1. फिर यहोवा ने मि देश में मूसा और हारून से कहा,
मत्ती 26:2

1. Then spake Yahweh, unto Moses and unto Aaron, in the land of Egypt saying

2. कि यह महीना तुम लोगों के लिये आरम्भ का ठहरे; अर्थात् वर्ष का पहिला महीना यही ठहरे।

2. This month, is, to you, a beginning of months, the first, it is, to you, of the months of the year.

3. इस्राएल की सारी मण्डली से इस प्रकार कहो, कि इसी महीने के दसवें दिन को तुम अपने अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार, घराने पीछे एक एक मेम्ना ले रखो।
1 कुरिन्थियों 5:8

3. Speak ye unto all the assembly of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month, then let them take to them, each man a lamb for his ancestral household, a lamb for a household.

4. और यदि किसी के घराने में एक मेम्ने के खाने के लिये मनुष्य कम हों, तो वह अपने सब से निकट रहनेवाले पड़ोसी के साथ प्राणियों की गिनती के अनुसार एक मेम्ना ले रखे; और तुम हर एक के खाने के अनुसार मेम्ने का हिसाब करना।

4. But if the household be too small for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour that is near unto his house take one, according to the number of souls, each man according to his eating, shall ye number for the lamb.

5. तुम्हारा मेम्ना निर्दौष और पहिले वर्ष का नर हो, और उसे चाहे भेड़ों में से लेना चाहे बकरियों में से।

5. A lamb without defect a male a year old, shall yours be, from the sheep or from the goats, shall ye take it.

6. और इस महीने के चौदहवें दिन तक उसे रख छोड़ना, और उस दिन गोधूलि के समय इस्राएल की सारी मण्डली के लोग उसे बलि करें।
मरकुस 14:12, लूका 22:7

6. So shall it be yours, to keep, until the fourteenth day of this month, then shall all the convocation of the assembly of Israel slay it between the two evenings.

7. तब वे उसके लोहू में से कुछ लेकर जिन घरों में मेम्ने को खाएंगे उनके द्वार के दोनों अलंगों और चौखट के सिरे पर लगाएं।

7. And they shall take of the blood, and put upon the two door-posts and upon the upper-beam, upon the houses wherein they are to eat it.

8. और वे उसके मांस को उसी रात आग में भूंजकर अखमीरी रोटी और कड़वे सागपात के साथ खाएं।
लूका 22:8

8. Then shall they eat the flesh, in the same night, roast with fire, and with unleavened cakes, with bitter herbs, shall they eat it.

9. उसको सिर, पैर, और अतड़ियों समेत आग में भूंजकर खाना, कच्चा वा जल में कुछ भी पकाकर न खाना।

9. Do not eat of it underdone, nor cooked by boiling in water, but roast with fire, its head with it, legs, and with its inward parts.

10. और उस में से कुछ बिहान तक न रहने देना, और यदि कुछ बिहान तक रह भी जाए, तो उसे आग में जला देना।

10. And ye shall let nothing thereof remain until morning, but that which is left remaining until morning, in the fire shall ye consume.

11. और उसके खाने की यह विधि है; कि कमर बान्धे, पांव में जूती पहिने, और हाथ में लाठी लिए हुए उसे फुर्ती से खाना; वह तो यहोवा का पर्ब्ब होगा।

11. And, thus, shall ye eat it, your loins, girded, your sandals, on your feet, and, your staff, in your hand, so shall ye eat it in haste, it is Yahweh's, passing over.

12. क्योंकि उस रात को मैं मि देश के बीच में से होकर जाऊंगा, और मि देश के क्या मनुष्य क्या पशु, सब के पहिलौठों को मारूंगा; और मि के सारे देवताओं को भी मैं दण्ड दूंगा; मैं तो यहोवा हूं।

12. I will pass along, therefore, throughout the land of Egypt this night, and will smite every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man even to beast, and against all the gods of Egypt, will I execute judgments I, Yahweh.

13. और जिन घरों में तुम रहोगे उन पर वह लोहू तुम्हारे निमित्त चिन्ह ठहरेगा; अर्थात् मैं उस लोहू को देखकर तुम को छोड़ जाऊंगा, और जब मैं मि देश के लोगों को मारूंगा, तब वह विपत्ति तुम पर न पड़ेगी और तुम नाश न होगे।

13. Then shall the blood serve you for a sign, on the houses wherein ye are, then will I behold the blood, and will pass over you, and there shall be among you no plague to destroy, when I smite the laud of Egypt.

14. और वह दिन तुम को स्मरण दिलानेवाला ठहरेगा, और तुम उसको यहोवा के लिये पर्ब्ब करके मानना; वह दिन तुम्हारी पीढ़ियों में सदा की विधि जानकर पर्ब्ब माना जाए।
लूका 22:7, मत्ती 26:17

14. So shall this day serve you for a memorial, and ye shall celebrate it, as a festival to Yahweh, to your generations as an age-abiding statute, shall ye celebrate it.

15. सात दिन तक अखमीरी रोटी खाया करना, उन में से पहिले ही दिन अपने अपने घर में से खमीर उठा डालना, वरन जो पहिले दिन से लेकर सातवें दिन तक कोई खमीरी वस्तु खाए, वह प्राणी इस्राएलियों में से नाश किया जाए।
मरकुस 14:12, लूका 22:7

15. Seven days, unleavened cakes, shall ye eat, surely, on the first day, shall ye put away leaven, out of your houses, for whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of Israel, from the first day, unto the seventh day.

16. और पहिले दिन एक पवित्रा सभा, और सातवें दिन भी एक पवित्रा सभा करना; उन दोनों दिनों मे कोई काम न किया जाए; केवल जिस प्राणी का जो खाना हो उसके काम करने की आज्ञा है।
लूका 23:56

16. Both on the first day, a holy convocation, and on the seventh day a holy convocation, shall there be to you, no work, shall be done therein, save only what must be eaten by every soul, that alone, shall be done by you.

17. इसलिये तुम बिना खमीर की रोटी का पर्ब्ब मानना, क्योंकि उसी दिन मानो मैं ने तुम को दल दल करके मि देश से निकाला है; इस कारण वह दिन तुम्हारी पीढ़ियों में सदा की विधि जानकर माना जाए।

17. So then ye shall observe the unleavened cakes, because on this self-same day, brought I forth your hosts out of the land of Egypt, so then ye shall observe this day to your generations, as a statute age-abiding,

18. पहिले महीने के चौदहवें दिन की सांझ से लेकर इक्कीसवें दिन की सांझ तक तुम अखमीरी रोटी खाया करना।

18. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, shall ye eat unleavened cakes, until the one-and-twentieth day of the month in the evening,

19. सात दिन तक तुम्हारे घरों में कुछ भी खमीर न रहे, वरन जो कोई किसी खमीरी वस्तु को खाए, चाहे वह देशी हो चाहे परदेशी, वह प्राणी इस्राएलियों की मण्डली से नाश किया जाए।

19. For seven days, leaven, shall not be found in your houses, for, whosoever eateth what is leavened, then shall that soul be cut off out of the assembly of Israel, whether sojourner or native of the land.

20. कोई खमीरी वस्तु न खाना; अपने सब घरों में बिना खमीर की रोटी खाया करना।।

20. Nothing leavened, shall ye eat, in all your dwellings, shall ye eat unleavened cakes.

21. तब मूसा ने इस्राएल के सब पुरनियों को बुलाकर कहा, तुम अपने अपने कुल के अनुसार एक एक मेम्ना अलग कर रखो, और फसह का पशु बलि करना।

21. So then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Proceed and take for yourselves one of the flock according to your families, and slay the passover.

22. और उसका लोहू जो तसले में होगा उस में जूफा का एक गुच्छा डुबाकर उसी तसले में के लोहू से द्वार के चौखट के सिरे और दोनों अलंगों पर कुछ लगाना; और भोर तक तुम में से कोई घर से बाहर न निकले।

22. Then shall ye take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and strike the upper beam and the two door-posts, with the blood which is in the basin, and, ye, shall not go forth any man out of the entrance of his house, until morning,

23. क्योंकि यहोवा देश के बीच होकर मिस्त्रियों को मारता जाएगा; इसलिये जहां जहां वह चौखट के सिरे, और दोनों अलंगों पर उस लोहू को देखेगा, वहां वहां वह उस द्वार को छोड़ जाएगा, और नाश करनेवाले को तुम्हारे घरों में मारने के लिये न जाने देगा।

23. And Yahweh will pass along to plague the Egyptians, and when he beholdeth the blood upon the upper beam and upon the two door-pests, then will Yahweh pass over the entrance, and not suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to inflict on you the plague.

24. फिर तुम इस विधि को अपने और अपने वंश के लिये सदा की विधि जानकर माना करो।
लूका 2:41

24. And ye shall observe this thing, for a statute to thee and to thy sons unto times age-abiding.

25. जब तुम उस देश में जिसे यहोवा अपने कहने के अनुसार तुम को देगा प्रवेश करो, तब वह काम किया करना।

25. And so it shall come to pass when ye shall enter into the land which Yahweh will give you as he hath spoken, and ye shall observe this service;

26. और जब तुम्हारे लड़केबाले तुम से पूछें, कि इस काम से तुम्हारा क्या मतलब है ?

26. and it shall come to pass that your sons shall say unto you, What is this your service?

27. तब तुम उनको यह उत्तर देना, कि यहोवा ने जो मिस्त्रियों के मारने के समय मि में रहने वाले हम इस्राएलियों के घरों को छोड़कर हमारे घरों को बचाया, इसी कारण उसके फसह का यह बलिदान किया जाता है। तब लोगों ने सिर झुकाकर दण्डवत् की।

27. Then shall ye say A passover sacrifice, it is to Yahweh, who passed-over the houses of the sons of Israel, in Egypt, when he plagued the Egyptians but our houses, he delivered. Then did the people bend their heads and bow themselves down.

28. और इस्राएलियों ने जाकर, जो आज्ञा यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून को दी थी, उसी के अनुसार किया।।

28. And the sons of Israel went their way and did, as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.

29. और ऐसा हुआ कि आधी रात को यहोवा ने मि देश में सिंहासन पर विराजनेवाले फिरौन से लेकर गड़हे में पड़े हुए बन्धुए तक सब के पहिलौठों को, वरन पशुओं तक के सब पहिलौठों को मार डाला।

29. And it came to pass, at midnight, that Yahweh, smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat upon his throne, unto the firstborn of the captive who was in the pit of his prison, and every firstborn of beasts.

30. और फिरौन रात ही को उठ बैठा, और उसके सब कर्मचारी, वरन सारे मिद्दी उठे; और मि में बड़ा हाहाकार मचा, क्योंकि एक भी ऐसा घर न था जिसमें कोई मरा न हो।

30. Then rose up Pharaoh by night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians, and there arose a great outcry throughout Egypt, for there was not a house, where there was not one dead.

31. तब फिरौन ने रात ही रात में मूसा और हारून को बुलवाकर कहा, तुम इस्राएलियों समेत मेरी प्रजा के बीच से निकल जाओ; और अपने कहने के अनुसार जाकर यहोवा की उपासना करो।

31. So he called for Moses and for Aaron by night and said Rise ye, go forth out of the midst of my people, both ye and the sons of Israel, and go serve Yahweh according to your word;

32. अपने कहने के अनुसार अपनी भेड़- बकरियों और गाय- बैलों को साथ ले जाओ; और मुझे आशीर्वाद दे जाओ।

32. also, your flocks and your herds, take ye, as ye spake and go your way, so shall ye bless, even me.

33. और मिद्दी जो कहते थे, कि हम तो सब मर मिटे हैं, उन्हों ने इस्राएली लोगों पर दबाव डालकर कहा, कि देश से झटपट निकल जाओ।

33. And the Egyptians became urgent with the people, to send them in haste out of the land, for they said We all, are dying.

34. तब उन्हों ने अपने गून्धे गुन्धाए आटे को बिना खमीर दिए ही कठौतियों समेत कपड़ों में बान्धके अपने अपने कन्धे पर डाल लिया।

34. So the people took up their dough, ere yet it was leavened, with their kneading-bowls, bound up in their mantles on their shoulders,

35. और इस्राएलियों ने मूसा के कहने के अनुसार मिस्त्रियों से सोने चांदी के गहने और वस्त्रा मांग लिये।

35. And the sons of Israel, did according to the word of Moses, and asked of the Egyptians, articles of silver and articles of gold and mantles.

36. और यहोवा ने मिस्त्रियों को अपनी प्रजा के लोगों पर ऐसा दयालु किया, कि उन्हों ने जो जो मांगा वह सब उनको दिया। इस प्रकार इस्राएलियों ने मिस्त्रियों को लूट लिया।।

36. And Yahweh, gave the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians and they gave them gladly, so they spoiled the Egyptians.

37. तब इस्राएली रामसेस से कूच करके सुक्कोत को चले, और बालबच्चों को छोड़ वे कोई छ: लाख पुरूष प्यादे थे।

37. Then did the sons of Israel break up from Rameses, towards Succoth, about six hundred thousand foot of men grown, besides little ones.

38. और उनके साथ मिली जुली हुई एक भीड़ गई, और भेड़- बकरी, गाय- बैल, बहुत से पशु भी साथ गए।

38. Moreover also, a mixed multitude, came up with them, flocks also, and herds, exceeding much cattle,

39. और जो गून्धा आटा वे मि से साथ ले गए उसकी उन्हों ने बिना खमीर दिए रोटियां बनाई; क्योंकि वे मि से ऐसे बरबस निकाले गए, कि उन्हें अवसर भी न मिला की मार्ग में खाने के लिये कुछ पका सकें, इसी कारण वह गून्धा हुआ आटा बिना खमीर का था।

39. Then baked they the dough which they had brought out of Egypt into round unleavened cakes for it had not been leavened, for they had been driven out of Egypt and could not tarry, and indeed no provisions, had they made ready for themselves.

40. मि में बसे हुए इस्राएलियों को चार सौ तीस वर्ष बीत गए थे।
गलातियों 3:17

40. Now, the time during which the sons of Israel dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

41. और उन चार सौ तीस वर्षों के बीतने पर, ठीक उसी दिन, यहोवा की सारी सेना मि देश से निकल गई।

41. And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, yea it came to pass, on this self-same day, that all the hosts of Yahweh had come forth out of the land of Egypt.

42. यहोवा इस्राएलियों को मि देश से निकाल लाया, इस कारण वह रात उसके निमित्त मानने के अति योग्य है; यह यहोवा की वही रात है जिसका पीढ़ी पीढ़ी में मानना इस्राएलियों के लिये अति अवश्य है।।

42. A night of solemn observances, it is unto Yahweh, for bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt, this same night, pertaineth to Yahweh, for solemn observances by all the sons of Israel to their generations.

43. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा, पर्ब्ब की विधि यह है; कि कोई परदेशी उस में से न खाए;

43. And Yahweh said unto Moses and Aaron: This, is the statute of the passover, No stranger, shall eat thereof;

44. पर जो किसी का मोल लिया हुआ दास हो, और तुम लोगों ने उसका खतना किया हो, वह तो उस में से खा सकेगा।

44. but, every man's servant bought with silver, when thou hast circumcised him, then, shall he eat thereof:

45. पर परदेशी और मजदूर उस में से न खाएं।

45. An alien or a hireling, shall not eat thereof.

46. उसका खाना एक ही घर में हो; अर्थात् तुम उसके मांस में से कुछ घर से बाहर न ले जाना; और बलिपशु की कोई हड्डी न तोड़ना।
यूहन्ना 19:36

46. In one house, shall it be eaten, thou shalt not take forth out of the house any of the flesh outside; and a, bone thereof, shalt thou not break.

47. पर्ब्ब को मानना इस्राएल की सारी मण्डली का कर्तव्य कर्म है।

47. All the assembly of Israel, shall keep it.

48. और यदि कोई परदेशी तुम लोगों के संग रहकर यहोवा के लिये पर्ब्ब को मानना चाहे, तो वह अपने यहां के सब पुरूषों का खतना कराए, तब वह समीप आकर उसको माने; और वह देशी मनुष्य के तुल्य ठहरेगा। पर कोई खतनारहित पुरूष उस में से न खाने पाए।

48. And when there may sojourn with thee a sojourner who may wish to keep a passover to Yahweh, there must be circumcised to him every male and then, may he draw near to keep it, so shall he be as a native of the land, but no uncircumcised male, shall eat thereof.

49. उसकी व्यवस्था देशी और तुम्हारे बीच में रहनेवाले परदेशी दोनों के लिये एक ही हो।

49. One law, shall there be for the native, and for the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst.

50. यह आज्ञा जो यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून को दी उसके अनुसार सारे इस्राएलियों ने किया।

50. Thus did all the sons of Israel, as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.

51. और ठीक उसी दिन यहोवा इस्राएलियों को मि देश से दल दल करके निकाल ले गया।।

51. And it came to pass, on this self-same day, that Yahweh brought forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts.
