1. जब हिजकिरयाह राज्य करने लगा तब वह पचीस वर्ष का था, और उनतीस वर्ष तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा। और उसकी माता का ताम अबिरयाह था, जो जकर्याह की बेटी थी।

1. And, Hezekiah, began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and, twenty-nine years, reigned he in Jerusalem, and, the name of his mother, was Abijah, daughter of Zechariah.

2. जैसे उसके मूलपुरूष दाऊद ने किया था अर्थात् जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था वैसा ही उस ने भी किया।

2. And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that, David his father, had done.

3. अपने राज्य के पहिले वर्ष के पहिले महीने में उस ने यहोवा के भवन के द्वार खुलवा दिए, और उनकी मरम्मत भी कराई।

3. He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of Yahweh, and repaired them.

4. तब उस ने याजकों और लेवियों को ले आकर पूर्व के चौक में इकट्ठा किया।

4. And he brought in the priests, and the Levites, and gathered them together in the broadway on the east;

5. और उन से कहने लगा, हे लेवियो मेरी सुनो ! अब अपने अपने को पवित्रा करो, और अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा के भवन को पवित्रा करो, और पवित्रास्थान में से मैल निकालो।

5. and said unto them, Hear me, O Levites! Now, hallow yourselves, and hallow the house of Yahweh, God of your fathers, and take forth the impure thing out of the holy place.

6. देखो हमारे पुरखाओं ने विश्वासघात करके वह कर्म किया था, जो हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा है और उसको तज करके यहोवा के निवास से मुंह फेरकर उसको पीठ दिखाई थी।

6. For our fathers have acted unfaithfully and done the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned round their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and have offered their backs.

7. फिर उन्हों ने ओसारे के द्वार बन्द किए, और दीपकों को बुझा दिया था; और पवित्रा स्थान में इस्राएल के परमेश्वर के लिये न तो धूप जलाया और न होमबलि चढ़ाया था।

7. Moreover they have shut up the doors of the porch, and have quenched the lamps, and, incense, have they not burned, and, ascending-sacrifice, have they not caused to go up in the holy place, unto the God of Israel.

8. इसलिये यहोवा का क्रोध यहूदा और यरूशलेम पर भड़का है, और उस ने ऐसा किया, कि वे मारे मारे फिरें और चकित होने और ताली बजाने का कारण हो जाएं, जैसे कि तुम अपनी आंखों से देख रहे हो।

8. Thus hath it come to pass, that, the wrath of Yahweh, hath been upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them up as a terror and as an astonishment and as hissing, even as, ye, can see with your own eyes.

9. देखो, अस कारण हमारे बाप तलवार से मारे गए, और हमारे बेटे- बेटियां और स्त्रियां बन्धुआई में चली गई हैं।

9. And lo! our fathers have fallen by the sword, and, our sons and our daughters and our wives, are in captivity for this.

10. अब मेरे मन ने यह निर्णय किया है कि इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा से वाचा बान्धूं, इसलिये कि उसका भड़का हुआ क्रोध हम पर से दूर हो जाए।

10. Now, is it near my heart, to solemnise a covenant unto Yahweh, God of Israel, that he may turn from him the glow of his anger.

11. हे मेरे बेटो, ढिलाई न करो देखो, यहोवा ने अपने सम्मुख खड़े रहने, और अपनी सेवा टहल करने, और अपने टहलुए और धूप जलानेवाले का काम करने के लिये तुम्हीं को चुन लिया है।

11. My sons! now, do not be faulty, for, of you, hath Yahweh made choice, to stand before him, and to wait upon him, and to be his attendants and burners of incense.

12. तब लेवीय उठ खड़े हुए, अर्थात् कहातियों में से अमासै का पुत्रा महत, और अजर्याह का पुत्रा योएल, और मरारियों में से अब्दी का पुत्रा कीश, और यहल्लेलेल का पुत्रा अजर्याह, और गेश नियों में से जिम्मा का पुत्रा योआह, और योआह का पुत्रा एदेन।

12. Then arose the Levites Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites, and, of the sons of Merari, Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehallelel, and, of the Gershonites, Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;

13. और एलीसापान की सन्तान में से शिम्री, और यूएल और आसाप की सन्तान में से जकर्याह और मत्तन्याह।

13. and, of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel, and, of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah, and Mattaniah;

14. और हेमान की सन्तान में से यहूएल और शिमी, और यदूतून की सन्तान में से शमायाह और उज्जीएल।

14. and, of the sons of Heman, Jehiel and Shimei, and, of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah, and Uzziel;

15. इन्हों ने अपने भाइयों को इकट्ठा किया और अपने अपने को पवित्रा करके राजा की उस आज्ञा के अनुसार जो उस ने यहोवा से वचन पाकर दी थी, यहोवा के भवन के शुठ्ठ करने के लिये भीतर गए।

15. and they gathered together their brethren, who hallowed themselves, and came in according to the command of the king, in the things of Yahweh, to purify the house of Yahweh.

16. तब याजक यहोवा के भवन के भीतरी भाग को शुठ्ठ करने के लिये उस में जाकर यहोवा के मन्दिर में जितनी अशुठ्ठ वस्तुएं मिीं उन सब को निकालकर यहोवा के भवन के आंगन में ले गए, और लेवियों ने उन्हें उठाकर बाहर किद्रोन के नाले में पहुंचा दिया।

16. So the priests entered into the inner part of the house of Yahweh, to make purification, and they brought out every unclean thing which they found in the temple of Yahweh, into the court of the house of Yahweh, where the Levites received it, to carry it forth to the Kidron ravine outside.

17. पहिले महीने के पहिले दिन को उन्हों ने पवित्रा करने का काम आरम्भ किया, और उसी महीने के आठवें दिन को वे यहोवा के ओसारे तक आ गए। इस प्रकार उन्हों ने यहोवा के भवन को आठ दिन में पवित्रा किया, और पहिले महीने के सोलहवें दिन को उन्हों ने उस काम को पूरा किया।

17. And they began, on the first of the first month, to hallow, and, on the eighth day of the month, they came to the porch of Yahweh, so they hallowed the house of Yahweh in eight days, and, on the sixteenth day of the first month, they finished.

18. तब उन्हों ने राजा हिजकिरयाह के पास भीतर जाकर कहा, हम यहोवा के पूरे भवन को और पात्रों समेत होमबलि की वेदी और भेंट की रोटी की मेज को भी शुठ्ठ कर चुके।

18. Then came they in unto Hezekiah the king, and said, We have purified all the house of Yahweh, the altar of ascending-sacrifice, and all the utensils thereof, and the table for setting in array, and all the utensils thereof.

19. और जितने पात्रा राजा आहाज ने अपने राज्य में विश्वासघात करके फेंक दिए थे, उनको भी हम ने ठीक करके पवित्रा किया है; और वे यहोवा की वेदी के साम्हने रखे हुए हैं।

19. And, all the utensils which King Ahaz in his reign rejected when he acted unfaithfully, have we made ready and hallowed, and, there they are, before the altar of Yahweh.

20. तब राजा हिजकिरयाह सबेरे उठकर नगर के हाकिमों को इकट्ठा करके, यहोवा के भवन को गया।

20. So Hezekiah the king rose up early, and gathered together the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of Yahweh.

21. तब वे राज्य और पवित्रास्थान और यहूदा के निमित्त सात बछड़े, सात मेढ़े, सात भेड़ के बच्चे, और पापबलि के लिये सात बकरे ले आए, और उस ने हारून की सन्तान के लेवियों को आज्ञा दी कि इन सब को यहोवा की वेदी पर चढ़ाएं।

21. And they brought in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven young sheep, and seven he-goats for bearing sin, for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah, and he bade the sons of Aaron, the priests, cause them to ascend upon the altar of Yahweh.

22. तब उन्हों ने बछड़े बलि किए, और याजकों ने उनका लोहू लेकर वेदी पर छिड़क दिया; तब उन्हों ने मेढ़े बलि किए, और उनका लोहू भी वेदी पर छिड़क दिया। और भेड़ के बच्चे बलि किए, और उनका भी लोहू वेदी पर छिडक दिया।

22. So they slaughtered the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and dashed it against the altar, and they slaughtered the rams, and dashed the blood against the altar, and slaughtered the young sheep, and dashed the blood against the altar.

23. तब वे पापबलि के बकरों को राजा और मण्डली के समीप ले आए और उन पर अपने अपने हाथ रखे।

23. And they brought near the he-goats for bearing sin, before the king, and the convocation, and they leaned their hands upon them;

24. तब याजकों ने उनको बलि करके, उनका लोहू वेदी पर छिड़क कर पापबलि किया, जिस से सारे इस्राएल के लिये प्रायश्चित्त किया जाए। क्योंकि राजा ने सारे इस्राएल के लिये होमबलि और पापबलि किए जाने की आज्ञा दी थी।

24. and the priests slaughtered them, and sin-cleansed, with their blood, the altar, to put a propitiatory-covering over all Israel, because, for all Israel, did the king appoint the ascending-sacrifice and the offering for bearing sin.

25. फिर उस ने दाऊद और राजा के दश गाद, और नातान नबी की आज्ञा के अनुसार जो यहोवा की ओर से उसके नबियों के द्वारा आई थी, झांझ, सारंगियां और वीणाएं लिए हुए लेवियों को यहोवा के भवन में खड़ा किया।

25. And he caused the Levites to stand in the house of Yahweh, with cymbals and with harps and with lyres, by the commandment of David, and of Gad the seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for, by the hand of Yahweh, came the commandment by the hand of his prophets.

26. तब लेवीय दाऊद के चलाए बाजे लिए हुए, और याजक तुरहियां लिए हुए खड़े हुए।

26. So the Levites took their stand, with the instruments of David, and the priests, with the trumpets.

27. तब हिजकिरयाह ने वेदी पर होमबलि चढ़ाने की आज्ञा दी, और जब होमबलि चढ़ने लगी, तब यहोवा का गीत आरम्भ हुआ, और तुरहियां और इस्राएल के राजा दाऊद के बाजे बजने लगे।

27. And Hezekiah gave word, to cause the ascending-sacrifice to go up on the altar, and, when the ascending-sacrifice began, the singing unto Yahweh began, and the trumpets, even under the direction of the instruments of David, king of Israel.

28. और मण्डली के सब लोग दणडवत करते और गानेवाले गाते और तुरही फूंकनेवाले फूंकते रहे; यह सब तब तक होेता रहा, जब तक होमबलि चढ़ न चुकी।

28. And, all the convocation, were bowing themselves in prostration, and, the song, was resounding and the trumpets were blowing, the whole, until the completing of the ascending-sacrifice.

29. और जब बलि चढ़ चुकी, तब राजा और जितने उसके संग वहां थे, उन सभों ने सिर झुकाकर दणडवत किया।

29. And, when the offering was complete, the king knelt down and all who were present with him, and bowed themselves in prostration.

30. और राजा हिजकिरयाह और हाकिमों ने लेवियों को आज्ञा दी, कि दाऊद और आसाप दश के भजन गाकर यहोवा की स्तुति करें। और उन्हों ने आनन्द के साथ स्तुति की और सिर नवाकर दणडवत किया।

30. And Hezekiah the king and the rulers gave word to the Levites, to offer praise unto Yahweh, in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, so they offered praise right joyfully, and bent their heads and bowed themselves in prostration.

31. तब हिजकिरयाह कहने लगा, अब तुम ने यहोवा के निमित्त अपना अर्पण किया है; इसलिये समीप आकर यहोवा के भवन में मेलबलि और धन्यवादबलि पहुंचाओ। तब मण्डली के लोगों ने मेलबलि और धन्यवादबलि पहुंचा दिए, और जितने अपनी इच्छा से देना चाहते थे उन्हों ने भी होमबलि पहुंचाए।

31. Then responded Hezekiah and said Now, have ye consecrated yourselves unto Yahweh. Draw near, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings unto the house of Yahweh, So the convocation brought sacrifices and thank-offerings, and, everyone of a willing heart, brought ascending-sacrifices.

32. जो होमबलि पशु मण्डली के लाग ले आए, उनकी गिनती यह थी; सत्तर बैल, एक सौ मेढ़े, और दो सौ भेड़ के बच्चे; ये सब यहोवा के निमित्त होमबलि के काम में आए।

32. And it came to pass that, the number of ascending-sacrifices which the convocation brought, was seventy bullocks, and a hundred rams, and two hundred young sheep, as an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, all these.

33. और पवित्रा किए हुए पशु, छे सौ बैल और तीन हजार भेड़- बकरियां थी।

33. But, the hallowed beasts, were six hundred bullocks, and three thousand sheep.

34. परन्तु याजक ऐसे थेड़े थे, कि वे सब होमबलि पशुओं की खालें न उतार सके, तब उनके भाई लेवीय उस समय तक उनकी सहायता करते रहे जब तक वह काम निपट न गया, और याजकों ने अपने को पवित्रा न किया; क्योंकि लेवीय अपने को पवित्रा करने के लिये पवित्रा याजकों से अधिक सीधे मन के थे।

34. Only, the priests, were too few, and were unable to flay all the ascending-sacrifices, so their brethren the Levites strengthened them, until the work was complete and until the priests had hallowed themselves, for, the Levites, were more upright in heart to hallow themselves, than the priests.

35. और फिर होमबलि पशु बहुत थे, और मेलबलि पशुओं की चब भी बहुत थी, और एक एक होमबलि के साथ अर्ध भी देना पड़ा। यों यहोवा के भवन में की उपासना ठीक की गई।

35. Moreover also, the ascending-sacrifices, were in abundance, with the fat portions of the peace-offerings, and with the drink-offerings to every ascending-sacrifice, thus was established the service of the house of Yahweh.

36. तब हिजकिरयाह और सारी प्रजा के लोग उस काम के कारण आनन्दित हुए, जो यहोवा ने अपनी प्रजा के लिये तैयार किया था; क्योंकि वह काम एकाएक हो गया था।

36. And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because God had established it for the people, for, suddenly, had the thing come about.
