1. हे ईश्वर मेरी रक्षा कर, क्योंकि मैं तेरा ही शरणागत हूं।

1. A Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

2. मैं ने परमेश्वर से कहा है, कि तू ही मेरा प्रभु है; तेरे सिवाए मेरी भलाई कहीं नहीं।

2. [O my soul,] you have said to the LORD, 'You [are] my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.'

3. पृथ्वी पर जो पवित्रा लोग हैं, वे ही आदर के योग्य हैं, और उन्हीं से मैं प्रसन्न हूं।

3. As for the saints who [are] on the earth, 'They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.'

4. जो पराए देवता के पीछे भागते हैं उनका दु:ख बढ़ जाएगा; मैं उनके लोहूवाले तपावन नहीं तपाऊंगा और उनका नाम अपने ओठों से नहीं लूंगा।।

4. Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten [after] another [god;] Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.

5. यहोवा मेरा भाग और मेरे कटोरे का हिस्सा है; मेरे बांट को तू स्थिर रखता है।

5. O LORD,[You are] the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.

6. मेरे लिये माप की डोरी मनभावने स्थान में पड़ी, और मेरा भाग मनभावना है।।

6. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant [places;] Yes, I have a good inheritance.

7. मैं यहोवा को धन्य कहता हूं, क्योंकि उस ने मुझे सम्मत्ति दी है; वरन मेरा मन भी रात में मुझे शिक्षा देता है।

7. I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.

8. मैं ने यहोवा को निरन्तर अपने सम्मुख रखा है : इसलिये कि वह मेरे दहिने हाथ रहता है मैं कभी न डगमगाऊंगा।।

8. I have set the LORD always before me; Because [He is] at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9. इस कारण मेरा हृदय आनन्दित और मेरी आत्मा मगन हुई; मेरा शरीर भी चैन से रहेगा।

9. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

10. क्योंकि तू मेरे प्राण को अधोलोक में न छोड़ेगा, न अपने पवित्रा भक्त को सड़ने देगा।।

10. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

11. तू मुझे जीवन का रास्ता दिखाएगा; तेरे निकट आनन्द की भरपूरी है, तेरे दहिने हाथ में सुख सर्वदा बना रहता है।।

11. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence [is] fullness of joy; At Your right hand [are] pleasures forevermore.
