1. और जिस समय यहोवा ने दाऊद को उसके सब शत्रुओं और शाऊल के हाथ से बचाया था, तब उस ने यहोवा के लिये इस गीत के वचन गाए;

1. And David spoke the words of this song unto the LORD in the day [that] the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies and out of the hand of Saul.

2. उस ने कहा, यहोवा मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा गढ़, मेरा छुड़ानेवाला,

2. And he said, The LORD [is] my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.

3. मेरा चट्टानरूपी परमेश्वर है, जिसका मैं शरणागत हूँ, मेरी ढाल, मेरा बचानेवाला सींग, मेरा ऊंचा गढ़, और मेरा शरणस्थान है, हे मेरे उठ्ठार कर्त्ता, तू उपद्रव से मेरा उठ्ठार किया करता है।

3. God is my Strong One; in him will I trust: [he is] my shield and the horn of my saving health; my defence and my refuge; my saviour, who shall save me from violence.

4. मैं यहोवा को जो स्तुति के योग्य है पुकारूंगा, और अपने शत्रुओं से बचाया जाऊंगा।

4. I will call on the LORD, [who is] worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

5. मृत्यु के तरंगों ने तो मेरे चारों ओर घेरा डाला, नास्तिकपन की धाराओं ने मुझ को घबड़ा दिया था;

5. When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of Belial made me afraid;

6. अधोलोक की रस्सियां मेरे चारों ओर थीं, मृत्यु के फन्दे मेरे साम्हने थे।

6. [when] the cords of Sheol compassed me about; the snares of death came before me;

7. अपने संकट में मैं ने यहोवा को पुकारा; और अपने परमेश्वर के सम्मुख चिल्लाया। औंर उस ने मेरी बात को अपने मन्दिर में से सुन लिया, और मेरी दोहाई उसके कानों में पहुंची।

7. in my distress I called upon the LORD and cried to my God, who heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry [entered] into his ears.

8. तब पृथ्वी हिल गई और डोल उठी; और आकाश की नेवें कांपकर बहुत ही हिल गई, क्योंकि वह अति क्रोधित हुआ था।

8. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the heavens were moved and shook because he was wroth.

9. उसके नथनों से धुंआ निकला, और उसके मुंह से आग निकलकर भस्म करने लगी; जिस से कोयले दहक उठे।

9. Smoke went up from his nostrils, and fire devoured out of his mouth; coals were kindled by it.

10. और वह स्वर्ग को झुकाकर नीचे उतर आया; और उसके पांवों के तले घोर अंधकार छाया था।

10. And he lowered the heavens and came down, and darkness [was] under his feet.

11. और वह करूब पर सवार होकर उड़ा, और पवन के पंखों पर चढ़कर दिखाई दिया।

11. And he rode upon a cherub and flew; and he appeared upon the wings of the wind.

12. और उस ने अपने चारों ओर के अंधियारे को, मेघों के समूह, और आकाश की काली घटाओं को अपना मणडप बनाया।

12. He placed darkness like tabernacles round about him, dark waters [and] thick clouds of the skies.

13. उसके सम्मुख की झलक तो उसके आगे आगे थी, आग के कोयले दहक उठे।

13. From the brightness of his presence, coals of fire were kindled.

14. यहोवा आकाश में से गरजा, और परमप्रधान ने अपनी वाणी सुनाई।

14. The LORD thundered from the heavens, and the most High uttered his voice;

15. उस ने तीर चला चलाकर मेरे शत्रुओं को तितर बितर कर दिया, और बिजली गिरा गिराकर उसको परास्त कर दिया।

15. he sent out arrows and scattered them; he lightninged, and consumed them.

16. तब समुद्र की थाह दिखाई देने लगी, और जगत की नेवें खुल गई, यह तो यहोवा की डांट से, और उसके नथनों की सांस की झोंक से हुआ।

16. Then the springs of the sea appeared and the foundations of the world were uncovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

17. उस ने ऊपर से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थांम लिया, और मुझे गहरे जल में से खींचकर बाहर निकाला।

17. He extended [his hand] from above, he took me; he drew me out of the impetuous waters;

18. उस ने मुझे मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और मेरे बैरियों से, जो मुझ से अधिक सामथ थे, मुझे छुड़ा लिया।

18. he delivered me from strong enemies, from those that hated me, who were stronger than I.

19. उन्हों ने मेरी विपत्ति के दिन मेरा साम्हना तो किया; परन्तु यहोवा मेरा आश्रय था।

19. They came upon me unawares in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay.

20. और उस ने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े़ स्थान में पहुंचाया; उस ने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझ से प्रसन्न था।

20. He brought me forth into a large place; he delivered me, because he had put his will in me.

21. यहोवा ने मुझ से मेरे धर्म के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; मेरे कामों की शुठ्ठता के अनुसार उस ने मुझे बदला दिया।

21. The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has recompensed me.

22. क्योंकि मैं यहोवा के माग पर चलता रहा, और अपने परमेश्वर से मुंह मोड़कर दुष्ट न बना।

22. For I have kept the ways of the LORD and have not wickedly departed from my God.

23. उसके सब नियम तो मेरे साम्हने बने रहे, और मैं उसकी विधियों से हट न गया।

23. For I have all his ordinances before me and am attentive to his statutes; I will not depart from them.

24. और मैं उसके साथ खरा बना रहा, और अधर्म से अपने को बचाए रहा, जिस में मेरे फंसने का डर था।

24. And I was perfect before him and have kept myself from my iniquity.

25. इसलिये यहोवा ने मुझे मेरे धर्म के अनुसार बदला दिया, मेरी उस शुठ्ठता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।

25. Therefore, the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness before his eyes.

26. दयावन्त के साथ तू अपने को दयावन्त दिखाता; खरे पुरूष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है;

26. With the merciful thou art good, [and] with the perfect thou art upright.

27. शुठ्ठ के साथ तू अपने को शुठ्ठ दिखाता; और टेढ़े के साथ तू तिरछा बनता है।

27. With the pure thou art pure, and with the perverse thou art an adversary.

28. और दीन लोगों को तो तू बचाता है, परन्तु अभिमानियों पर दृष्टि करके उन्हें नीचा करता है।
लूका 1:51

28. Thou wilt save the poor [in spirit]; but thine eyes [are] upon the haughty [that] thou may bring [them] down.

29. हे यहोवा, तू ही मेरा दीपक है, और यहोवा मेरे अन्धियारे को दूर करके उजियाला कर देता है।

29. For thou [art] my lamp, O LORD, and the LORD gives light unto my darkness.

30. तेरी सहायता से मैं दल पर धावा करता, अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं शहरपनाह को फांद जाता हूँ।

30. For in thee I have run through a troop; with my God I have gone over the walls.

31. ईश्वर की गति खरी है; यहोवा का वचन ताया हुआ है; वह अपने सब शरणागतों की ढाल है।

31. [As for] God, his way [is] perfect; the word of the LORD [is] purified; he [is] a shield to all those that trust in him.

32. यहोवा को छोड़ क्या कोई ईश्वर है? हमारे परमेश्वर को छोड़ क्या और कोई चट्टान है?

32. For what God [is there] except the LORD? Or who [is] a Strong One, except our God?

33. यह वही ईश्वर है, जो मेरा अति दृढ़ क़िला है, वह खरे मनुष्य को अपने मार्ग में लिए चलता है।

33. God [is] he who strengthens me with virtue; he who clears my way;

34. वह मेरे पैरों को हरिणियों के से बना देता है, और मुझे ऊंचे स्थानों पर खड़ा करता है।

34. he who makes my feet like hinds' [feet], and he who sets me upon my high places;

35. वह मेरे हाथों को युठ्ठ करना सिखाता है, यहां तक कि मेरी बांहें पीतल के धनुष को झुका देती हैं।

35. he who trains my hands for war and [causes] my arms to break the bow of bronze.

36. और तू ने मुझ को अपने उठ्ठार की ढाल दी है, और तेरी नम्रता मुझे बढ़ाती है।

36. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy saving health, and thy meekness has multiplied me.

37. तू मेरे पैऱों के लिये स्थान चौड़ा करता है, और मेरे पैर नहीं फिसले।

37. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me so that my knees did not shake.

38. मैं ने अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा करके उन्हें सत्यानाश कर दिया, और जब तक उनका अन्त न किया तब तक न लौटा।

38. I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them and did not return until I had consumed them.

39. और मैं ने उनका अन्त किया; और उन्हें ऐसा छेद डाला है कि वे उठ नहीं सकते; वरन वे तो मेरे पांवों के नीचे गिरे पड़े हैं।

39. And I consumed them and wounded them, and they did not arise; they are fallen under my feet.

40. और तू ने युठ्ठ के लिये मेरी कमर बलवन्त की; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे ही साम्हने परास्त कर दिया।

40. For thou hast girded me with strength for the battle; thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

41. और तू ने मेरे शत्रुओं की पीठ मुझे दिखाई, ताकि मैं अपने बैरियों को काट डालूं।

41. Thou hast given me the necks of my enemies, of those that hate me, that I might cut them off.

42. उन्हों ने बाट तो जोही, परन्तु कोई बचानेवाला न मिला; उन्हों ने यहोवा की भी बाट जोही, परन्तु उस ने उनको कोई उत्तर न दिया।

42. They looked, but [there was] no one to save them; [even] unto the LORD, but he did not answer them.

43. तब मैं ने उनको कूट कूटकर भूमि की धूलि के समान कर दिया, मैं ने उन्हें सड़कों और गली कूचों की कीचड़ के समान पटककर चारों ओर फैला दिया।

43. Then I beat them as small as the dust of the earth; I stamped them as the mire of the street [and] spread them abroad.

44. फिर तू ने मुुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से छुड़ाकर अन्य जातियों का प्रधान होने के लिये मेरी रक्षा की; जिन लोगों को मैं न जानता था वे भी मेरे आधीन हो जाएंगे।

44. Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of peoples; thou hast kept me [to be] head of the Gentiles; peoples [whom] I did not know have served me.

45. परदेशी मेरी चापलूसी करेंगे; वे मेरा नाम सुनते ही मेरे वश में आएंगे।

45. The strangers trembled [before] my [command]; as soon as they heard, they obeyed me.

46. परदेशी मुर्झाएंगे, और अपने कोठों में से थरथराते हुए निकलेंगे।

46. The strangers withered away and trembled in their close places.

47. यहोवा जीवित है; मेरी चट्टान धन्य है, और परमेश्वर जो मेरे उठ्ठार की चट्टान है, उसकी महिमा हो।

47. The LORD lives, and blessed [be] my rock, and exalted be the God [who is] the rock of my salvation.

48. धन्य है मेरा पलटा लेनेवाला ईश्वर, जो देश देश के लोगों को मेरे वश में कर देता है,

48. The God who has given me revenge and who subjects the peoples under me,

49. और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं के बीच से निकालता है; हां, तू मुझे मेरे विरोधियों से ऊंचा करता है, और उपद्रवी पुरूष से बचाता है।

49. who brings me forth from among my enemies; thou hast lifted me up on high from among those that rose up against me; thou hast delivered me from the man of violence.

50. इस कारण, हे यहोवा, मैं जाति जाति के साम्हने तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, और तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊंगा।
रोमियों 15:9

50. Therefore, I will confess thee among the Gentiles, O LORD, and I will sing unto thy name.

51. वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा का बड़ा उठ्ठार करता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद, और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करूणा करता रहेगा।

51. He who makes great the saving health of his king and shows mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for ever.:
