1. तब दाऊद कहने लगा, यहोवा परमेश्वर का भवन यही है, और इस्राएल के लिये होमबलि की वेदी यही है।

1. And David saith, 'This is the house of Jehovah God, and this the altar for burnt-offering for Israel.'

2. तब दाऊद ने इस्राएल के देश में जो परदेशी थे उनको इकट्ठा करने की आज्ञा दी, और परमेश्वर का भवन बनाने को पत्थर गढ़ने के लिये राज ठहरा दिए।

2. And David saith to gather the sojourners who [are] in the land of Israel, and appointeth hewers to hew hewn-stones to build a house of God.

3. फिर दाऊद ने फाटकों के किवाड़ों की कीलों और जोड़ों के लिये बहुत सा लोहा, और तौल से बाहर बहुत पीतल,

3. And iron in abundance for nails for leaves of the gates, and for couplings, hath David prepared, and brass in abundance -- there is no weighing.

4. और गिनती से बाहर देवदार के पेड़ इकट्ठे किए; क्योंकि सीदोन और सोर के लोग दाऊद के पास बहुत से देवदार के पेड़ लाए थे।

4. And cedar-trees even without number, for the Zidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar-trees in abundance to David.

5. और दाऊद ने कहा, मेरा पुत्रा सुलैमान सुकुमार और लड़का है, और जो भवन यहोवा के लिये बनाना है, उसे अत्यन्त तेजोमय और सब देशों में प्रसिठ्ठ और शोभायमान होना चाहिये; इसलिये मैं उसके लिये तैयारी करूंगा। सो दाऊद ने मरने से पहिले बहुत तैयारी की।

5. And David saith, 'Solomon my son [is] a youth and tender, and the house to be built to Jehovah [is] to be made exceedingly great, for name and for beauty to all the lands; let me prepare, I pray Thee, for it;' and David prepareth in abundance before his death.

6. फिर उस ने अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान को बुलाकर इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये भवन बनाने की आज्ञा दी।

6. And he calleth for Solomon his son, and chargeth him to build a house to Jehovah, God of Israel,

7. दाऊद ने अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान से कहा, मेरी मनसा तो थी, कि अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के नाम का एक भवन बनाऊं।

7. and David saith to Solomon his son, 'As for me, it hath been with my heart to build a house to the name of Jehovah my God,

8. परन्तु यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा, कि तू ने लोहू बहुत बहाया और बढ़े बड़े युठ्ठ किए हैं, सो तू मेरे नाम का भवन न बनाने पाएगा, क्योंकि तू ने भूमि पर मेरी दृष्टि में बहुत लोहू बहाया है।

8. and the word of Jehovah [is] against me, saying, Blood in abundance thou hast shed, and great wars thou hast made: thou dost not build a house to My name, for much blood thou hast shed to the earth before Me.

9. देख, तुझ से एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न होगा, जो शान्त पुरूष होगा; और मैं उसको चारों ओर के शत्रुऔं से शान्ति दूंगा; उसका नाम तो सुलैमान होगा, और उसके दिनों में मैं इस्राएल को शान्ति और चैन दूंगा।

9. 'Lo, a son is born to thee; he is a man of rest, and I have given rest to him from all his enemies round about, for Solomon is his name, and peace and quietness I give unto Israel in his days;

10. वही मेरे नाम का भवन बनाएगा। और वही मेरा पुत्रा ठहरेगा और मैं उसका पिता ठहरूंगा, और उसकी राजगद्दी को मैं इस्राएल के ऊपर सदा के लिये स्थिर रखूंगा।

10. he doth build a house to My name, and he is to Me for a son, and I [am] to him for a father, and I have established the throne of his kingdom over Israel unto the age.

11. अब हे मेरे पुत्रा, यहोवा तेरे संग रहे, और तू कृतार्थ होकर उस वचन के अनुसार जो तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तेरे विषय कहा है, उसका भवन बनाना।

11. 'Now, my son, Jehovah is with thee, and thou hast prospered, and hast built the house of Jehovah thy God, as He spake concerning thee.

12. अब यहोवा तुझे बुध्दि और समझ दे और इस्राएल का अधिकारी ठहरा दे, और तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की रयवस्था को मानता रहे।

12. Only, Jehovah give to thee wisdom and understanding, and charge thee concerning Israel, even to keep the law of Jehovah thy God;

13. तू तब ही कृतार्थ होगा जब उन विधियों और नियमों पर चलने की चौकसी करेगा, जिनकी आज्ञा यहोवा ने इस्राएल के लिये मूसा को दी थी। हियाब बान्ध और दृढ़ हो। मत डर; और तेरा मन कच्चा न हो।

13. then thou dost prosper, if thou dost observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Jehovah charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.

14. सुन, मैं ने अपने क्लेश के समय यहोवा के भवन के लिये एक लाख किक्कार सोना, और दस लाख किक्कार चान्दी, और पीतल और लोहा इतना इकट्ठा किया है, कि बहुतायत के कारण तौल से बाहर है; और लकड़ी और पत्थर मैं ने इकट्ठे किए हैं, और तू उनको बढ़ा सकेगा।

14. 'And lo, in mine affliction, I have prepared for the house of Jehovah of gold talents a hundred thousand, and of silver a thousand thousand talents; and of brass and of iron there is no weighing, for in abundance it hath been, and wood and stones I have prepared, and to them thou dost add.

15. और तेरे पास बहुत कारीगर हैं, अर्थात् पत्थर और लकड़ी के काटने और गढ़नेवाले वरन सब भांति के काम के लिये सब प्रकार के प्रवीण पुरूष हैं।

15. 'And with thee in abundance [are] workmen, hewers and artificers of stone and of wood, and every skilful man for every work.

16. सोना, चान्दी, पीतल और लोहे की तो कुछ गिनती नहीं है, सो तू उस काम में लग जा ! यहोवा तेरे संग नित रहे।

16. To the gold, to the silver, and to the brass, and to the iron, there is no number; arise and do, and Jehovah is with thee.'

17. फिर दाऊद ने इस्राएल के सब हाकिमों को अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान की सहायता करने की आज्ञाा यह कहकर दी,

17. And David giveth charge to all heads of Israel to give help to Solomon his son,

18. कि क्या तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हारे संग नहीं है? क्या उस ने नुम्हें चारों ओर से विश्राम नहीं दिया? उस ने तो देश के निवासियों को मेरे वश में कर दिया है; और देश यहोवा और उसकी प्रजा के साम्हने दबा हुआ है।

18. 'Is not Jehovah your God with you? yea, He hath given rest to you round about, for He hath given into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and subdued hath been the land before His people.

19. सब तन मन से अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के पास जाया करो, और जी लगाकर यहोवा परमेश्वर का पवित्रास्थान बनाना, कि तुम यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक और परमेश्वर के पवित्रा पात्रा उस भवन में लाओ जो यहोवा के नाम का बननेवाला है।

19. 'Now, give your heart and your soul to seek to Jehovah your God, and rise and build the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring in the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, to the house that is built to the name of Jehovah.'
