1. इस पर यीशु फिर उन से दृष्टान्तों में कहने लगा।

1. Then Iesus answered, and spake vnto them againe in parables, saying,

2. स्वर्ग का राज्य उस राजा के समान है, जिस ने अपने पुत्रा का ब्याह किया।

2. The kingdome of heauen is like vnto a certaine King which maried his sonne,

3. और उस ने अपने दासों को भेजा, कि नेवताहारियों को ब्याह के भोज में बुलाएं; परन्तु उन्हों ने आना न चाहा।

3. And sent foorth his seruants, to call them that were bidde to the wedding, but they woulde not come.

4. फिर उस ने और दासों को यह कहकर भेजा, कि नेवताहारियों से कहो, देखो; मैं भोज तैयार कर चुका हूं, और मेरे बैल और पले हुए पशु मारे गए हैं: और सब कुछ तैयार है; ब्याह के भोज में आओ।

4. Againe hee sent foorth other seruants, saying. Tell them which are bidden, Beholde, I haue prepared my dinner: mine oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all thinges are readie: come vnto the mariage.

5. परन्तु वे बेपरवाई करके चल दिए: कोई अपने खेत को, कोई अपने ब्योपार को।

5. But they made light of it, and went their wayes, one to his farme, and another about his marchandise.

6. औरों ने जो बच रहे थे उसके दासों को पकड़कर उन का अनादर किया और मार डाला।

6. And the remnant tooke his seruants, and intreated them sharpely, and slewe them.

7. राजा ने क्रोध किया, और अपनी सेना भेजकर उन हत्यारों को नाश किया, और उन के नगर फूंक दिया।

7. But when the King heard it, he was wroth, and sent foorth his warriers, and destroyed those murtherers, and burnt vp their citie.

8. तब उस ने अपने दासों से कहा, ब्याह का भोज तो तैयार है, परन्तु नेवताहारी योग्य न ठहरे।

8. Then saide hee to his seruants, Truely the wedding is prepared: but they which were bidden, were not worthy.

9. इसलिये चौराहों में जाओ, और जितने लोग तुम्हें मिलें, सब को ब्याह के भोज में बुला लाओ।

9. Go ye therefore out into the high wayes, and as many as ye finde, bid them to the mariage.

10. सो उन दासों ने सड़कों पर जाकर क्या बुरे, क्या भले, जितने मिले, सब को इकट्ठे किया; और ब्याह का घर जेवनहारों से भर गया।

10. So those seruantes went out into the hie wayes, and gathered together all that euer they found, both good and bad: so the wedding was furnished with ghestes.

11. जब राजा जेवनहारों के देखने को भीतर आया; तो उस ने वहां एक मनुष्य को देखा, जो ब्याह का वस्त्रा नहीं पहिने था।

11. Then the King came in, to see the ghestes, and sawe there a man which had not on a wedding garment.

12. उस ने उससे पूछा हे मित्रा; तू ब्याह का वस्त्रा पहिने बिना यहां क्यों आ गया? उसका मुंह बन्द हो गया।

12. And he sayd vnto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither, and hast not on a wedding garment? And he was speachlesse.

13. तब राजा ने सेवकों से कहा, इस के हाथ पांव बान्धकर उसे बाहर अन्धियारे में डाल दो, वहां रोना, और दांत पीसना होगा।

13. Then sayd the King to the seruants, Binde him hand and foote: take him away, and cast him into vtter darkenes: there shalbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14. क्योंकि बुलाए हुए तो बहुत परन्तु चुने हुए थोड़े हैं।।

14. For many are called, but fewe chosen.

15. तब फरीसियों ने जाकर आपस में विचार किया, कि उस को किस प्रकार बातों में फंसाएं।

15. Then went the Pharises and tooke counsell how they might tangle him in talke.

16. सो उन्हों ने अपने चेलों को हेरोदियों के साथ उसके पास यह कहने को भेजा, कि हे गुरू; हम जानते हैं, कि तू सच्चा है; और परमेश्वर का मार्ग सच्चाई से सिखाता है; और किसी की परवा नहीं करता, क्योंकि तू मनुष्यों का मुंह देखकर बातें नही करता।

16. And they sent vnto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we knowe that thou art true, and teachest the way of God truely, neither carest for any man: for thou considerest not the person of men.

17. इस लिये हमें बता तू क्या समझता है? कैसर को कर देना उचित है, कि नहीं।

17. Tell vs therefore, how thinkest thou? Is it lawfull to giue tribute vnto Cesar, or not?

18. यीशु ने उन की दुष्टता जानकर कहा, हे कपटियों; मुझे क्यों परखते हो?

18. But Iesus perceiued their wickednes, and sayd, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

19. कर का सिक्का मुझे दिखाओ: तब वे उसके पास एक दीनार ले आए।

19. Shewe me the tribute money. And they brought him a peny.

20. उस ने, उन से पूछा, यह मूर्त्ति और नाम किस का है?

20. And he sayde vnto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

21. उन्हों ने उस से कहा, कैसर का; तब उस ने, उन से कहा; जो कैसर का है, वह कैसर को; और जो परमेश्वर का है, वह परमेश्वर को दो।

21. They sayd vnto him, Cesars. Then sayd he vnto them, Giue therefore to Cesar, the things which are Cesars, and giue vnto God, those things which are Gods.

22. यह सुनकर उन्हों ने अचम्भा किया, और उसे छोड़कर चले गए।।

22. And when they heard it, they marueiled, and left him, and went their way.

23. उसी दिन सदूकी जो कहते हैं कि मरे हुओं का पुनरूत्थान है ही नहीं उसके पास आए, और उस से पूछा।

23. The same day the Sadduces came to him (which say that there is no resurrection) and asked him,

24. कि हे गुरू; मूसा ने कहा था, कि यदि कोई बिना सन्तान मर जाए, तो उसका भाई उस की पत्नी को ब्याह करके अपने भाई के लिये वंश उत्पन्न करे।

24. Saying, Master, Moses sayd, If a man die, hauing no children, his brother shall marie his wife by the right of alliance, and raise vp seede vnto his brother.

25. अब हमारे यहां सात भाई थे; पहिला ब्याह करके मर गया; और सन्तान न होने के कारण अपनी पत्नी को अपने भाई के लिये छोड़ गया।

25. Nowe there were with vs seuen brethren, and the first maried a wife, and deceased: and hauing none yssue, left his wife vnto his brother.

26. इसी प्रकार दूसरे और तीसरे ने भी किया, और सातों तक यही हुआ।

26. Likewise also the second, and the third, vnto the seuenth.

27. सब के बाद वह स्त्री भी मर गई।

27. And last of all the woman died also.

28. सो जी उठने पर, वह उन सातों में से किस की पत्नी होगी? क्योंकि वह सब की पत्नी हो चुकी थी।

28. Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seuen? for all had her.

29. यीशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, कि तुम पवित्रा शास्त्रा और परमेश्वर की सामर्थ नहीं जानते; इस कारण भूल में पड़ गए हो।

29. Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Ye are deceiued, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

30. क्योंकि जी उठने पर ब्याह शादी न होगी; परन्तु वे स्वर्ग में परमेश्वर के दूतों की नाई होंगे।

30. For in the resurrection they neither marie wiues, nor wiues are bestowed in mariage, but are as the Angels of God in heauen.

31. परन्तु मरे हुओं के जी उठने के विषय में क्या तुम ने यह वचन नहीं पढ़ा जो परमेश्वर ने तुम से कहा।

31. And concerning the resurrection of the dead, haue ye not read what is spoken vuto you of God, saying,

32. कि मैं इब्राहीम का परमेश्वर, और इसहाक का परमेश्वर, और याकूब का परमेश्वर हूं? वह तो मरे हुओं का नहीं, परन्तु जीवतों का परमेश्वर है।
निर्गमन 3:6, निर्गमन 3:16

32. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuing.

33. यह सुनकर लोग उसके उपदेश से चकित हुए।

33. And when the multitude heard it, they were astonied at his doctrine.

34. जब फरीसियों ने सुना, कि उस ने सदूकियों का मुंह बन्द कर दिया; तो वे इकट्ठे हुए।

34. But when the Pharises had heard, that he had put the Sadduces to silence, they assembled together.

35. और उन में से एक व्यवस्थापक ने परखने के लिये, उस से पूछा।

35. And one of them, which was an expounder of the Lawe, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36. हे गुरू; व्यवस्था में कौन सी आज्ञा बड़ी है?

36. Master, which is ye great commandement in the Lawe?

37. उस ने उस से कहा, तू परमेश्वर अपने प्रभु से अपने सारे मन और अपने सारे प्राण और अपनी सारी बुद्धि के साथ प्रेम रख।
व्यवस्थाविवरण 6:5, यहोशू 22:5

37. Iesus sayd to him, Thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soule, and with all thy minde.

38. बड़ी और मुख्य आज्ञा तो यही है।

38. This is the first and the great commandement.

39. और उसी के समान यह दूसरी भी है, कि तू अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम रख।
लैव्यव्यवस्था 19:18

39. And the second is like vnto this, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.

40. ये ही दो आज्ञाएं सारी व्यवस्था और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं का आधार है।।

40. On these two commandements hangeth the whole Lawe, and the Prophets.

41. जब फरीसी इकट्ठे थे, तो यीशु ने उन से पूछा।

41. While the Pharises were gathered together, Iesus asked them,

42. कि मसीह के विषय में तुम क्या समझते हो? वह किस का सन्तान है? उन्हों ने उस से कहा, दाऊद का।

42. Saying, What thinke ye of Christ? whose sonne is he? They sayd vnto him, Dauids.

43. उस ने उन से पूछा, तो दाऊद आत्मा में होकर उसे प्रभु क्यों कहता है?
2 शमूएल 23:2

43. He sayd vnto them, How then doeth Dauid in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44. कि प्रभु ने, मेरे प्रभु से कहा; मेरे दहिने बैठ, जब तक कि मैं तेरे बैरियों को तेरे पांवों के नीचे न कर दूं।
भजन संहिता 110:1

44. The Lord sayd to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footestoole?

45. भला, जब दाऊद उसे प्रभु कहता है, तो वह उसका पुत्रा क्योंकर ठहरा?

45. If then Dauid call him Lord, howe is he his sonne?

46. उसके उत्तर में कोई भी एक बात न कह सका; परन्तु उस दिन से किसी को फिर उस से कुछ पूछने का हियाव न हुआ।।

46. And none could answere him a worde, neither durst any from that day foorth aske him any moe questions.
