1. हे बाशान की गायो, यह वचन सुनो, तुम जो सामरिया पर्वत पर हो, जो कंगालों पर अन्धेर करतीं, और दरिद्रों को कुचल डालती हो, और अपने अपने पति से कहती हो कि ला, दे हम पीएं!

1. Listen to the Lord's message, you women who live on the hill of Samaria. You treat poor people badly. You crush those who are in need. You say to your husbands, 'Bring us some drinks!' But you are already as fat as the cows in Bashan.

2. परमेश्वर यहोवा अपनी पवित्राता की शपथ खाकर कहता है, देखो, तुम पर ऐसे दिन आनेवाले हैं, कि तुम कटियाओं से, और तुम्हारी सन्तान मछली की बन्सियों से खींच लिए जाएंगे।

2. The Lord and King has taken an oath in his own holy name. He says, 'You can be sure that the time will come when your enemies will put hooks in your faces. They will lead every one of you away with fishhooks.

3. और तुम बाड़े के नाकों से होकर सीधी निकल जाओगी और हर्म्मोन में डाली जाआगी, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

3. Each of you will go straight out through a gap in the wall. You will be thrown out of the city on the hill where you crush others,' announces the Lord.

4. बेतेल में आकर अपराध करो, और गिल्गाल में आकर बहुत से अपराध करो; अपने चढ़ावे भोर को, और अपने दशमांश हर तीसरे दिन ले आया करो;

4. 'People of Samaria, go to Bethel and sin! Go to Gilgal! Sin there even more! Bring your sacrifices every morning. Every third year, bring a tenth of everything you produce.

5. धन्यवादबलि खमीर मिलाकर चढ़ाओ, और अपने स्वेच्छाबलियों की चर्चा चलाकर उनका प्रचार करो; क्योंकि हे इस्राएलियो, ऐसा करना तुमको भवता है, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

5. Bake some bread with yeast. Burn it as a thank offering. Brag about the offerings you freely give. That is what you Israelites love to do,' announces the Lord and King.

6. मैं ने तुम्हारे सब नगरों में दांत की सफाई करा दी, और तुम्हारे सब स्थानों में रोटी की घटी की है, तौभी तुम मेरी ओर फिरकर न आए, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

6. 'I made sure your stomachs were empty in every city. You did not have enough bread in any of your towns. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,' announces the Lord.

7. और जब कटनी के तीन महीने रह गए, तब मैं ने तुम्हारे लिये वर्षा न की; मैं ने एक नगर में जल बरसाकर दूसरे में न बरसाया; एक खेत में जल बरसा, और दूसरा खेत जिस में न बरसा; वह सूख गया।

7. 'I also held rain back from you. The time to harvest crops was still three months away. I sent rain on one town. But I held it back from another. One field had rain. Another did not. So it dried up.

8. इसलिये दो तीन नगरों के लोग पानी पीने को मारे मारे फिरते हुए एक ही नगर में आए, परन्तु तृप्त न हुए; तौभी तुम मेरी ओर न फिरे, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

8. People wandered from town to town to look for water. But they did not get enough to drink. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,' announces the Lord.

9. मैं ने तुमको लूह और गेरूई से मारा है; और जब तुम्हारी वाटिकाएं और दाख की बारियां, और अंजीर और जलपाई के वृक्ष बहुत हो गए, तब टिडि्डयां उन्हें खा गईं; तौभी तुम मेरी ओर फिरकर न आए, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

9. 'Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards. I sent hot winds to dry them up completely. Locusts ate up your fig and olive trees. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,' announces the Lord.

10. मैं ने तुम्हारे बीच में मि देश की सी मरी फैलाई; मैं ने तुम्हारे घाड़ों को छिनवा कर तुम्हारे जवानों को तलवार से घात करा दिया; और तुम्हारी छावनी की दुर्गन्ध तुम्हारे पास पहुंचाई; तौभी तुम मेरी ओर फिरकर न आए, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

10. 'I sent plagues on you, just as I did on Egypt. I killed your young men with swords. I also let the horses you had captured be killed. I filled your noses with the bad smell of your camps. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,' announces the Lord.

11. मैं ने तुम में से कई एक को ऐसा उलट दिया, जैसे परमेश्वर ने सदोम और अमोरा को उलट दिया था, और तुम आग से निकाली हुई लुकटी के समान ठहरे; तौभी तुम मेरी ओर फिरकर न आए, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

11. 'I destroyed some of you, just as I did Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick that was pulled out of the fire. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,' announces the Lord.

12. इस कारण, हे इस्राएल, मैं तुझ से ऐसा ही करूंगा, और इसलिये कि मैं तुझ में यह काम करने पर हूं, हे इस्राएल, अपने परमेश्वर के साम्हने आने के लिये तैयार हो जा।।

12. 'People of Israel, I will punish you. Because I will do that to you, prepare to meet your God!'

13. देख, पहाड़ों का बनानेवाला और पवन का सिरजनेवाला, और मनुष्य को उसके मन का विचार बतानेवाला और भोर को अन्धकार करनेवाला, और जो पृथ्वी के ऊंचे स्थानों पर चलनेवाला है, उसी का नाम सेनाओं का परमेश्वर यहोवा है।।

13. The Lord forms the mountains. He creates the wind. He makes his thoughts known to human beings. He turns sunrise into darkness. He rules over the highest places on earth. His name is The Lord God Who Rules Over All.
