1. देखो, एक राजा धर्म से राज्य करेगा, और राजकुमा न्याय से हुकूमत करेंगे।

1. Behold, a King shall reigne in iustice, and the princes shall rule in iudgement.

2. हर एक मानो आंधी से छिपने का स्थान, और बौछार से आड़ होगा; या निर्जल देश में जल के झरनेे, व तप्त भूमि में बड़ी चट्टान की छाया।

2. And that man shall bee as an hiding place from the winde, and as a refuge for the tempest: as riuers of water in a drie place, and as the shadowe of a great rocke in a weary land.

3. उस समय देखनेवालों की आंखें धुंधली न होंगी, और सुननेवालों के कान लगे रहेंगे।

3. The eyes of the seeing shall not be shut, and the eares of them that heare, shall hearken.

4. उतावलों के मन ज्ञान की बातें समझेंगे, और तुतलानेवालों की जीभ फुर्ती से और साफ बोलेगी।

4. And the heart of the foolish shall vnderstand knowledge, and the tongue of the stutters shalbe ready to speake distinctly.

5. मूढ़ फिर उदार न कहलाएगा और न कंजूस दानी कहा जाएगा।

5. A nigard shall no more be called liberall, nor the churle riche.

6. क्योंकि मूढ़ तो मूढ़ता ही की बातें बोलता और मन में अनर्थ ही गढ़ता रहता है कि वह बिन भक्ति के काम करे और यहोवा के विरूद्ध झूठ कहे, भूखे को भूखा ही रहने दे और प्यासे का जल रोक रखे।

6. But the nigarde will speake of nigardnesse, and his heart will worke iniquitie, and do wickedly, and speake falsely against the Lord, to make emptie the hungrie soule, and to cause the drinke of the thirstie to faile.

7. छली की चालें बुरी होती हैं, वह दुष्ट युक्तियां निकालता है कि दरिद्र को भी झूठी बातों में लूटे जब कि वे ठीक और नम्रता से भी बोलते हों।

7. For the weapons of the churle are wicked: hee deuiseth wicked counsels, to vndoe the poore with lying words: and to speake against the poore in iudgement.

8. परन्तु उदार मनुष्य उदारता ही की युक्तियां निकालता है, वह उदारता में स्थिर भी रहेगा।।

8. But the liberall man will deuise of liberall things, and he will continue his liberalitie.

9. हे सुखी स्त्रियों, उठकर मेरी सुनो; हे निश्चिन्त पुत्रियों, मेरे वचन की ओर कान लगाओ।

9. Rise vp, ye women that are at ease: heare my voyce, ye carelesse daughters: hearken to my wordes.

10. हे निश्चिन्त स्त्रियों, वर्ष भर से कुछ ही अधिक समय में तुम विकल हो जाओगी; क्योंकि तोड़ने को दाखें न होंगी और न किसी भांति के फल हाथ लगेंगे।

10. Yee women, that are carelesse, shall be in feare aboue a yeere in dayes: for the vintage shall faile, and the gatherings shall come no more.

11. हे सुखी स्त्रियों, थरथराओ, हे निश्चिन्त स्त्रियों, विकल हो; अपने अपने वस्त्रा उतारकर अपनी अपनी कमर में टाट कसो।

11. Yee women, that are at ease, be astonied: feare, O yee carelesse women: put off the clothes: make bare, and girde sackcloth vpon the loynes.

12. वे मनभाऊ खेतों और फलवन्त दाखलताओं के लिये छाती पीटेंगी।

12. Men shall lament for the teates, euen for the pleasant fieldes, and for the fruitefull vine.

13. मेरे लागों के वरन प्रसन्न नगर के सब हर्ष भरे घरों में भी भांति भांति के कटीले पेड़ उपजेंगे।

13. Vpon the lande of my people shall growe thornes and briers: yea, vpon all the houses of ioye in the citie of reioysing,

14. क्योंकि राजभवन त्यागा जाएगा, कोलाहल से भरा नगर सुनसान हो जाएगा और पहाड़ी और उन पर के पहरूओं के घर सदा के लिये मांदे और जंगली गदहों को विहारस्थान और घरैलू पशुओं की चराई उस समय तक बने रहेंगे

14. Because the palace shalbe forsaken, and the noise of the citie shalbe left: the towre and fortresse shalbe dennes for euer, and the delite of wilde asses, and a pasture for flockes,

15. जब तक आत्मा ऊपर से हम पर उण्डेला न जाए, और जंगल फलदायक बारी न बने, और फलदायक बारी फिर वन न गिनी जाए।

15. Vntill the Spirit be powred vpon vs from aboue, and the wildernes become a fruitfull fielde, and the plenteous fielde be counted as a forest.

16. तब उस जंगल में न्याय बसेगा, और उस फलदायक बारी में धर्म रहेगा।

16. And iudgement shall dwel in the desert, and iustice shall remaine in the fruitfull fielde.

17. और धर्म का फल शांति और उसका परिणाम सदा का चैन और निश्चिन्त रहना होगा।

17. And the worke of iustice shall bee peace, euen the worke of iustice and quietnesse, and assurance for euer.

18. मेरे लोग शान्ति के स्थानों में निश्चिन्त रहेंगे, और विश्राम के स्थानों में सुख से रहेंगे।

18. And my people shall dwell in the tabernacle of peace, and in sure dwellings, and in safe resting places.

19. और वन के विनाश के समय ओले गिरेंगे, और नगर पूरी रीति से चौपट हो जाएगा।

19. When it haileth, it shall fall on the forest, and the citie shall be set in the lowe place.

20. क्या ही धन्य हो तुम जो सब जलाशयों के पास बीच बोते, और बैलों और गदहों को स्वतन्त्राता से चराते हो।।

20. Blessed are ye that sowe vpon all waters, and driue thither the feete of the oxe and the asse.
