1. कोरह जो लेवी का परपोता, कहात का पोता, और यिसहार का पुत्रा था, वह एलीआब के पुत्रा दातान और अबीराम, और पेलेत के पुत्रा ओन,

1. And Corah the son of Jezehar the son of Cahath the son of Levi: and Dathan and Abiram the son of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, the son of Ruben:

2. इन तीनों रूबेनियों से मिलकर मण्डली के अढ़ाई सौ प्रधान, जो सभासद और नामी थे, उनको संग लिया;

2. stood up before Moses, with other of the children of Israel two hundred and fifty, heads of the congregation, and councillors, and men of fame,

3. और वे मूसा और हारून के विरूद्ध उठ खड़े हुए, और उन से कहने लगे, तुम ने बहुत किया, अब बस करो; क्योंकि सारी मण्डली का एक एक मनुष्य पवित्रा है, और यहोवा उनके मध्य में रहता है; इसलिये तुम यहोवा की मण्डली में ऊंचे पदवाले क्यों बन बैठे हो?

3. and they gathered them selves together against Moses and Aaron and said unto them: ye have done enough. For all the multitude are holy every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why therefore heave ye your selves up above the congregation of the LORD.

4. यह सुनकर मूसा अपने मुंह के बल गिरा;

4. When Moses heard it, he fell upon his face

5. फिर उस ने कोरह और उसकी सारी मण्डली से कहा, कि बिहान को यहोवा दिखला देगा कि उसका कौन है, और पवित्रा कौन है, और उसको अपने समीप बुला लेगा; जिसको वह आप चुन लेगा उसी को अपने समीप बुला भी लेगा।
2 तीमुथियुस 2:19

5. and spake unto Corah and unto all his company saying: tomorrow the LORD will shew who is his and who is holy, and will take them unto him, and whom soever he hath chosen, he will cause to come to him.

6. इसलिये, हे कोरह, तुम अपनी सारी मण्डली समेत यह करो, अर्थात् अपना अपना धूपदान ठीक करो;

6. This do: take firepans, thou Corah and all thy company,

7. और कल उन में आग रखकर यहोवा के साम्हने धूप देना, तब जिसको यहोवा चुन ले वही पवित्रा ठहरेगा। हे लेवियों, तुम भी बड़ी बड़ी बातें करते हो, अब बस करो।

7. and do fire therein and put cense thereto before the LORD tomorrow: And then whomsoever the LORD doeth chose, the same is holy. Ye make enough to do ye children of Levi.

8. फिर मूसा ने कोरह से कहा, हे लेवियों, सुनो,

8. And Moses said unto Corah: hear ye children of Levi,

9. क्या यह तुम्हें छोटी बात जान पड़ती है, कि इस्त्राएल के परमेश्वर ने तुम को इस्त्राएल की मण्डली से अलग करके अपने निवास की सेवकाई करने, और मण्डली के साम्हने खड़े होकर उसकी भी सेवा टहल करने के लिये अपने समीप बुला लिया है;

9. Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the multitude of Israel to bring you to him, to do the service of the dwelling place of the LORD, and to stand before the people to minister unto them?

10. और तुझे और तेरे सब लेवी भाइयों को भी अपने समीप बुला लिया है? फिर भी तुम याजक पद के भी खोजी हो?

10. he hath taken thee to him and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee, and ye seek the office of the priest also.

11. और इसी कारण तू ने अपनी सारी मण्डली को यहोवा के विरूद्ध इकट्ठी किया है; हारून कौन है कि तुम उस पर बुड़बुड़ाते हो?

11. For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: for what is Aaron, that ye should murmur against him.

12. फिर मूसा ने एलीआब के पुत्रा दातान और अबीराम को बुलवा भेजा; और उन्हों ने कहा, हम तेरे पास नहीं आएंगे।

12. And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and they answered: we will not come.

13. क्या यह एक छोटी बात है, कि तू हम को ऐसे देश से जिस में दूध और मधु की धाराएं बहती है इसलिये निकाल लाया है, कि हमें जंगल में मार डाले, फिर क्या तू हमारे ऊपर प्रधान भी बनकर अधिकार जताता है?

13. Seemeth it a small thing unto thee that thou hast brought us out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness. But that thou shouldest reign over us also?

14. फिर तू हमें ऐसे देश में जहां दूध और मधु की धाराएं बहती हैं नहीं पहुंचाया, और न हमें खेतों और दाख की बारियों के अधिकारी किया। क्या तू इन लोगों की आंखों में धूलि डालेगा? हम तो नहीं आएंगे।

14. More over thou hast brought us unto no land that floweth with milk and honey, neither hast given us possessions of fields or of vines. Either wilt thou pull out the eyes of these men? we will not come.

15. तब मूसा का कोप बहुत भड़क उठा, और उस ने यहोवा से कहा, उन लोगों की भेंट की ओर दृष्टि न कर। मैं ने तो उन से एक गदहा भी नहीं लिया, और न उन में से किसी की हानि की है।

15. And Moses waxed very angry and said unto the LORD: Turn not unto their offerings. I have not taken so much as an ass from them, neither have vexed any of them.

16. तब मूसा ने कोरह से कहा, कल तू अपनी सारी मण्डली को साथ लेकर हारून के साथ यहोवा के साम्हने हाजिर होना;

16. Then Moses said unto Corah: Be thou and all thy company before the LORD: both thou, they and Aaron tomorrow.

17. और तुम सब अपना अपना धूपदान लेकर उन में धूप देना, फिर अपना अपना धूपदान जो सब समेत अढ़ाई सौ होंगे यहोवा के साम्हने ले जाना; विशेष करके तू और हारून अपना अपना धूपदान ले जाना।

17. And take every man his censer and put cense in them, and come before the LORD every man with his censer: two hundred and fifty censers, and Aaron with his censer.

18. सो उन्हों ने अपना अपना धूपदान लेकर और उन में आग रखकर उन पर धूप डाला; और मूसा और हारून के साथ मिलापवाले तम्बू के द्वार पर खड़े हुए।

18. And they took every man his censer and put fire in them and laid cense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of witness, and Moses and Aaron also.

19. और कोरह ने सारी मण्डली को उनके विरूद्ध मिलापवाले तम्बू के द्वार पर इकट्ठा कर लिया। तब यहोवा का तेज सारी मण्डली को दिखाई दिया।।
यहूदा 1:11

19. And Corah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of witness. And the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

20. तब यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा,

20. And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron saying:

21. उस मण्डली के बीच में से अलग हो जाओ। कि मैं उन्हें पल भर में भस्म कर डालूं।

21. separate your selves from this congregation, that I may consume them at once.

22. तब वे मुंह के बल गिरके कहने लगे, हे ईश्वर, हे सब प्राणियों के आत्माओं के परमेश्वर, क्या एक पुरूष के पाप के कारण तेरा क्रोध सारी मण्डली पर होगा?
इब्रानियों 12:9

22. And they fell upon their faces and said: O most mighty God of the spirits of all flesh, one man hath sinned, and wilt thou be wroth with all the multitude?

23. यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

23. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

24. मण्डली के लोगों से कह, कि कोरह, दातान, और अबीराम के तम्बुओं के आसपास से हट जाओ।

24. speak unto the congregation and say: Get you away from about the dwelling of Corah, Dathan and Abiram.

25. तब मूसा उठकर दातान और अबीराम के पास गया; और इस्त्राएलियों के वृद्ध लोग उसके पीछे पीछे गए।

25. And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.

26. और उस ने मण्डली के लोगों से कहा, तुम उन दुष्ट मनुष्यों के डेरों के पास से हट जाओ, और उनकी कोई वस्तु न छूओ, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम भी उनके सब पापों में फंसकर मिट जाओ।
2 तीमुथियुस 2:19

26. And he spake unto the congregation saying: depart from the tents of these wicked men and twich nothing of theirs: lest ye perish in all their sins.

27. यह सुन वे कोरह, दातान, और अबीराम के तम्बुओं के आसपास से हट गए; परन्तु दातान और अबीराम निकलकर अपनी पत्नियों, बेंटों, और बालबच्चों समेत अपने अपने डेरे के द्वार पर खड़े हुए।

27. And they gat them from the dwelling of Corah, Dathan and Abiram, on every side. And Dathan and Abiram came out and stood in the door of their tents with their wives, their sons and their children.

28. तब मूसा ने कहा, इस से तुम जान लोगे कि यहोवा ने मुझे भेजा है कि यह सब काम करूं, क्योंकि मैं ने अपनी इच्छा से कुछ नहीं किया।

28. And Moses said: Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works, and that I have not done them of mine own mind:

29. यदि उन मनुष्यों की मृत्यु और सब मनुष्यों के समान हो, और उनका दण्ड सब मनुष्यों के समान हो, तब जानों कि मैं यहोवा का भेजा हुआ नहीं हूं।

29. If these men die the common death of all men or if they be visited after the visitation of all men, then the LORD hath not sent me.

30. परन्तु यदि यहोवा अपनी अनोखी शक्ति प्रकट करे, और पृथ्वी अपना मुंह पसारकर उनको, और उनका सब कुछ निगल जाए, और वे जीते जी अधोलोक में जा पड़ें, तो तुम समझ लो कि इन मनुष्यों ने यहोवा का अपमान किया है।

30. But and if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth and swallow them and all that pertain unto them, so that they go down quick in to hell: then ye shall understand, that these men have railed upon the LORD.

31. वह ये सब बातें कह ही चुका था, कि भूमि उन लोगों के पांव के नीचे फट गई;

31. And as soon as he had made an end of speaking all these words, the ground clove asunder that was under them,

32. और पृथ्वी ने अपना मुंह खोल दिया और उनका और उनका घरद्वार का सामान, और कोरह के सब मनुष्यों और उनकी सारी सम्पत्ति को भी निगल लिया।

32. and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them and their houses and all the men that were with Corah and all their goods.

33. और वे और उनका सारा घरबार जीवित ही अधोलोक में जा पड़े; और पृथ्वी ने उनको ढंाप लिया, और वे मण्डली के बीच में से नष्ट हो गए।

33. And they and all that pertained unto them, went down alive unto hell, and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the congregation.

34. और जितने इस्त्राएली उनके चारों ओर थे वे उनका चिल्लाना सुन यह कहते हुए भागे, कि कहीं पृथ्वी हम को भी निगल न ले!

34. And all Israel that were about them, fled at the cry of them. For they said: The earth might happily swallow us also.

35. तब यहोवा के पास से आग निकली, और उन अढ़ाई सौ धूप चढ़ानेवालों को भस्म कर डाला।।

35. And there came out a fire from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered cense.

36. तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

36. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

37. हारून याजक के पुत्रा एलीआजार से कह, कि उन धूपदानों को आग में से उठा ले; और आग के अंगारों को उधर ही छितरा दे, क्योंकि वे पवित्रा हैं।

37. Speak unto Eleazer the son of Aaron the priest and let him take up the censers out of the burning and scatter the fire here and there,

38. जिन्हों ने पाप करके अपने ही प्राणों की हानि की है, उनके धूपदानों के पत्तर पीट पीटकर बनाए जाएं जिस से कि वह वेदी के मढ़ने के काम आवे; क्योंकि उन्हों ने यहोवा के साम्हने रखा था; इस से वे पवित्रा हैं। इस प्रकार वह इस्त्राएलियों के लिये एक निशान ठहरेगा।
इब्रानियों 12:3

38. for the censers of these sinners are hallowed in their deaths: and let them be beaten into thin plates and fastened upon the altar. For they offered them before the LORD, and therefore they are holy and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

39. सो एलीआजर याजक ने उन पीतल के धूपदानों को, जिन में उन जले हुए मनुष्यों ने धूप चढ़ाया था, लेकर उनके पत्तर पीटकर वेदी के मढ़ने के लिये बनवा दिए,

39. And Eleazar the priest took the brazen censers which they that were burnt had offered, and beat them and fastened them upon the altar,

40. कि इस्त्राएलियों को इस बात का स्मरण रहे कि कोई दूसरा, जो हारून के वंश का न हो, यहोवा के साम्हने धूप चढ़ाने को समीप न जाए, ऐसा न हो कि वह भी कोरह और उसकी मण्डली के समान नष्ट हो जाए, जैसे कि यहोवा ने मूसा के द्वारा उसको आज्ञा दी थी।।

40. to be a remembrance unto the children of Israel, that no stranger which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer cense before the LORD, that he be not made like unto Corah and his company: as the LORD said unto him by the hand of Moses.

41. दूसरे दिन इस्त्राएलियों की सारी मण्डली यह कहकर मूसा और हारून पर बुड़बुड़ाने लगी, कि यहोवा की प्रजा को तुम ने मार डाला है।
1 कुरिन्थियों 10:10

41. And on the morrow all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron saying: ye have killed the people of the LORD.

42. और जब मण्डली के लोग मूसा और हारून के विरूद्ध इकट्ठे हो रहे थे, तब उन्हों ने मिलापवाले तम्बू की ओर दृष्टि की; और देखा, कि बादल ने उसे छा लिया है, और यहोवा का तेज दिखाई दे रहा है।

42. And when the multitude was gathered against Moses and Aaron, they looked toward the tabernacle of witness; And behold, the cloud had covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared.

43. तब मूसा और हारून मिलापवाले तम्बू के साम्हने आए,

43. And Moses and Aaron went before the tabernacle of witness.

44. तब यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा,

44. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

45. तुम उस मण्डली के लोगों के बीच से हट जाओ, कि मैं उन्हें पल भर में भस्म कर डालूं। तब वे मुंह के बल गिरे।

45. Get you from this congregation, that I may consume them quickly. And they fell upon their faces.

46. और मूसा ने हारून से कहा, धूपदान को लेकर उस में वेदी पर से आग रखकर उस पर धूप डाल, मण्डली के पास फुरती से जाकर उसके लिये प्रायश्चित्त कर; क्योंकि यहोवा का कोप अत्यन्त भड़का है, और मरी फैलने लगी है।

46. And Moses said unto Aaron: take a censer and put fire therein out of the altar, and pour on cense, and go quickly unto the congregation and make an atonement for them. For there is wrath gone out from the LORD, and there is a plague begun.

47. मूसा की आज्ञा के अनुसार हारून धूपदान लेकर मण्डली के बीच में दौड़ा गया; और यह देखकर कि लोगों में मरी फैलने लगी है, उस ने धूप जलाकर लोगों के लिये प्रायश्चित्त किया।

47. And Aaron took as Moses commanded him, and ran unto the congregation: and behold, the plague was begun among the people, and he put on cense, and made an atonement for the people.

48. और वह मुर्दों और जीवित के मध्य में खड़ा हुआ; तब मरी थम गई।

48. And he stood between the dead, and them that were alive, and the plague ceased.

49. और जो कोरह के संग भागी होकर मर गए थे, उन्हें छोड़ जो लोग इस मरी से मर गए वे चौदह हजार सात सौ थे।

49. And the number of them that died in the plague, were fourteen thousand and seven hundred: beside them that died about the business of Corah.

50. तब हारून मिलापवाले तम्बू के द्वार पर मूसा के पास लौट गया, और मरी थम गई।।

50. And Aaron went again unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of witness, and the plague ceased.
