1. फिर उस ने अपने चेलों से कहा; हो नहीं सकता कि ठोकरें न लगें, परन्तु हाय, उस मनुष्य पर जिस के कारण वे आती है!

1. Then said he to his(the) disciples, it cannot be avoided, but that occasions of evil(offenses will) come. Nevertheless woe be to him thorow whom they come.

2. जो इन छोटों में से किसी एक को ठोकर खिलाता है, उसके लिये यह भला होता, कि चक्की का पाट उसके गले में लटकाया जाता, और वह समुद्र में डाल दिया जाता।

2. It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were cast into the sea, rather than (that) he should offend one of these little ones.

3. सचेत रहो; यदि तेरा भाई अपराध करे तो उसे समझा, और यदि पछताए तो उसे क्षमा कर।

3. Take heed to your selves, if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him: and if he repent,(amend) forgive him.

4. यदि दिन भर में वह सात बार तेरा अपराध करे और सातों बार तेरे पास फिर आकर कहे, कि मैं पछताता हूं, तो उसे क्षमा कर।।

4. And though he sin against thee seven times in one(a) day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee saying: it repenteth me, forgive him.

5. तब प्रेरितों ने प्रभु से कहा, हमारा विश्वास बढ़ा।

5. And the apostles said unto the Lord: increase our faith.

6. प्रभु ने कहा; कि यदि तुम को राई के दाने के बराबर भी विश्वास होता, तो तुम इस तूत के पेड़ से कहते कि जड़ से उखड़कर समुद्र में लग जा, तो वह तुम्हारी मान लेता।

6. (And) The Lord said: if ye had faith like a grain of mustard seed, and should say unto this sycamine(mulberry) tree, pluck thyself up by the roots, and plant thyself in the sea: he should obey you.

7. पर तुम में से ऐसा कौन है, जिस का दास हल जोतता, या भेंड़ें चराता हो, और जब वह खेत से आए, तो उस से कहे तुरन्त आकर भोजन करने बैठ?

7. Which(Who is it) of you having(if he had) a servant a plowing, or feeding cattle, (that) would say unto him when he were come from the field: Go quickly and sit down to meat.

8. और यह न कहे, कि मेरा खाना तैयार कर: और जब तक मैं खाऊं- पीऊं तब तक कमर बान्धकर मेरी सेवा कर; इस के बाद तू भी खा पी लेना।

8. And rather sayeth not(would not rather say) to him, dress wherewith I may sup, and appoint(gird up) thyself and serve me, till I have eaten and drunk: and afterward, eat thou, and drink thou?

9. क्या वह उस दास का निहोरा मानेगा, कि उस ने वे ही काम किए जिस की आज्ञा दी गई थी?

9. Doeth he thank that servant because he did that which was commanded unto him? I trow not.

10. इसी रीति से तुम भी, जब उन सब कामों को कर चुको जिस की आज्ञा तुम्हें दी गई थी, तो कहा, हम निकम्मे दास हैं; कि जो हमें करना चाहिए था वही किया है।।

10. So likewise ye, when ye have done all those things which are commanded unto you: say, we are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.

11. और ऐसा हुआ कि वह यरूशलेम को जाते हुए सामरिया और गलील के बीच से होकर जो रहा था।

11. And it chanced as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed thorow Samaria and Galilee.

12. और किसी गांव में प्रवेश करते समय उसे दस कोढ़ी मिले।

12. And as he entered into a certain town, there met him ten men, that were lepers, which stood afar off,

13. और उन्हों ने दूर खड़े होकर, ऊंचे शब्द से कहा, हे यीशु, हे स्वामी, हम पर दया कर।

13. and put forth their voices, and said: Jesu master, have mercy on us.

14. उस ने उन्हें देखकर कहा, जाओ; और अपने तई याजकों को दिखाओ; और जाते ही जाते वे शुद्ध हो गए।

14. When he saw them, he said unto them: Go and shew yourselves to the priests. And it chanced as they went, they were cleansed.

15. तब उन में से एक यह देखकर कि मैं चंगा हो गया हूं, ऊंचे शब्द से परमेश्वर की बड़ाई करता हुआ लौटा।

15. And one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, turned back again, and with a loud voice praised God,

16. और यीशु के पांवों पर मुंह के बल गिरकर, उसका धन्यवाद करने लगा; और वह सामरी था।

16. and fell down on his face at his feet, and gave him thanks. And the same was a Samaritan.

17. इस पर यीशु ने कहा, क्या दसों शुद्ध न हुए तो फिर वे नौ कहां हैं?

17. (And) Jesus answered and said: Are there not ten cleansed? But where are those nine?

18. क्या इस परदेशी को छोड़ कोई और न निकला, जो परमेश्वर की बड़ाई करता?

18. There are not found that returned again, to give God praise, save only this stranger.

19. तब उस ने उस से कहा; उठकर चला जा; तेरे विश्वास ने तुझे चंगा किया है।।

19. And he said unto him: Arise, and go thy way, thy faith hath saved thee.(made thee whole.)

20. जब फरीसियों ने उस से पूछा, कि परमेश्वर का राज्य कब आएगा? तो उस ने उन को उत्तर दिया, कि पमेश्वर का राज्य प्रगट रूप में नहीं आता।

20. When he was demanded of the pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come: he answered them and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with waiting for.(outward appearance)

21. और लोग यह न कहेंगे, कि देखो, यहां है, या वहां है, क्योंकि देखो, परमेश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे बीच में है।।

21. Neither shall men say: Lo here, lo there. For behold, the kingdom of God is within(inward in) you.

22. और उस ने चेलों से कहा; वे दिन आएंगे, जिन में तुम मनुष्य के पुत्रा के दिनों में से एक दिन को देखना चाहोगे, और नहीं देखने पाओगे।

22. And he said unto the disciples: The days will(time shall) come, when ye shall desire to see one day of the son of man, and ye shall not see it.

23. लोग तुम से कहेंगे, देखो, वहां है, या देखो यहां है; परन्तु तुम चले न जाना और न उन के पीछे हो लेना।

23. And they shall say to you: See here; See there. Go not after them, nor follow them,

24. क्योंकि जैसे बिजली आकाश की एक ओर से कौन्धकर आकाश की दूसरी ओर चमकती है, वैसे ही मनुष्य का पुत्रा भी अपने दिन में प्रगट होगा।

24. for as the lightning that appeareth out of the one part of the heaven, and shineth unto the other part of heaven.(lightening shineth above from the heaven, and lighteth over all that is under the heaven,) So shall the son of man be in his days.

25. परन्तु पहिले अवश्य है, कि वह बहुत दुख उठाए, और इस युग के लोग उसे तुच्छ ठहराएं।

25. But first must he suffer many things, and be reproved(refused) of this nation.

26. जैसा नूह के दिनों में हुआ था, वैसा ही मनुष्य के पुत्रा के दिनों में भी होगा।

26. As it happened(came to pass) in the time of Noe So shall it be in the time of the son of man.

27. जिस दिन तक नूह जहाज पर न चढ़ा, उस दिन तक लोग खाते- पीते थे, और उन में ब्याह- शादी होती थीे; तब जल- प्रलय ने आकर उन सब को नाश किया।

27. They ate, they drank, they married wives and were married even unto the same day that Noe went into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28. और जैसा लूत के दिनों में हुआ था, कि लोग खाते- पीते लेन- देन करते, पेड़ लगाते और घर बनाते थे।

28. Likewise also, as it chanced(came to pass) in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.

29. परन्तु जिस दिन लूत सदोम से निकला, उस दिन आग और गन्धक आकाश से बरसी और सब को नाश कर दिया।
उत्पत्ति 19:24

29. And even the same day that Lot went out of Zodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30. मनुष्य के पुत्रा के प्रगट होने के दिन भी ऐसा ही होगा।

30. After these ensamples, shall the day be,(it be in the day)(After this manner also shall it go) when the son of man shall appear.

31. उस दिन जो कोठे पर हो; और उसका सामान घर में हो, वह उसे लेने को न उतरे, और वैसे ही जो खेत में हो वह पीछे न लौटे।

31. At that day he that is on the house top,(roof) and his stuff in the house: let him not come down to take it out. And likewise let not him that is in the fields, turn back again to that he left behind.

32. लूत की पत्नी को स्मरण रखो।

32. Remember Lot's wife.

33. जो कोई अपना प्राण बचाना चाहे वह उसे खोएगा, और जो कोई उसे खोए वह उसे जीवित रखेगा।

33. Whosoever will go about to save his life, shall lose it: And whosoever shall lose his life, shall quicken(save) it.

34. मैं तुम से कहता हूं, उस रात को मनुष्य एक खाट पर होंगे, एक ले लिया जाएगा, और दूसरा छोड़ दिया जाएगा।

34. I tell you: In that night, there shall be two in one bed, the(that) one shall be received, and the other shall be forsaken.

35. दो स्त्रियां एक साथ चक्की पीसती होंगी, एक ले ली जाएगी, और दूसरी छोड़ दी जाएगी।

35. Two shall be also a grinding together: the one shall be received, and the other forsaken.

36. दो जन खेत में होंगे एक ले लिया जाएगा और दूसरा छोड़ा जाएगा।

36. Two in the field, the one shall be received, and the other forsaken.

37. यह सुन उन्हों ने उस से पूछा, हे प्रभु यह कहां होगा? उस ने उन से कहा, जहां लोथ हैं, वहां गिद्ध इकट्ठे होंगे।।
अय्यूब 39:30

37. And they answered, and said to him: where Lord? And he said unto them: wheresoever The body shall be, thither will the eagles resort.(Where so ever the dead carcase is there will the Aegles be gathered together)
