1. यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. THE WORD of the Lord came again to me, saying,

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, सोर के प्रधान से कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है कि तू ने मन में फूलकर यह कहा है, मैं ईश्वर हूँ, मैं समुद्र के बीच परमेश्वर के आसन पर बैठा हूँ, परन्तु, यद्यपि तू अपने आपको परमेश्वर सा दिखाता है, तौभी तू ईश्वर नहीं, मनुष्य ही है।

2. Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: Because your heart is lifted up and you have said and thought, I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas; yet you are only man [weak, feeble, made of earth] and not God, though you imagine yourself to be almost more than mortal with your mind as the mind of God;

3. तू दानिरयेल से अधिक बुद्धिमान तो है; कोई भेद तुझ से छिपा न होगा;

3. Indeed, you are [imagining yourself] wiser than Daniel; there is no secret [you think] that is hidden from you;

4. तू ने अपनी बुद्धि और समझ के द्वारा धन प्राप्त किया, और अपने भण्डारों में सोना- चान्दी रखा है;

4. With your own wisdom and with your own understanding you have gotten you riches and power and have brought gold and silver into your treasuries;

5. तू ने बड़ी बुद्धि से लेन- देन किया जिस से तेरा धन बढ़ा, और धन के कारण तेरा मन फूल उठा है।

5. By your great wisdom and by your traffic you have increased your riches and power, and your heart is proud and lifted up because of your wealth;

6. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, तू जो अपना मन परमेश्वर सा दिखाता है,

6. Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have imagined your mind as the mind of God [having thoughts and purposes suitable only to God Himself], [Obad. 3.]

7. इसलिये देख, मैं तुझ पर ऐसे परदेशियों से चढ़ाई कराऊंगा, जो सब जातियों से अधिक बलात्कारी हैं; वे अपनी तलवारें तेरी बुद्धि की शोभा पर चलाएंगे और तेरी चमक- दमक को बिगाड़ेंगे।

7. Behold therefore, I am bringing strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom [O Tyre], and they shall defile your splendor.

8. वे तुझे कबर में उतारेंगे, और तू समुद्र के बीच के मारे हुओं की रीति पर मर जाएगा।

8. They shall bring you down to the pit [of destruction] and you shall die the [many] deaths of all the Tyrians that are slain in the heart of the seas.

9. तब, क्या तू अपने घात करनेवाले के साम्हने कहता रहेगा कि तू परमेश्वर है? तूू अपने घायल करनेवाले के हाथ में ईश्वर नहीं, मनुष्य ही ठहरेगा।

9. Will you still say, I am a god, before him who slays you? But you are only a man [made of earth] and no god in the hand of him who wounds and profanes you.

10. तू परदेशियों के हाथ से खतनाहीन लोगों की नाई मारा जाएगा; क्योंकि मैं ही ने ऐसा कहा है, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यह वाणी है।

10. You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers, for I have spoken it, says the Lord God.

11. फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

11. Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

12. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, सोर के राजा के विषय में विलाप का गीत बनाकर उस से कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, तू तो उत्तम से भी उत्तम है; तू बुद्धि से भरपूर और सर्वांग सुन्दर है।

12. Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: You are the full measure and pattern of exactness [giving the finishing touch to all that constitutes completeness], full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

13. तू परमेश्वर की एदेन नाम बारी में था; तेरे पास आभूषण, माणिक, पद्मराग, हीरा, फीरोज़ा, सुलैमानी मणि, यशब, तीलमणि, मरकद, और लाल सब भांति के मणि और सोने के पहिरावे थे; तेरे डफ और बांसुलियां तुझी में बनाई गई थीं; जिस दिन तू सिरजा गया था; उस दिन वे भी तैयार की गई थीं।

You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the carnelian, topaz, jasper, chrysolite, beryl, onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and your settings and your sockets and engravings were wrought in gold. On the day that you were created they were prepared. [Gen. 3:14, 15; Isa. 14:12-15; Matt. 16:23.]

14. तू छानेवाला अभिषिक्त करूब था, मैं ने तुझे ऐसा ठहराया कि तू परमेश्वर के पवित्रा पर्वत पर रहता था; तू आग सरीखे चमकनेवाले मणियों के बीच चलता फिरता था।

14. You were the anointed cherub that covers with overshadowing [wings], and I set you so. You were upon the holy mountain of God; you walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire [like the paved work of gleaming sapphire stone upon which the God of Israel walked on Mount Sinai]. [Exod. 24:10.]

15. जिस दिन से तू सिरजा गया, और जिस दिन तक तुझ में कुटिलता न पाई गई, उस समय तक तू अपनी सारी चालचलन में निदष रहा।

15. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity and guilt were found in you.

16. परन्तु लेन- देन की बहुतायत के कारण तू उपद्रव से भरकर पापी हो गया; इसी से मैं ने तुझे अपवित्रा जानकर परमेश्वर के पर्वत पर से उतारा, और हे छानेवाले करूब मैं ने तुझे आग सरीखे चमकनेवाले मण्यिों के बीच से नाश किया है।

16. Through the abundance of your commerce you were filled with lawlessness and violence, and you sinned; therefore I cast you out as a profane thing from the mountain of God and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire.

17. सुन्दरता के कारण तेरा मन फूल उठा था; और विभव के कारण तेरी बुद्धि बिगड़ गई थी। मैं ने तुझे भूमि पर पटक दिया; और राजाओं के साम्हने तुझे रखा कि वे तुझ को देखें।

17. Your heart was proud and lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I lay you before kings, that they might gaze at you.

18. तेरे अधर्म के कामो की बहुतायत से और तेरे लेन- देन की कुटिलता से तेरे पवित्रास्थान अपवित्रा हो गए; सो मैं ने तुझ में से ऐसी आग उत्पन्न की जिस से तू भस्म हुआ, और मैं ने तुझे सब देखनेवालों के साम्हने भूमि पर भस्म कर डाला है।

18. You have profaned your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities and the enormity of your guilt, by the unrighteousness of your trade. Therefore I have brought forth a fire from your midst; it has consumed you, and I have reduced you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who looked at you.

19. देश देश के लोगों में से जितने तुझे जानते हैं सब तेरे कारण विस्मित हुए; तू भय का कारण हुआ है और फिर कभी पाया न जाएगा।

19. All who know you among the people are astonished and appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and shall never return to being. [Isa. 23; Joel 3:4-8; Amos 1:9, 10; Zech. 9:3, 4.]

20. यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

20. Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

21. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, अपना मुख सीदोन की ओर करके उसके विरूद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी कर,

21. Son of man, set your face toward Sidon and prophesy against her.

22. और कह, प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, हे सीदोन, मैं तेरे विरूद्ध हूँ; मैं तेरे बीच अपनी महिमा कराऊंगा। जब मैं उसके बीच दण्ड दूंगा और उस में अपने को पवित्रा ठहराऊंगा, तब लोग जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

22. And say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, and I will show forth My glory and be glorified in the midst of you. And they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord when I execute judgments and punishments in her, and am set apart and separated and My holiness is manifested in her.

23. मैं उस में मरी फैलाऊंगा, और उसकी सड़कों में लोहू बहाऊंगा; और उसके चारों ओर तलवार चलेगी; तब उसके बीच घायल लोग गिरेंगे, और वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

23. For I will send pestilence into her and blood into her streets, and the wounded shall be judged and fall by the sword in the midst of her on every side, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].

24. और इस्राएल के घराने के चारों ओर की जितनी जातियां उनके साथ अभिमान का बर्ताव करती हैं, उन में से कोई उनका चुभनेवाला काँटा वा बेधनेवाला शूल फिर न ठहरेगी; तब वे जान लेंगी कि मैं परमेश्वर यहोवा हूँ।

24. And there shall be no more a brier to prick the house of Israel or a hurting thorn of all those around them who have treated them with contempt, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord God [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].

25. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, जब में इस्राएल के घराने को उन सब लोगों में से इकट्ठा करूंगा, जिनके बीच वे तितर- बितर हुए हैं, और देश देश के लोगों के साम्हने उनके द्वारा पवित्रा ठहरूंगा, तब वे उस देश में वास करेंगे जो मैं ने अपने दास याकूब को दिया था।

25. Thus says the Lord God: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and I shall be set apart and separated and My holiness made apparent in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob.

26. वे उस में निडर बसे रहेंगे; वे घर बनाकर और दाख की बारियां लगाकर निडर रहेंगे; तब मैं उनके चारों ओर के सब लोगों को दण्ड दूंगा जो उन से अभिमान का बर्ताव करते हैं, तब वे जान लेंगे कि उनका परमेश्वर यहोवा ही है।

26. And they shall dwell safely in it and shall build houses and plant vineyards; yes, they shall dwell securely and with confidence when I have executed judgments and punishments upon all those round about them who have despised and trodden upon them and pushed them away, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord their God [their Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].
