A certain vessel descend, as it had been a large linen cloth, let down from heaven by the four corners; And it came to me:

6. जब मैं ने उस पर ध्यान किया, तो पृथ्वी के चौपाए और बनपशु और रेंगनेवाले जन्तु और आकाश के पक्षी देखे।

6. into the which when I had fastened mine eyes I considered and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and vermin and worms, and fowls of the air.

7. और यह शब्द भी सुना कि हे पतरस उठ मार और खा।

7. (And) I heard also a voice saying unto me: Arise Peter, slay and eat.

8. मैं ने कहा, नहीं प्रभु, नहीं, क्योंकि कोई अपवित्रा या अशुद्ध वस्तु मेरे मुंह में कभी नहीं गई।

8. And I said: God forbid Lord, for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.(mought)

9. इस के उत्तर में आकाश से दूसरी बार शब्द हुआ, कि जो कुछ परमेश्वर ने शुद्ध ठहराया है, उसे अशुद्ध मत कह।

9. (But) The voice answered me again from heaven count not thou those things common,(unclean) which God hath cleansed.

10. तीन बार ऐसा ही हुआ; तब सब कुछ फिर आकाश पर खींच लिया गया।

10. And this was done three times. And all were taken up again into heaven.

11. और देखो, तुरन्त तीन मनुष्य जो कैसरिया से मेरे पास भेजे गए थे, उस घर पर जिस में हम थे, आ खड़े हुए।

11. And behold immediately were there three men come unto the house where I was, sent from Cesarea unto me.

12. तब आत्मा ने मुझ से उन के साथ बेखटके हो लेने को कहा, और ये छ: भाई भी मेरे साथ हो लिए; और हम उस मनुष्य के घर में गए।

12. And the spirit said unto me, that I should go with them, without doubting. Moreover the six brethren accompanied me. And we entered into the man's house.

13. और उस ने बताया, कि मैं ने एक स्वर्गदूत को अपने घर में खड़ा देखा, जिस ने मुझ से कहा, कि याफा में मनुष्य भेजकर शमौन को जो पतरस कहलाता है, बुलवा ले।

13. And he shewed us, how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said to him: Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, named also Peter

14. वह तुम से ऐसी बातें कहेगा, जिन के द्वारा तू और तेरा सारा घराना उद्वार पाएगा।

14. he shall tell thee words, whereby both thou and all thine house shall be saved.

15. जब मैं बातें करने लगा, तो पवित्रा आत्मा उन पर उसी रीति से उतरा, जिस रीति से आरम्भ में हम पर उतरा था।

15. And as I began to preach, the holy ghost fell on them, as he did on us at the beginning.

16. तब मुझे प्रभु का वह वचन स्मरण आया; जो उस ने कहा; कि यूहन्ना ने तो पानी से बपतिस्मा दिया, परन्तु तुम पवित्रा आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाओगे।

16. Then came to my remembrance the words of the Lord, how he said: John baptised with water, but ye shall be baptised with the holy ghost.

17. सो जब कि परमेश्वर ने उन्हें भी वही दान दिया, जो हमें प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करने से मिला था; तो मैं कौन था जो परमेश्वर को रोक सकता?

17. Forasmuch then as God gave them like gifts, as he did unto us, when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ: what was I that I should have withstood God?

18. यह सुनकर, वे चुप रहे, और परमेश्वर की बड़ाई करके कहने लगे, तक तो परमेश्वर ने अन्यजातियों को भी जीवन के लिये मन फिराव का दान दिया है।।

18. when they heard this, they held their peace and glorified(praised) God, saying: Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19. सो जो लोग उस क्लेश के मारे जो स्तिफनुस के कारण पड़ा था, तित्तर बित्तर हो गए थे, वे फिरते फिरते फीनीके और कुप्रुस और अन्ताकिया में पहुंचे; परन्तु यहूदियों को छोड़ किसी और को वचन न सुनाते थे।

19. They which were scattered abroad thorow the affliction(trouble) that arose about Steven, walked thorow out till they came unto Phenice and Cypers and Antioche, preaching the word to no man, but unto the jews only.

20. परन्तु उन में से कितने कुप्रुसी और कुरेनी थे, जो अन्ताकिया में आकर युनानियों को भी प्रभु यीशु का सुसमचार की बातें सुनाने लगे।
निर्गमन 8:19

20. Some of them were men of Cypers and of Syrene, which when they were come into Antioch, spake unto the greeks, and preached the Lord Jesus.(the Gospell of the LORDE Iesu)

21. और प्रभु का हाथ उन पर था, और बहुत लोग विश्वास करके प्रभु की ओर फिरे।

21. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned unto the Lord.

22. तब उन की चर्चा यरूशलेम की कलीसिया के सुनने में आई, और उन्हों ने बरनबास को अन्ताकिया भेजा।

22. Tidings of this(these things) came unto the ears of the congregation, which was in Jerusalem; And they sent forth Barnabas that he should go unto Antioche.

23. वह वहां पहुंचकर, और परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह को देखकर आनन्दित हुआ; और सब को उपदेश दिया कि तन मन लगाकर प्रभु से लिपटे रहो।

23. Which when he was come, and had seen the grace of the Lord,(God) was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would continually cleave unto the Lord.

24. क्योंकि वह एक भला मनुष्य था; और पवित्रा आत्मा से परिपूर्ण था: और और बहुत से लोग प्रभु में आ मिले।

24. For he was a perfect(good) man, and full of the holy ghost and of faith. And much people was added unto the Lord.

25. तब वह शाऊल को ढूंढने के लिये तरसुस को चला गया।

25. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul,

26. और जब उन से मिला तो उसे अन्ताकिया में लाया, और ऐसा हुआ कि वे एक वर्ष तक कलीसिया के साथ मिलते और बहुत लोगों को उपदेश देते रहे, और चेले सब से पहिले अन्ताकिया ही में मसीही कहलाए।।

26. and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioche. And it chanced that a whole year they had their conversation with the congregation there, and taught much people insomuch that the disciples of Antioche were the first that were called Christen.

27. उन्हीं दिनों में कई भविष्यद्वक्ता यरूशलेम से अन्ताकिया में आए।

27. In those days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioche.

28. उन में से अगबुस नाम एक ने खड़े होकर आत्मा की प्रेरणा से यह बताया, कि सारे जगत में बड़ा अकाल पड़ेगा, और वह अकाल क्लौदियुस के समय में पड़ा।

28. (And) There stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified(declared) by the spirit, that there should be great dearth throughout all the world, which came to pass in the Emperor Claudius days.

29. तब चेलों ने ठहराया, कि हर एक अपनी अपनी पूंजी के अनुसार यहूदिया में रहनेवाले भाइयों की सेवा के लिये कुछ भेजे।

29. Then the disciples every man according to his ability, purposed to send succour(an handreaching) unto the brethren which dwelt in Jewry,

30. और उन्हों ने ऐसा ही किया; और बरनबास और शाऊल के हाथ प्राचीनों के पास कुछ भेज दिया।।

30. which thing they also did, and sent it to the seniors,(elders) by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
