1. हे याजकों, यह बात सुनो! हे इस्राएल के घराने, ध्यान देकर सुनो! हे राजा के घराने, तुम भी कान लगाओ! क्योंकि तुम पर न्याय किया जाएगा; क्योंकि तुम मिसपा में फन्दा, और ताबोर पर लगाया हुआ जाल बन गए हो।

1. Hear ye this O priests, and attend, O house of Israel, and ye, House of the King, give ear, for, to you, pertaineth the sentence, for, a snare, have ye been to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.

2. उन बिगड़े हुओं ने घोर हत्या की है, इसलिये मैं उन सभों को ताड़ना दूंगा।।

2. And, a slaughter, have apostates deeply designed, though, I, was a rebuker to them all.

3. मैं एप्रैम का भेद जानता हूं, और इस्राएल की दशा मुझ से छिपी नहीं है; हे एप्रैम, तू ने छिनाला किया, और इस्राएल अशुद्ध हुआ है।

3. I, have known Ephraim, and, Israel, hath not been hidden from me, for, now, hast thou committed unchastity, O Ephraim, Israel, hath made himself impure.

4. उनके काम उन्हें अपने परमेश्वर की ओर फिरने नहीं देते, क्योंकि छिनाला करनेवाली आत्मा उन में रहती है; और वे यहोवा को नहीं जानते हें।।

4. Their doings, will not suffer, them to return unto their God, for, the spirit of unchastity, is within them, and, Yahweh, have they not known.

5. इस्राएल का गर्व उसी के विरूद्ध साक्षी देता है, और इस्राएल और एप्रैम अपने अधर्म के कारण ठोकर खाएंगे, और यहूदा भी उनके संग ठोकर खाएगा।

5. Therefore will the Excellency of Israel, answer, to his face, and, Israel and Ephraim, shall stumble in their iniquity, even Judah with them, hath stumbled.

6. वे अपनी भेड़- बकरियां और गाय- बैल लेकर यहोवा को ढूंढ़ने चलेंगे, परन्तु वह उनको न मिलेगा; क्योंकि वह उन से दूर हो गया है।

6. With their flocks and with their herds, will they go to seek Yahweh, but shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

7. वे व्यभिचार के लड़के जने हैं; इस से उन्हों ने यहोवा का विश्वासघात किया है। इस कारण अब चांद उनका और उनके भागों के नाश का कारण होगा।।

7. With Yahweh, have they dealt treacherously, for, to alien children, have they given birth, now, a new moon, shall devour them, with their portions.

8. गिबा में नरसिंगा, और रामा में तुरहीं फूंको। बेतावेन में ललकार कर कहो; हे बिन्यामीन, अपने पीछे देख!

8. Blow ye a horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah, sound an alarm at Beth-aven, behind thee, O Benjamin!

9. न्याय के दिन में एप्रैम उजाड़ हो जाएगा; जिस बात को होना निश्चय है, मैं ने उसी का सन्देश इस्राएल के सब गोत्रों को दिया है।

9. Ephraim, shall become, a desolation, in the day of rebuke: Throughout the tribes of Israel, have I hide known what is sure.

10. यहूदा के हाकिम उनके समान हुए हैं जो सिवाना बढ़ा लेते हैं; मैं उन पर अपनी जलजलाहट जल की नाईं उण्डेलूंगा।

10. The rulers of Judah have become as they who remove a land-mark. Upon them, will I pour out, like water, my wrath.

11. एप्रैम पर अन्धेर किया गया है, वह मुक मा हार गया है; क्योंकि वह जी लगाकर उस आज्ञा पर चला।

11. Oppressed, is Ephraim, crushed in judgment, because he hath, wilfully, walked after falsehood.

12. इसलिये मैं एप्रैम के लिये कीड़े के समान और यहूदा के घराने के लिये सड़ाहट के समान हूंगा।।

12. But, I, was like a moth, to Ephraim, and like rotten wood to the house of Judah.

13. जब एप्रैम ने अपना रोग, और यहूदा ने अपना घाव देखा, तब एप्रैम अश्शूर के पास गया, और यारेब राजा को कहला भेजा। परन्तु न वह तुम्हें चंगा कर सकता और न तुम्हार घाव अच्छा कर सकता है।

13. When Ephraim, saw, his injury, and Judah his wound, then went Ephraim unto Assyria, and Judah sent unto a hostile king, yet, he, cannot heal you, nor will the wound, remove from you.

14. क्योंकि मैं एप्रैम के लिये सिंह, और यहूदा के घराने के लिये जवान सिंह बनूंगा। मैं आप ही उन्हें फाड़कर ले जाऊंगा; जब मैं उठा ले जाऊंगा, तब मेरे पंजे से कोई न छुड़ा सकेगा।

14. For, I, will be as a lion unto Ephraim, and as a young lion to the house of Judah, I, I, will tear in pieces, and depart, I will carry off, and none be able to rescue.

15. जब तक वे अपने को अपराधी मानकर मेरे दर्शन के खोजी न होंगे तब तक मैं अपने स्थान को लौटूंगा, और जब वे संकट में पड़ेंगे, तब जी लगाकर मुझे ढूंढ़ने लगेंगे।।

15. I will depart, will return unto my place! till what time they acknowledge their guilt, and seek my face, In their trouble, will they make for me diligent search.
