1. तब दाऊद कहने लगा, यहोवा परमेश्वर का भवन यही है, और इस्राएल के लिये होमबलि की वेदी यही है।

1. Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt-offering for Yisra'el.

2. तब दाऊद ने इस्राएल के देश में जो परदेशी थे उनको इकट्ठा करने की आज्ञा दी, और परमेश्वर का भवन बनाने को पत्थर गढ़ने के लिये राज ठहरा दिए।

2. David commanded to gather together the foreigners who were in Eretz-Yisra'el; and he set masons to hew worked stones to build the house of God.

3. फिर दाऊद ने फाटकों के किवाड़ों की कीलों और जोड़ों के लिये बहुत सा लोहा, और तौल से बाहर बहुत पीतल,

3. David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and brass in abundance without weight;

4. और गिनती से बाहर देवदार के पेड़ इकट्ठे किए; क्योंकि सीदोन और सोर के लोग दाऊद के पास बहुत से देवदार के पेड़ लाए थे।

4. and cedar trees without number: for the Tzidonim and they of Tzor brought cedar trees in abundance to David.

5. और दाऊद ने कहा, मेरा पुत्रा सुलैमान सुकुमार और लड़का है, और जो भवन यहोवा के लिये बनाना है, उसे अत्यन्त तेजोमय और सब देशों में प्रसिठ्ठ और शोभायमान होना चाहिये; इसलिये मैं उसके लिये तैयारी करूंगा। सो दाऊद ने मरने से पहिले बहुत तैयारी की।

5. David said, Shlomo my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

6. फिर उस ने अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान को बुलाकर इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये भवन बनाने की आज्ञा दी।

6. Then he called for Shlomo his son, and charged him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Yisra'el.

7. दाऊद ने अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान से कहा, मेरी मनसा तो थी, कि अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के नाम का एक भवन बनाऊं।

7. David said to Shlomo his son, As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of the LORD my God.

8. परन्तु यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा, कि तू ने लोहू बहुत बहाया और बढ़े बड़े युठ्ठ किए हैं, सो तू मेरे नाम का भवन न बनाने पाएगा, क्योंकि तू ने भूमि पर मेरी दृष्टि में बहुत लोहू बहाया है।

8. But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars: you shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the eretz in my sight.

9. देख, तुझ से एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न होगा, जो शान्त पुरूष होगा; और मैं उसको चारों ओर के शत्रुऔं से शान्ति दूंगा; उसका नाम तो सुलैमान होगा, और उसके दिनों में मैं इस्राएल को शान्ति और चैन दूंगा।

9. Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Shlomo, and I will give shalom and quietness to Yisra'el in his days:

10. वही मेरे नाम का भवन बनाएगा। और वही मेरा पुत्रा ठहरेगा और मैं उसका पिता ठहरूंगा, और उसकी राजगद्दी को मैं इस्राएल के ऊपर सदा के लिये स्थिर रखूंगा।

10. he shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Yisra'el for ever.

11. अब हे मेरे पुत्रा, यहोवा तेरे संग रहे, और तू कृतार्थ होकर उस वचन के अनुसार जो तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तेरे विषय कहा है, उसका भवन बनाना।

11. Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

12. अब यहोवा तुझे बुध्दि और समझ दे और इस्राएल का अधिकारी ठहरा दे, और तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की रयवस्था को मानता रहे।

12. May the LORD give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Yisra'el; that so you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

13. तू तब ही कृतार्थ होगा जब उन विधियों और नियमों पर चलने की चौकसी करेगा, जिनकी आज्ञा यहोवा ने इस्राएल के लिये मूसा को दी थी। हियाब बान्ध और दृढ़ हो। मत डर; और तेरा मन कच्चा न हो।

13. Then shall you prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which the LORD gave Moshe concerning Yisra'el. Be strong, and of good courage. Don't be afraid, neither be dismayed.

14. सुन, मैं ने अपने क्लेश के समय यहोवा के भवन के लिये एक लाख किक्कार सोना, और दस लाख किक्कार चान्दी, और पीतल और लोहा इतना इकट्ठा किया है, कि बहुतायत के कारण तौल से बाहर है; और लकड़ी और पत्थर मैं ने इकट्ठे किए हैं, और तू उनको बढ़ा सकेगा।

14. Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of the LORD one hundred thousand talents of gold, and one thousand thousand talents of silver, and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and you may add to them.

15. और तेरे पास बहुत कारीगर हैं, अर्थात् पत्थर और लकड़ी के काटने और गढ़नेवाले वरन सब भांति के काम के लिये सब प्रकार के प्रवीण पुरूष हैं।

15. There are also workmen with you in abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work:

16. सोना, चान्दी, पीतल और लोहे की तो कुछ गिनती नहीं है, सो तू उस काम में लग जा ! यहोवा तेरे संग नित रहे।

16. of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and the LORD be with you.

17. फिर दाऊद ने इस्राएल के सब हाकिमों को अपने पुत्रा सुलैमान की सहायता करने की आज्ञाा यह कहकर दी,

17. David also commanded all the princes of Yisra'el to help Shlomo his son, saying,

18. कि क्या तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हारे संग नहीं है? क्या उस ने नुम्हें चारों ओर से विश्राम नहीं दिया? उस ने तो देश के निवासियों को मेरे वश में कर दिया है; और देश यहोवा और उसकी प्रजा के साम्हने दबा हुआ है।

18. Isn't the LORD your God with you? Hasn't he given you rest on every side? for he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.

19. सब तन मन से अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा के पास जाया करो, और जी लगाकर यहोवा परमेश्वर का पवित्रास्थान बनाना, कि तुम यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक और परमेश्वर के पवित्रा पात्रा उस भवन में लाओ जो यहोवा के नाम का बननेवाला है।

19. Now set your heart and your soul to seek after the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
