1. ग्सारहवें वर्ष के पहीले महीने के पहिले दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहंचा,

1. And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, सोर ने जो यरूशलेम के विष्य में कहा है, अहा, अहा। जो देश देश के लोगों के फाटक के समान थी, वह नाश होगई।

2. Son of man, Because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem. Aha! She is broken that was the doors of the peoples. She is turned unto me, I shall be fled, She is laid waste,

3. उसके उजड़ जाने से मैं भरपूर हो जाऊंगा ! इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा कहता है, हे सोर, देख, मैं तेरे पिरूद्ध हूँ; और ऐसा करूंगा कि बहुत सी जातियां तेरे विरूद्ध ऐसी उठेंगी जैसे समुद्र की लहरें उठती हैं।

3. Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee O Tyre, So then I will bring up against thee many nations, As the sea bringeth up its rolling waves;

4. और वे सोर की शहरपनाह को गिराएंगी, और उसके गुम्मटों को तोड़ डालेंगी; और मैं उस पर से उसकी मिट्टी खुरचकर उसे नंगी चट्टान कर दूंगा।

4. And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre. And break down her towers, And I will scrape clean her dust from off her, And make of her the glaring face of a cliff:

5. वह समुद्र के बीच का जाल फैलाने ही का स्थान हो जएगा; क्योंकि परमेश्वर यहोवा की यह वाणी है; और वह जाति जाति से लुट जाएगा;

5. A place for the spreading of nets, shall she become, in the midst of the sea, For, I, have spoken Declareth My Lord. Yahweh, And she shall become a prey to the nations.

6. और उसकी जो बेटियां मैदान में हैं, वे तलवार से मारी जाएंगी। तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

6. And her daughters that are in the field: with the sword shall be slain: ho shall they know that I am Yahweh.

7. क्योंकि परमेश्वर यहोवा यह कहता है, देख, मैं सोर के विरूद्ध राजाधिराज बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर को घेड़ों, रथों, सवारों, बड़ी भीड़, और दल समेत उत्तर दिशा से ले आऊंगा।

7. For thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! bringing against Tyre. Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon out of the North. a king of kings, with horses and with chariots and with horsemen, and a gathered host, and much people.

8. और तेरी जो बेटियां मैदान में हों, उनको वह तलवार से मारेगा, और तेरे विरूद्ध कोट बनाएगा और दमदमा बान्धेगा; और ढाल उठाएगा।

8. Thy daughters in the field with the sword, shall he slay, And shall set against thee a siege-wall And cast up against thee an earthwork, And set up against thee a large shield;

9. और वह तेरी शहरपनाह के विरूद्ध युद्ध के यन्त्रा चलाएगा और तेरे गुम्मटों को फरसों से ढा देगा।

9. And the stroke of his attacking-engine, will he direct against thy walls, And thy tower., will he break down with his axes.

10. उसके घोड़े इतने होंगे, कि तू उनकी धूलि से ढंप जाएगा, और जब वह तेरे फाटकों में ऐसे घुसेगा जैसे लोग नाकेवाले नगर में घुसते हैं, तब तेरी शहरपनाह सवारों, छकड़ों, और रथों के शब्द से कांप उठेगी।

10. By reason of the multitude of his horses, their dust shall cover thee, At the noise of horseman and wheel and chariot, shall thy walls tremble, when he entereth into thy gates Just as they do who enter a city broken open.

11. वह अपने घेड़ों की टापों से तेरी सब सड़कों को रौन्द डालेगा, और तेरे निवासियों को तलवार से मार डालेगा, और तेरे बल के खंभे भूमि पर बिराए जाएंगे।

11. With the hoofs of his horses, shall he tread down all thy streets, Thy people-with the sword, shall he slay, And thy pillars of strength to the earth, shall go down.

12. और लोग तेरा धन लूटेंगे और तेरे व्योपार की वस्तुएं छीन लेंगे; वे तेरी शहरपनाह ढा देंगे और तेरे मनभाऊ घर तोड़ डालेंगे; तेरे पत्थर और काठ, और तेरी धूलि वे जल में फेंक देंगे।

12. And they shall spoil thy wealth And make a prey of thy merchandise, And break down thy walls And thy pleasant houses, shall they lay in ruins; And thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters, shall they lay.

13. और मैं तेरे गीतों का सुरताल बन्द करूंगा, और तेरी वीणाओं की ध्वनि फिर सुनाई न देगी।

13. And I will cause to cease the hum of thy songs; And the sound of thy lyres, shall not be heard any more.

14. मैं तुझे नंगी चट्टान कर दूंगा; तू जाल फैलाने ही का स्थान हो जाएगा; और फिर बसाया न जाएगा; क्योंकि मुझ यहोवा ही ने यह कहा है, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यह वाणी है।

14. And I will make of thee the glaring face of a cliff. A place for the spreading of nets, shalt thou become, Thou shalt not be but any more, For I. Yahweh have spoken it, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

15. परमेश्वर यहोवा सोर से यों कहता है, तेरे गिरने के शब्द से जब घायल लोग कराहेंगे और तुझ में घात ही घात होगा, तब क्या टापू न कांप उठेंगे?

15. Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, to Tyre: Shall it not be that. At the sound of thy fall. With the groan of thy pierced one. With the slaughter made in thy midst, The Coastlands shall tremble?

16. तब समुद्रतीर के सब प्रधान लोग अपने अपने सिंहासन पर से उतरेंगे, और अपने बागे़ और बूटेदार वस्त्रा उतारकर थरथराहट के वस्त्रा पहिनेंगे और भूमि पर बैठकर क्षण क्षण में कांपेंगे; और तेरे कारण विस्मित रहेंगे।

16. Then shall come down from off their thrones all the princes of the sea, And shall lay aside their robes. And their embroidered garments, shall strip off, With tremblings, shall they clothe them. selves Upon the ground, shall they sit, And shall tremble every moment and be astonished over thee.

17. और वे तेरे विषय में विलाप का गीत बनाकर तुझ से कहेंगे, हाय ! मल्लाहों की बसाई हुई हाय ! सराही हुई नगरी जो समुद्र के बीच निवासियों समेत सामथ रही और सब टिकनेवालों की डरानेवाली नगरी थी, तू कैसी नाश हुई है?

17. Then shall they take up over thee a dirge, And say to thee, How hast thou perished, And ceased from the seas, The city renowned which was strong in the sea She and they who dwelt in her, Who imparted their terror To all who dwelt in her.

18. तेरे गिरने के दिन टापू कांप उठेंगे, और तेरे जाते रहने के कारण समुद्र से सब टापू घबरा जाएंगे।

18. Now, shall tremble the Coastlands, In the day of thy fall, And shall shudder the isles that are in the sea. At thine exit!

19. क्योंकि परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, जब मैं तुझे निर्जन नगरों के समान उजाड़ करूंगा और तेरे ऊपर महासागर चढ़ाऊंगा, और तू गहिरे जल में डूब जाएगा,

19. For thus saith My Lord Yahweh, When I make thee a desolate city, Like cities which cannot be dwelt in, When I bring up over thee the roaring deep, And the mighty waters cover thee,

20. तब गड़हे में और गिरनेवालों के संग मैं तुझे भी प्राचीन लोगों में उतार दूंगा; और गड़हे में और गिरनेवालों के संग तुझे भी नीचे के लोक में रखकर प्राचीनकाल के उजड़े हुए स्थानों के समान कर दूंगा; यहां तक कि तू फिर न बसेगा और न जीवन के लोक में कोई स्थान पाएगा।

20. Then will I bring thee down with them that go down into the pit. Unto the people of age-past times And cause thee to dwell in the earth below Among the desolations from age-past times With them that go down into the pit That thou mayest not be dwelt in, Nor yet present thyself in the land of the living.

21. मैं तुझे घबराने का कारण करूंगा, और तू भविष्य में फिर न रहेगा, वरन ढूंढ़ने पर भी तेरा पता न लगेगा, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

21. A terror, will I make thee And thou shalt not be: Though thou be sought for, Thou shalt not be found any more To times age-abiding, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
