1. इस्राएल का जेठा तो रूबेन था, परन्तु उस ने जो अपने पिता के बिछौने को अशुद्व किया, इस कारण जेठे का अधिकार इस्राएल के पुत्रा यूसुफ के पुत्रों को दिया गया। वंशावली जेठे के अधिकार के अनुसार नहीं ठहरी।

1. 5. शिमी का मीका, मीका का रायाह, रायाह का बाल।

5. his sone, Mycha; his sone, Rema; his sone, Baal;

6. और बाल का पुत्रा बेरा, इसको अश्शूर का राजा तिलगतपिलनेसेर बन्धुआई में ले गया; और वह रूबेनियो का प्रधान था।

6. his sone, Bera; whom Theglatphalassar, kyng of Assyriens, ledde prisoner; and he was prince in the lynage of Ruben.

7. और उसके भाइयों की चंशवली के लिखते यमय वे अपने अपने कुल के अनुसार ये ठहरे, अर्थात् मुख्य तो यीएल, फिर जकर्याह।

8. और अजाज का पुत्रा बेला जो शेमा का पोता और योएल का परपोता था, वह अरोएर में और नबो और बाल्मोन तक रहता था।

11. गादी उनके साम्हने सल्का तक बाशान देश में रहते थे।

12. अर्थात् मुख्य तो योएल और दूसरा शापाम फिर यानै और शापात, ये बाशान में रहते थे।

13. और उनके भाई अपने अपने पितरों के घरानों के अनुसार मीकाएल, मशुल्लाम, शेबा, योरै, याकान, जी और एबेर, सात थे।

14. ये अबीहैल के पुत्रा थे, जो हूरी का पुत्रा था, यह योराह का पुत्रा, यह गिलाद का पुत्रा, यह मिकाएल का पुत्रा, यह यशीशै का पुत्रा, यह यहदो का पुत्रा, यह बूज का पुत्रा था।

15. इनके पितरों के घरानों का मुख्य पूरूष अब्दीएल का पुत्रा, और गूनी का पोता अही था।

16. ये लोग बाशान में, गिलाद और उसके गांवों में, और शारोन की सब चराइयों में उसकी परली ओर तक रहते थे।

17. इन सभों की वंशावली यहूदा के राजा योनातन के दिनों और इस्राएल के राजा यारोबाम के दिनों में लिखी गई।

18. रूबेनियों, गादियों और मनश्शें के आधे गोत्रा के योठ्ठा जो ढाल बान्धने, तलवार चलाने, और धनुष के तीर छोड़ने के योग्य और युठ्ठ करना सीखे हुए थे, वे चौवालीस हजार सात सौ साठ थे, जो युठ्ठ में जाने के योग्य थे।

18. The sones of Ruben, and of Gad, and of half the lynage of Manasses, weren men werriours, berynge scheeldis and swerdis, and beendynge bouwe, and tauyt to batels, foure and fourti thousynde seuene hundrid and sixti,

19. इन्हों ने हग्रियों और यतूर नापीश और नोदाब से युठ्ठ किया था।

20. उनके विरूद्ध इनको सहायता मिली, और अग्री उन सब समेत जो उनके साथ थे उनके हाथ में कर दिए गए, क्योंकि युठ्ठ में इन्हों ने परमेश्वर की दोहाई दी थी और उस ने उनकी बिनती इस कारण सुनी, कि इन्हों ने उस पर भरोसा रखा था।

20. and Nadab, yauen help to hem; and Agarenus, and alle men that weren with hem, weren bitakun in to the hondis of Ruben, and Gad, and Manasses; for thei clepiden inwardli the Lord, while thei fouyten, and the Lord herde hem, for thei `hadden bileuyd in to him.

21. और इन्हों ने उनके पशु हर लिए, अर्थात् ऊंट तो पचास हजार, भेड़- बकरी अढ़ाई लाख, गदहे दो हजार, और मनुष्य एक लाख बन्धुए करके ले गए।

21. And thei token alle thingis whiche Agarenus hadden in possessioun, fifti thousynde of camels, and twei hundrid and fifty thousynde of scheep, twei thousynde of assis, and an hundrid thousynde persoones of men;

22. और बहुत से मरे पड़े थे क्योंकि वह लड़ाई परमेश्वर की ओर से हुई। और ये उनके स्थान में बन्शुआई के समय तक बसे रहे।

22. for many men weren woundid and felden doun; for it was the batel of the Lord. And thei dwelliden for Agarenus til to the conquest.

23. फिर मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रा की सन्तान उस देश में बसे, और वे बाशान से ले बाल्हेम न, और सनीर और हेम न पर्वत तक फैल गए।

23. Also the sones of the half lynage of Manasses hadden in possessioun the lond, fro the endis of Basan til to Baal Hermon, and Sanyr, and the hil of Hermon; for it was a greet noumbre.

24. और उनके पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य पुरूष ये थे, अर्थात् एपेर, यिशी, एलीएल, अज्रीएल, यिर्मयाह, होदरयाह और यहदीएल, ये बड़े वीर और नामी और अपने पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य पुरूष थे।

24. And these weren the princes of the hows of her kynrede; Epher, and Jesi, and Heliel, and Esryel, and Jeremye, and Odoie, and Jedihel, strongeste men and myyti, and nemyd duykis in her meynees.

25. और उन्हों ने अपने पितरों के परमेश्वर से विश्वासघात किया, और उस देश के लोग जिनको परमेश्वर ने उनके साम्हने से विनाश किया था, उनके देवताओं के पीछे रयभिचारिन की नाई हो लिए।

25. Forsothe thei forsoken the God of her fadris, and diden fornycacioun after the goddis of puplis of the lond, whiche the Lord took awei bifor hem.

26. इसलिये इस्राएल के परमेश्वर ने अश्शूर के राजा पूल और अश्शूर के राजा तिलगत्पिलनेसेर का मन उभारा, और इन्हों ने उन्हें अर्थात् रूबेनियों, गादियों और मनश्शे के आधे गोत्रा के लोगों को बन्धुआ करके हलह, हाबोर और हारा और गोजान नदी के पास पहुंचा दिया; और वे आज के दिन तक वहीं रहते हैं।

26. And the Lord God of Israel reiside the spirit of Phul, kyng of Assiriens, and the spirit of Theglatphalasser, kyng of Assur; and he translatide Ruben, and Gad, and the half lynage of Manasses, and brouyte hem in to Ale, and Abor, and Aram, and in to the ryuer of Gozam, til to this dai.
