1. हे परमेश्वर हम ने अपने कानों से सुना, हमारे बापदादों ने हम से वर्णन किया है, कि तू ने उनके दिनों में और प्राचीनकाल में क्या क्या काम किए हैं।

1. To the Chanter, an instruction of the sons of Korah We have heard with our ears, (O God) our fathers have told us, what thou hast done in their time of old.

2. तू ने अपने हाथ से जातियों को निकाल दिया, और इनको बसाया; तू ने देश देश के लोगों को दु:ख दिया, और इनको चारों ओर फैला दिया;

2. How thou hast driven out the Heathen with thy hand, and planted them in: how thou hast destroyed the nations and cast them out.

3. क्योंकि वे न तो अपनी तलवार के बल से इस देश के अधिकारी हुए, और न अपने बाहुबल से; परन्तु तेरे दहिने हाथ और तेरी भुजा और तेरे प्रसन्न मुख के कारण जयवन्त हुए; क्योंकि तू उनको चाहता था।।

3. For they gat not the land in possession thorow their own sword, neither was it their own arm that helped them. But thy right hand, thine arm and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

4. हे परमेश्वर, तू ही हमारा महाराजा है, तू याकूब के उद्धार की आज्ञा देता है।

4. Thou art the King and my God, thou sendest help unto Jacob.

5. तेरे सहारे से हम अपने द्रोहियों को ढकेलकर गिरा देंगे; तेरे नाम के प्रताप से हम अपने विरोधियों को रौंदेंगे।

5. Thorow thee, will we overthrow our enemies: and in thy name will we tread them under, that rise up against us.

6. क्योंकि मैं अपने धनुष पर भरोसा न रखूंगा, और न अपनी तलवार के बल से बचूगा।

6. For I will not trust in my bow, it is not my sword that shall help me.

7. परन्तु तू ही ने हम को द्रोहियों से बचाया है, और हमारे बैरियों को निराश और लज्जित किया है।

7. But it is thou that savest us from our enemies, and puttest them to confusion that hate us.

8. हम परमेश्वर की बड़ाई दिन भर करते रहते हैं, और सदैव तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करते रहेंगे।।

8. We will alway make our boast of God, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

9. तौभी तू ने अब हम को त्याग दिया और हमारा अनादर किया है, और हमारे दलों के साथ आगे नहीं जाता।

9. But now thou forsakest us, and puttest us to confusion, and goest not forth with our Hosts.

10. तू हम को शत्रु के साम्हने से हटा देता है, और हमारे बैरी मनमाने लूट मार करते हैं।

10. Thou makest us to turn our backs upon our enemies, so that they which hate us, spoil our goods.

11. तू ने हमें कसाई की भेडों के समान कर दिया है, और हम को अन्य जातियों में तित्तर बित्तर किया है।

11. Thou lettest us be eaten up like sheep, and scatterest us among the Heathen.

12. तू अपनी प्रजा को सेंतमेंत बेच डालता है, परन्तु उनके मोल से तू धनी नहीं होता।।

12. Thou sellest thy people for naught, and takest no money for them.

13. तू हमारे पड़ोसियों से हमारी नामधराई कराता है, और हमारे चारों ओर से रहनेवाले हम से हंसी ठट्ठा करते हैं।

13. Thou makest us to be rebuked of our neighbours, to be laughed to scorn and had in derision, of them that are round about us.

14. तू हम को अन्यजातियों के बीच में उपमा ठहराता है, और देश देश के लेग हमारे कारण सिर हिलाते हैं। दिन भर हमें तिरस्कार सहना पड़ता है,

14. Thou hast made(makest) us, a very byword among the Heathen, and that the people shake their heads at us.

15. और कलंक लगाने और निन्दा करनेवाले के बोल से,

15. My confusion is daily before me, and the shame of my face covereth me.

16. और शत्रु और बदला लेनेवालों के कारण, बुरा- भला कहनेवालों और निन्दा करनेवालों के कारण।

16. For the voice of the slanderer(sclaunderer) and blasphemer, for the enemy and avenger.

17. यह सब कुछ हम पर बीता तौभी हम तुझे नहीं भूले, न तेरी वाचा के विषय विश्वासघात किया है।

17. All this is come upon us, and yet have we not forgotten thee, nor behaved our selves unfaithfully in thy covenant.

18. हमारे मन न बहके, न हमारे पैर तरी बाट से मुड़े;

18. Our heart is not turned back, neither our steps gone out of thy way.

19. तौभी तू ने हमें गीदड़ों के स्थान में पीस डाला, और हम को घोर अन्धकार में छिपा दिया है।।

19. For thou hast smitten us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.(That thou smytest us so in the place of the serpet, & coverest us with ye shadowe of death.)

20. यदि हम अपने परमेश्वर का नाम भूल जाते, वा किसी पराए देवता की ओर अपने हाथ फैलाते,

20. If we had forgotten the name of our God, and hold up our hands to any strange God.

21. तो क्या परमेश्वर इसका विचार न करता? क्योंकि वह तो मन की गुप्त बातों को जानता है।

21. Should not God find it out? for he knoweth the very secrets of the heart.

22. परन्तु हम दिन भर तेरे निमित्त मार डाले जाते हैं, और उन भेड़ों के समान समझे जाते हैं जो वध होने पर हैं।।
रोमियों 8:36

22. But for thy sake we are killed all the day long, and are counted as sheep appointed to be slain.

23. हे प्रभु, जाग! तू क्यों सोता है? उठ! हम को सदा के लिये त्याग न दे!

23. Up Lord,(LORDE) why sleepest thou; Awake, and cast us not off for ever.

24. तू क्यों अपना मुंह छिपा लेता है? और हमारा दु:ख और सताया जाना भूल जाता है?

24. Wherefore hidest thou thy face? wilt thou clean forget our misery and oppression?

25. हमारा प्राण मिट्टी से लग गया; हमारा पेट भूमि से सट गया है।

25. For our soul is brought low even unto the dust, and our belly cleaveth unto the ground.

26. हमारी सहायता के लिये उठ खड़ा हो! और अपनी करूणा के निमित्त हम को छुड़ा ले।।

26. Arise O Lord,(LORDE) help us, and deliver us for thy mercy sake.
