1. कुकर्मियों के कारण मत कुढ़, कुटिल काम करनेवालों के विषय डाह न कर!

1. A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself at the ungodly, be not thou envious against the evil doers.

2. क्योंकि वे घास की नाई झट कट जाएंगे, और हरी घास की नाई मुर्झा जाएंगे।

2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and be withered even as the green herb.

3. यहोवा पर भरोसा रख, और भला कर; देश में बसा रह, और सच्चाई में मन लगाए रह।

3. Put thou thy trust in the LORD, and be doing good: so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily it shall feed thee.

4. यहोवा को अपने सुख का मूल जान, और वह तेरे मनोरथों को मूरा करेगा।।
मत्ती 6:33

4. Delight thou in the LORD, and he shall give thee thy heart's desire.

5. अपने मार्ग की चिन्ता यहोवा पर छोड़; और उस पर भरोसा रख, वही पूरा करेगा।

5. Commit thy way unto the LORD, set thy hope in him, and he shall bring it to pass.

6. और वह तेरा धर्म ज्योति की नाई, और तेरा न्याय दोपहर के उजियाले की नाई प्रगट करेगा।।

6. Yea He shall make thy righteousness as clear as the light, and thy just dealing as the noonday.

7. यहोवा के साम्हने चुपचाप रह, और धीरज से उसका आस्त्रा रख; उस मनुष्य के कारण न कुढ़, जिसके काम सुफल होते हैं, और वह कुरी युक्तियों को निकालता है!

7. Hold thee still in the LORD, and abide patiently upon him: but grieve not thyself at one that hath prosperity, and liveth in abomination.

8. क्रोध से परे रह, और जलजलाहट को छोड़ दे! मत कुढ़, उस से बुराई ही निकलेगी।

8. Leave off from wrath, let go displeasure, let not thy jealousy move thee also to do evil.

9. क्योंकि कुकर्मी लोग काट डाले जाएंगे; और जो यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं, वही पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे।

9. For wicked doers shall be rooted out, but they that patiently abide the LORD, shall inherit(enherit) the land.

10. थोड़े दिन के बीतने पर दुष्ट रहेगा ही नहीं; और तू उसके स्थान को भलीं भांति देखने पर भी उसको न पाएगा।

10. Suffer yet a little while, and the ungodly shall be clean gone: thou shalt look after his place, and he shall be away.

11. परन्तु नम्र लोग पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, और बड़ी शान्ति के कारण आनन्द मनाएंगे।
मत्ती 5:5

11. But the meek spirited shall possess the earth, and have pleasure in much rest.

12. दुष्ट धर्मी के विरूद्ध बुरी युक्ति निकालता है, और उस पर दांत पीसता है;
प्रेरितों के काम 7:54

12. The ungodly layeth wait for the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13. परन्तु प्रभु उस पर हंसेगा, क्योंकि वह देखता है कि उसका दिन आनेवाला है।।

13. But the Lord(LORDE) laugheth him to scorn, for he seeth that his day is coming.

14. दुष्ट लोग तलवार खींचे और धनुष बढ़ाए हुए हैं, ताकि दीन दरिद्र को गिरा दें, और सीधी चाल चलनेवालों को वध करें।

14. The ungodly draw out the sword and bend their bow, to cast down the simple and poor, and to slay such as go the right way.

15. उनकी तलवारों से उन्हीं के हृदय छिदेंगे, और उनके धनुष तोड़े जाएंगे।।

15. Nevertheless, their sword shall go thorow their own heart, and their bow shall be broken.

16. धर्मी को थोड़ा से माल दुष्टों के बहुत से धन से उत्तम है।

16. A small thing that the righteous hath, is better than the great riches of the ungodly.

17. क्योंकि दुष्टों की भुजाएं तो तोड़ी जाएंगी; परन्तु यहोवा धर्मियों को सम्भालता है।।

17. For the arms of the ungodly shall be broken, but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18. यहोवा खरे लोगों की आयु की सुधि रखता है, और उनका भाग सदैव बना रहेगा।

18. The LORD knoweth the days of the godly, and their inheritance endureth for ever.

19. विपत्ति के समय, उनकी आशा न टूटेगी और न वे लज्जित होंगे, और अकाल के दिनों में वे तृप्त रहेंगे।।

19. They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, and in the days of dearth they shall have enough.

20. दुष्ट लोग नाश हो जाएंगे; और यहोवा के शत्रु खेत की सुथरी घास की नाई नाश होंगे, वे धूएं की नाई बिलाय जाएंगे।।

20. As for the ungodly, they shall perish: and when the enemies of the LORD are in their flourish,(flouris, flurries) they shall consume, yea even as the smoke shall they consume away.

21. दुष्ट ऋण लेता है, और भरता नहीं परनतु धर्मीं अनुग्रह करके दान देता है;

21. The ungodly borroweth, and payeth not again, but the righteous is merciful and liberal.

22. क्योंकि जो उस से आशीष पाते हैं वे तो पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, परन्तु जो उस से शापित होते हैं, वे नाश को जाएंगे।।

22. Such as be blessed of him, shall possess the land: and they whom he curseth, shall be rooted out.

23. मनुष्य की गति यहोवा की ओर से दृढ़ होती है, और उसके चलन से वह प्रसन्न रहता है;

23. The LORD ordereth a good man's going, and hath pleasure in his way.

24. चाहे वह गिरे तौभी पड़ा न रह जाएगा, क्योंकि यहोवा उसका हाथ थांभे रहता है।।

24. Though he fall, he shall not be hurt, for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25. मैं लड़कपन से लेकर बुढ़ापे तक देखता आया हूं; परन्तु न तो कभी धर्मी को त्यागा हुआ, और न उसके वंश को टुकड़े मांगते देखा है।

25. I have been young, and now am old: yet saw I never the righteous forsaken, nor his seed to seek their bread.

26. वह तो दिन भर अनुग्रह कर करके ऋण देता है, और उसके वंश पर आशीष फलती रहती है।।

26. The righteous is ever merciful, and lendeth gently, therefore shall his seed be blessed.

27. बुराई को छोड़ भलाई कर; और तू सर्वदा बना रहेगा।

27. Flee from evil, and do the thing that is good, so shalt thou dwell forever.

28. क्योंकि यहोवा न्याय से प्रीति रखता; और अपने भक्तों को न तजेगा। उनकी तो रक्षा सदा होती है, परन्तु दुष्टों का वंश काट डाला जाएगा।

28. For the LORD loveth the thing that is right, he forsaketh not his saints, but they shall be preserved for evermore: as for the seed of the ungodly, it shall be rooted out.

29. धर्मी लोग पृथ्वी के अधिकारी होंगे, और उस में सदा बसे रहेंगे।।

29. Yea, the righteous shall possess the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30. धर्मी अपने मुंह से बुद्धि की बातें करता, और न्याय का वचन कहता है।

30. The mouth of the righteous is exercised in wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31. उसके परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था उसके हृदय में बनी रहती है, उसके पैर नहीं फिसलते।।

31. The law of his God is in his heart, therefore shall not his footsteps slide.

32. दुष्ट धर्मी की ताक में रहता है। और उसके मार डालने का यत्न करता है।

32. The ungodly seeth the righteous, and goeth about to slay him.

33. यहोवा उसको उसके हाथ में न छोड़ेगा, और जब उसका विचार किया जाए तब वह उसे दोषी न ठहराएगा।।

33. But the LORD will not leave him in his hands, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34. यहोवा की बाट जोहता रह, और उसके मार्ग पर बना रह, और वह तुझे बढ़ाकर पृथ्वी का अधिकारी कर देगा; जब दुष्ट काट डाले जाएंगे, तब तू देखेगा।।

34. Hope thou in the LORD, and keep his way. And he shall so promote thee, that thou shalt have the land by inheritance, and see, when the ungodly shall perish.

35. मैं ने दुष्ट को बड़ा पराक्रमी और ऐसा फैलता हुए देखा, जैसा कोई हरा पेड़ अपने निज भूमि में फैलता है।

35. I myself have seen the ungodly in great power, and flourishing like a green bay tree:

36. परन्तु जब कोई उधर से गया तो देखा कि वह वहां है ही नहीं; और मैं ने भी उसे ढूंढ़ा, परन्तु कहीं न पाया।।

36. but when I went by, lo, he was gone: I sought him, but he could no where be found.

37. खरे मनुष्य पर दृष्टि कर और धर्मी को देख, क्योंकि मेल से रहनेवाले पुरूष का अन्तफल अच्छा है।

37. Keep innocency, and take heed unto the thing that is right, for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

38. परन्तु अपराधी एक साथ सत्यानाश किए जाएंगे; दुष्टों का अन्तफल सर्वनाश है।।

38. As for the transgressors, they shall perish together, and the ungodly shall be rooted out at the last.

39. धर्मियों की मुक्ति यहोवा की ओर से होती है; संकट के समय वह उनका दृढ़ गढ़ है।

39. The help of the righteous cometh of the LORD, he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40. और यहोवा उनकी सहायता करके उनको बचाता है; वह उनको दुष्टों से छुड़ाकर उनका उद्वार करता है, इसलिये कि उन्हों ने उस में अपनी शरण ली है।।

40. The LORD shall stand(stode) by them, and save them: he shall deliver them from the ungodly, and help them, because they put their trust in him.
