1. O God, the heathen have come into Thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled, they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

2. उन्हों ने तेरे दासों की लोथों को आकाश के पक्षियों का आहार कर दिया, और तेरे भक्तों का मांस वनपशुओें को खिला दिया है।

2. The dead bodies of Thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heavens, the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

3. Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them.

6. Pour out Thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known Thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon Thy name;

7. क्योंकि उन्हों ने याकूब को निगल लिया, और उसके वासस्थान को उजाड़ दिया है।

7. for they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling place.

8. हमारी हानि के लिये हमारे पुरखाओं के अधर्म के कामों को स्मरण न कर; तेरी दया हम पर शीघ्र हो, क्योंकि हम बड़ी दुर्दशा में पड़े हैं।

8. O remember not former iniquities against us; let Thy tender mercies go speedily before us, for we are brought very low.

9. हे हमारे उठ्ठारकर्त्ता परमेश्वर, अपने नाम की महिमा के निमित हमारी सहायता कर; और अपने नाम के निमित हम को छुड़ाकर हमारे पापों को ढांप दे।

9. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name; and deliver us and purge away our sins, for Thy name's sake.

10. अनयजातियां क्यों कहने पाएं कि उनका परमेश्वर कहां रहा? अन्यजातियों के बीच तेरे दासों के खून का पलटा लेना हमारे देखते उन्हें मालूम हो जाए।।

10. Why should the heathen say, 'Where is their God?' Let Him be known among the heathen in our sight by the avenging of the blood of Thy servants which is shed.

11. बन्धुओं का कराहना तेरे कान तक पहुंचे; घात होनेवालों को अपने भुजबल के द्वारा बचा।

11. Let the sighing of the prisoner come before Thee; according to the greatness of Thy power, preserve Thou those that are appointed to die.

12. और हे प्रभु, हमारे पड़ोसियों ने जो तेरी निन्दा की है, उसका सातगुणा बदला उनको दे!

12. And render unto the bosom of our neighbors sevenfold their reproach wherewith they have reproached Thee, O Lord.

13. तब हम जो तेरी प्रजा और तेरी चराई की भेड़ें हैं, तेरा धन्यवाद सदा करते रहेंगे; और पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक तेरा गुणानुवाद करते रहेंगें।।

13. So we Thy people and the sheep of Thy pasture, will give Thee thanks for ever; we will show forth Thy praise to all generations.
