1. हे इस्राएलियो, यह वचन सुनो जो यहोवा ने तुम्हारे विषय में अर्थात् उस सारे कुल के विषय में कहा है जिस मैं मि देश से लाया हूं:

1. Heare, what the LORDE speaketh vnto you (o ye children of Israel) namely, vnto all ye trybes, who I brought out of Egipte, and sayde:

2. पृथ्वी के सारे कुलों में से मैं ने केवल तुम्हीं पर मन लगाया है, इस कारण मैं तुम्हारे सारे अधर्म के कामों का दण्ड दूंगा।।

2. You only haue I accepted from all the generacions off the earth: therfore will I vyset you in all youre wickednesses.

3. यदि दो मनुष्य परस्पर सहमत न हों, तो क्या वे एक संग चल सकेंगे?

3. Maye twaine walke together excepte they be agreed amonge them selues?

4. क्या सिंह बिना अहेर पाए वन में गरजेंगे? क्या जवान सिंह बिना कुछ पकड़े अपनी मांद में से गुर्राएगा?

4. Doth a lyon roare in the wodde, excepte he haue a pray? Or crieth a lyons whelpe out of his denne, excepte he haue gotten somthige?

5. क्या चिड़िया बिना फन्दा लगाए फंसेगी? क्या बिना कुछ फंसे फन्दा भूमि पर से उचकेगा?

5. Doth a byrde fall in a snare vpo ye earth where no fouler is? Taketh a man his snare vp from the grounde, afore he catche somwhat?

6. क्या किसी नगर में नरसिंगा फूंकने पर लोग न थरथराएंगे? क्या यहोवा के बिना भेजे किसी नगर में कोई विपत्ति पड़ेगी?

6. Crie they out Alarum with the trompet in the cite, and the people not afrayed? Commeth there eny plage in a cite, without it be the LORDES doinge?

7. इसी प्रकार से प्रभु यहोवा अपने दास भविष्यद्वक्ताओं पर अपना मर्म बिना प्रकट किए कुछ भी न करेगा।

7. Now doth the LORDE God no maner of thinge, but he telleth his secrete before vnto his seruauntes ye prophetes.

8. सिंह गरजा; कौन न डरेगा? परमेश्वर यहोवा बोला; कौन भविष्यवाणी न करेगा?

8. When a lyon roareth, who will not be afrayed? Seynge then that the LORDE God himself speaketh, who will not prophecy?

9. अश्दोद के भवन और मि देश के राजभवन पर प्रकार करके कहो, सामरिया के पहाड़ों पर इकट्ठे होकर देखो कि उस में क्या ही बड़ा कोलाहल और उसके बीच क्या ही अन्धेर के काम हो रहे हैं।

9. Preach in the palaces at Asdod, and in the palaces off the londe off Egipte, and saye: gather you together vpon the moutaynes off Samaria, so shall ye se greate murthur and violent oppression amonge them: for why, they regarde not the thinge that is right,

10. यहोवा की यह वाणी है, कि जो लो अपने भवनों में उपद्रव और डकैती का धन बटोर रखते हैं, वे सीधाई से काम करना जानते ही नहीं।

11. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, देश का घेरनेवाला एक शत्रु होगा, और वह तेरा बल तोड़ेगा, और तेरे भवन लूटे जाएंगे।।

11. Therfore, thus sayeth the LORDE God: This londe shalbe troubled and beseged roude aboute, thy strength shalbe plucte from the, and thy palaces robbed.

12. यहोवा यों कहता है, जिस भांति चरवाहा सिंह के मुंह से दो टांगे वा कान का एक टुकड़ा छुड़ाता है, वैसे ही इस्राएली लोग, जो सामरिया में बिछौने के एक कोने वा रेशमी गद्दी पर बैठा करते हैं, वे भी छुड़ाए जाएंगे।।

12. Thus saieth the LORDE: like as an hyrdeman taketh two legges or a pece off an eare out off the Lyons mouth: Euen so the children of Israel (that dwell in Samaria, hauynge their couches in the corner, and their beddes at Damascus) shalbe plucte awaye.

13. सेनाओं के परमेश्वर, प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, देखो, और याकूब के घराने से यह बात चिताकर कहो,

13. Heare, and beare recorde in the house of Iacob (sayeth the LORDE God of hoostes)

14. जिस समय मैं इस्राएल को उसके अपराधों का दण्ड दूंगा, उसी समय मैं बेतेल की वेदियों को भी दण्ड दूंगा, और वेदी के सींग टूटकर भमि पर गिर पड़ेंगे।

14. that when I begynne to vyset the wickednesse of Israel, I will vyset ye aulters at Bethel also: so that the hornes of the aulter shalbe broken of, & fall to the groude.

15. और मैं जाड़े के भवन को और धूपकाल के भवन, दोनों को गिराऊंगा; और हाथीदांत के बने भवन भी नाश होंगे, और बड़े बड़े घर नाश हो जएंगे, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

15. As for the wynter house and sommer house, I will smyte them downe: and the houses of yuery, yee and many other houses shal perish, and be destroyed, sayeth the LORDE.
