1. इसलिये तुम लोग अपने भाइयों से अम्मी और अपनी बहिनों से रूहामा कहो।।
1 पतरस 2:10

1. 'Nevertheless, the people of Isra'el will number as many as the grains of sand by the sea, which cannot be measured or counted; so that the time will come when, instead of being told, 'You are not my people,' it will be said to them, 'You are the children of the living God.'

2. अपनी माता से विवाद करो, विवाद क्योंकि वह मेरी स्त्री नहीं और न मैं उसका पति हूं। वह अपने मुंह पर से अपने छिनालपन को और छातियों के बीच से व्यभिचारों को अलग करे;

2. Then the people of Y'hudah and the people of Isra'el will be gathered together; they will appoint for themselves one leader; and they will go up out of the land; for that will be a great day, [[the day]] of Yizre'el.

3. हनंी तो मैं उसके वस्त्रा उतारकर उसको जन्म के दिन के समान नंगी कर दूंगा, और उसको मरूस्थल के समान और मरूभूमि सरीखी बनाऊंगा, और उसे प्यास से मार डालूंगा।

3. 'Say to your brothers, '[Ammi] [[My People]]!' and to your sisters, '[Ruchamah] [[Pitied]]!'

4. उसके लड़केबालों पर भी मैं कुछ दया न करूंगा, क्योंकि वे कुकर्म के लड़के हैं।

4. Rebuke your mother, rebuke her; for she isn't my wife, and I'm not her husband. She must remove her whoring from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts.

5. उनकी माता ने छिनाला किया है; जिसके गर्भ में वे पड़े, उस ने लज्जा के योग्य काम किया है। उस ने कहा, मेरे यार जो मुझे रोटी- पानी, ऊन, सन, तेल और मद्य देते हैं, मैं उन्हीं के पीछे चलूंगी।

5. Otherwise, I will strip her naked and place her as she was the day she was born, make her like a desert, place her like a dry land and kill her with thirst.

6. इसलिये देखो, मैं उसके मार्ग को कांटों से घेरूंगा, और ऐसा बाड़ा खड़ा करूंगा कि वह राह न पा सकेगी।

6. I will have no pity on her children, for they are children of whoring-

7. वह अपने यारों के पीछे चलने से भी न पाएगी; और उन्हें ढूंढ़ने से भी न पाएगी। तब वह कहेगी, मैं अपने पहिले पति के पास फिर जाऊंगी, क्योंकि मेरी पहिली दशा इस समय की दशा से अच्छी थी।

7. their mother prostituted herself, she who conceived them behaved shamelessly; she said, 'I will pursue my lovers, who give me my food and water, wool, flax, olive oil and wine.'

8. वह यह नहीं जानती थी, कि अन्न, नया दाखमधु और तेल मैं ही उसे देता था, और उसके लिये वह चान्दी सोना जिसको वे बाल देवता के काम में ले आते हैं, मैं ही बढ़ाता था।

8. Therefore, I will block her way with thorns and put up a hedge so she can't find her paths.

9. इस कारण मैं अन्न की ऋतु में अपने अन्न को, और नये दाखमधु के होने के समय में अपने नये दाखमधु को हर लूंगा; और अपना ऊन और सन भी जिन से वह अपना तन ढांपती है, मैं छीन लूंगा।

9. She will pursue her lovers but not catch them. She will seek them but won't find them. Then she will say, 'I will go and return to my first husband; because things were better for me then than they are now.'

10. अब मैं उसके यारों के साम्हने उसके तन को उघाडूंगा, और मेरे हाथ से कोई उसे छुड़ा न सकेगा।

10. For she doesn't know it was I who gave her the grain, the wine and the oil; I who increased her silver and gold, which they used for Ba'al.

11. और मैं उसके पर्व, नये चांद और विश्रामदिन आदि सब नियत समयों के उत्सवों का अन्त कर दूंगा।

11. So I will take back my grain at harvest-time and my wine in its season; I will snatch away my wool and flax, given to cover her naked body.

12. और मैं उसकी दाखलताओं और अंजीर के वृक्षों को, जिनके विषय वह कहती है कि यह मेरे छिनाले की प्राप्ति है जिसे मेरे यारों ने मुझे दी है, उन्हें ऐसा उजाडूंगा कि वे जंगल से हो जाएंगे, और वन- पशु उन्हें चर डालेंगे।

12. Now I will uncover her shame, while her lovers watch; and no one will save her from me.

13. और वे दिन जिन में वह बाल देवताओं के लिये धूप जलाती, और नत्थ और हार पहिने अपने यारों के पीछे जाती और मुझको भूले रहती थी, उन दिनों का दण्ड मैं उसे दूंगा, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

13. I will end her happiness, her festivals, [Rosh-Hodesh], and [shabbat]s, and all her designated times.

14. इसलिये देखो, मैं उसे मोहित करके जंगल में ले जाऊंगा, और वहंा उस से शान्ति की बातें कहूंगा।

14. I will ravage her vines and fig trees, of which she says, 'These are my wages that my lovers have given me.' But I will turn them into a forest, and wild animals will eat them.

15. और वहीं मैं उसको दाख की बारियां दूंगा, और आकोर की तराई को आशा का द्वार कर दूंगा और वहां वह मुझ से ऐसी बातें कहेगी जैसी अपनी जवानी के दिनों में अर्थात् मि देश से चले आने के समय कहती थी।

15. I will punish her for offering incense on the feast days of the [ba'alim], when she decked herself with her earrings and jewels, pursuing her lovers and forgetting me,' says ADONAI.

16. और यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि उस समय तू मुझे ईशी कहेगी और फिर बाली न कहेगी।

16. 'But now I am going to woo her- I will bring her out to the desert and I will speak to her heart.

17. क्योंकि भविष्य में मैं उसे बाल देवताओं के नाम न लेने दूंग; और न उनके नाम फिर स्मरण में रहेंगे।

17. I will give her her vineyards from there and the Akhor Valley as a gateway to hope. She will respond there as she did when young, as she did when she came up from Egypt.

18. और उस समय मैं उनके लिये वन- पशुओं और आकाश के पक्षियों और भूमि पर के रेंगनेवाले जन्तुओं के साथ वाचा बान्धूंगा, और धनुष और तलवार तोड़कर युद्ध को उनके देश से दूर कर दूंगा; और ऐसा करूंगा कि वे लोग निडर सोया करेंगे।

18. 'On that day,' says ADONAI 'you will call me [Ishi] [[My Husband]]; you will no longer call me [Ba'ali] [[My Master]].

19. और मैं सदा के लिये तुझे अपनी स्त्री करने की प्रतिज्ञा करूंगा, और यह प्रतिज्ञा धर्म, और न्याय, और करूंणा, और दया के साथ करूंगा।

19. For I will remove the names of the [ba'alim] from her mouth; they will never again be mentioned by name.

20. और यह सच्चाई के साथ की जाएगी, और तू यहोवा को जान लेगी।।

20. When that day comes, I will make a covenant for them with the wild animals, the birds in the air and the creeping things of the earth. I will break bow and sword, sweep battle from the land, and make them lie down securely.

21. और यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि उस समय मैं आकाश की सुनकर उसको उत्तर दूंगा, और वह पृथ्वी की सुनकर उसे उत्तर देगा;

21. I will betroth you to me forever; yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in grace and in compassion;

22. और पृथ्वी अन्न, नये दाखमधु, और ताजे तेल की सुनकर उनको उत्तर देगी, और वे यिज्रेल को उत्तर देंगे।

22. I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you will know ADONAI.

23. और मैं अपने लिये उसे देश में बोऊंगा, और लोरूहामा पर दया करूंगा, और लोअम्मी से कहूंगा, तू मेरी प्रजा है, और वह कहेगा, 'हे मेरे परमेश्वर'।।

23. When that day comes, I will answer,' says ADONAI 'I will answer the sky, and it will answer the earth;
