3. You are the rock where I am safe. You are my shield, my powerful weapon, and my place of shelter. You rescue me and keep me from being hurt.

5. Death, like ocean waves, surrounded me, and I was almost swallowed by its flooding waters.

6. Ropes from the world of the dead had coiled around me, and death had set a trap in my path.

7. I was in terrible trouble when I called out to you, but from your temple you heard me and answered my prayer.

9. and breathed out smoke. Scorching heat and fiery flames spewed from your mouth.

10. You opened the heavens like curtains, and you came down with storm clouds under your feet.

11. और वह करूब पर सवार होकर उड़ा, और पवन के पंखों पर चढ़कर दिखाई दिया।

11. You rode on the backs of flying creatures. You appeared with the wind as wings.

12. और उस ने अपने चारों ओर के अंधियारे को, मेघों के समूह, और आकाश की काली घटाओं को अपना मणडप बनाया।

12. Darkness was your tent! Thunderclouds filled the sky, hiding you from sight.

13. Fiery coals lit up the sky in front of you.

14. LORD Most High, your voice thundered from the heavens.

15. You scattered your enemies with arrows of lightning.

16. तब समुद्र की थाह दिखाई देने लगी, और जगत की नेवें खुल गई, यह तो यहोवा की डांट से, और उसके नथनों की सांस की झोंक से हुआ।

16. You roared at the sea, and its deepest channels could be seen. You snorted, and the earth shook to its foundations.

17. उस ने ऊपर से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थांम लिया, और मुझे गहरे जल में से खींचकर बाहर निकाला।

17. You reached down from heaven, and you lifted me from deep in the ocean.

18. उस ने मुझे मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और मेरे बैरियों से, जो मुझ से अधिक सामथ थे, मुझे छुड़ा लिया।

18. You rescued me from enemies who were hateful and too powerful for me.

19. उन्हों ने मेरी विपत्ति के दिन मेरा साम्हना तो किया; परन्तु यहोवा मेरा आश्रय था।

19. On the day disaster struck, they came and attacked, but you defended me.

20. और उस ने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े़ स्थान में पहुंचाया; उस ने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझ से प्रसन्न था।

20. When I was fenced in, you freed and rescued me because you love me.

21. यहोवा ने मुझ से मेरे धर्म के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; मेरे कामों की शुठ्ठता के अनुसार उस ने मुझे बदला दिया।

21. You are good to me, LORD, because I do right, and you reward me because I am innocent.

22. क्योंकि मैं यहोवा के माग पर चलता रहा, और अपने परमेश्वर से मुंह मोड़कर दुष्ट न बना।

22. I do what you want and never turn to do evil.

23. उसके सब नियम तो मेरे साम्हने बने रहे, और मैं उसकी विधियों से हट न गया।

23. I keep your laws in mind and never turn away from your teachings.

24. और मैं उसके साथ खरा बना रहा, और अधर्म से अपने को बचाए रहा, जिस में मेरे फंसने का डर था।

24. I obey you completely and guard against sin.

25. इसलिये यहोवा ने मुझे मेरे धर्म के अनुसार बदला दिया, मेरी उस शुठ्ठता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।

25. You have been good to me because I do right; you have rewarded me for being innocent by your standards.

26. दयावन्त के साथ तू अपने को दयावन्त दिखाता; खरे पुरूष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है;

26. You are always loyal to your loyal people, and you are faithful to the faithful.

27. शुठ्ठ के साथ तू अपने को शुठ्ठ दिखाता; और टेढ़े के साथ तू तिरछा बनता है।

27. With all who are sincere you are sincere, but you treat the unfaithful as their deeds deserve.

28. और दीन लोगों को तो तू बचाता है, परन्तु अभिमानियों पर दृष्टि करके उन्हें नीचा करता है।

28. You rescue the humble, but you look for ways to put down the proud.

29. हे यहोवा, तू ही मेरा दीपक है, और यहोवा मेरे अन्धियारे को दूर करके उजियाला कर देता है।

29. Our LORD and God, you are my lamp. You turn darkness to light.

30. तेरी सहायता से मैं दल पर धावा करता, अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं शहरपनाह को फांद जाता हूँ।

30. You help me defeat armies and capture cities.

31. ईश्वर की गति खरी है; यहोवा का वचन ताया हुआ है; वह अपने सब शरणागतों की ढाल है।

31. Your way is perfect, LORD, and your word is correct. You are a shield for those who run to you for help.

32. यहोवा को छोड़ क्या कोई ईश्वर है? हमारे परमेश्वर को छोड़ क्या और कोई चट्टान है?

32. You alone are God! Only you are a mighty rock.

33. यह वही ईश्वर है, जो मेरा अति दृढ़ क़िला है, वह खरे मनुष्य को अपने मार्ग में लिए चलता है।

33. You are my strong fortress, and you set me free.

34. You make my feet run as fast as those of a deer, and you help me stand on the mountains.

35. You teach my hands to fight and my arms to use a bow of bronze.

38. I kept chasing my enemies until I caught them and destroyed them.

39. और मैं ने उनका अन्त किया; और उन्हें ऐसा छेद डाला है कि वे उठ नहीं सकते; वरन वे तो मेरे पांवों के नीचे गिरे पड़े हैं।

39. I destroyed them! I stuck my sword through my enemies, and they were crushed under my feet.

40. और तू ने युठ्ठ के लिये मेरी कमर बलवन्त की; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे ही साम्हने परास्त कर दिया।

40. You helped me win victories and forced my attackers to fall victim to me.

41. और तू ने मेरे शत्रुओं की पीठ मुझे दिखाई, ताकि मैं अपने बैरियों को काट डालूं।

41. You made my enemies run, and I killed them.

42. उन्हों ने बाट तो जोही, परन्तु कोई बचानेवाला न मिला; उन्हों ने यहोवा की भी बाट जोही, परन्तु उस ने उनको कोई उत्तर न दिया।

42. They cried out for help, but no one saved them; they called out to you, but there was no answer.

43. तब मैं ने उनको कूट कूटकर भूमि की धूलि के समान कर दिया, मैं ने उन्हें सड़कों और गली कूचों की कीचड़ के समान पटककर चारों ओर फैला दिया।

43. I ground them to dust, and I squashed them like mud in the streets.

44. फिर तू ने मुुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से छुड़ाकर अन्य जातियों का प्रधान होने के लिये मेरी रक्षा की; जिन लोगों को मैं न जानता था वे भी मेरे आधीन हो जाएंगे।

44. You rescued me from my stubborn people and made me the leader of foreign nations, who are now my slaves.

45. परदेशी मेरी चापलूसी करेंगे; वे मेरा नाम सुनते ही मेरे वश में आएंगे।

45. They obey and come crawling.

46. परदेशी मुर्झाएंगे, और अपने कोठों में से थरथराते हुए निकलेंगे।

46. They have lost all courage and from their fortresses they come trembling.

47. यहोवा जीवित है; मेरी चट्टान धन्य है, और परमेश्वर जो मेरे उठ्ठार की चट्टान है, उसकी महिमा हो।

47. You are the living LORD! I will praise you! You are a mighty rock. I will honor you for keeping me safe.

48. धन्य है मेरा पलटा लेनेवाला ईश्वर, जो देश देश के लोगों को मेरे वश में कर देता है,

48. You took revenge for me, and you put nations in my power.

49. और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं के बीच से निकालता है; हां, तू मुझे मेरे विरोधियों से ऊंचा करता है, और उपद्रवी पुरूष से बचाता है।

49. You protected me from violent enemies, and you made me much greater than all of them.

50. इस कारण, हे यहोवा, मैं जाति जाति के साम्हने तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, और तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊंगा।

50. I will praise you, LORD, and I will honor you among the nations.

51. वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा का बड़ा उठ्ठार करता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद, और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करूणा करता रहेगा।

51. You give glorious victories to your chosen king. Your faithful love for David and for his descendants will never end.
