1. [A psalm of Asaph.] God, the nations have invaded Your inheritance, desecrated Your holy temple, and turned Jerusalem into ruins.

6. Pour out Your wrath on the nations that don't acknowledge You, on the kingdoms that don't call on Your name,

7. for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his homeland.

8. हमारी हानि के लिये हमारे पुरखाओं के अधर्म के कामों को स्मरण न कर; तेरी दया हम पर शीघ्र हो, क्योंकि हम बड़ी दुर्दशा में पड़े हैं।

8. Do not hold past sins against us; let Your compassion come to us quickly, for we have become weak.

9. हे हमारे उठ्ठारकर्त्ता परमेश्वर, अपने नाम की महिमा के निमित हमारी सहायता कर; और अपने नाम के निमित हम को छुड़ाकर हमारे पापों को ढांप दे।

9. God of our salvation, help us-- for the glory of Your name. Deliver us and atone for our sins, because of Your name.

10. Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?' Before our eyes, let vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants be known among the nations.

11. बन्धुओं का कराहना तेरे कान तक पहुंचे; घात होनेवालों को अपने भुजबल के द्वारा बचा।

11. Let the groans of the prisoners reach You; according to Your great power, preserve those condemned to die.

12. और हे प्रभु, हमारे पड़ोसियों ने जो तेरी निन्दा की है, उसका सातगुणा बदला उनको दे!

12. Pay back sevenfold to our neighbors the reproach they have hurled at You, Lord.

13. तब हम जो तेरी प्रजा और तेरी चराई की भेड़ें हैं, तेरा धन्यवाद सदा करते रहेंगे; और पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक तेरा गुणानुवाद करते रहेंगें।।

13. Then we, Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever; we will declare Your praise to generation after generation.
