1. इसके बाद अबशालोम ने रथ और घोड़े, और अपते आगे आगे दौड़नेवाले पचास मनुष्य रख लिए।

1. After this, Absalom prepared him charets and horses, and fiftie men to runne before him.

2. और अबशालोम सवेरे उठकर फाटक के मार्ग के पास ख्ड़ा हाआ करता था; और जब जब कोई मु ई राजा के पास न्याय के लिये आता, तब तब अबशालोम उसको पुकारके पूछता था, तू किय नगर से आता है?

2. And Absalom rose vp early, and stoode hard by the entring in of the gate: and euery man that had any matter, and came to the King for iudgement, him did Absalom call vnto him, and sayde, Of what citie art thou? And he answered, Thy seruant is of one of the tribes of Israel.

3. और वह कहता था, कि तेरा दास इस्राएल के फुलाने गोत्रा का है। तब अबशालोम उस से कहता था, कि सुन, तेरा पक्ष तो ठीक और न्याय का है; परन्तु राजा की ओर से तेरी युननेवाला कोई नहीं है।

3. Then Absalom said vnto him, See, thy matters are good and righteous, but there is no man deputed of the King to heare thee.

4. फिर अबशालोम यह भी कहा करता था, कि भला होता कि मैं इस देश में न्यायी ठहराया जाता ! कि जितने मुक मावाले होते वे सब मेरे ही पास आते, और मैं उनका न्याय चुकाता।

4. Absalom sayd moreouer, Oh that I were made Iudge in the lande, that euery man which hath any matter of controuersie, might come to me, that I might do him iustice.

5. फिर जब कोई उसे दणडवत् करने को निकट आता, तब वह हाथ बढ़ाकर उसको पकड़के चूम लेता था।

5. And when any man came neere to him, and did him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and tooke him, and kissed him.

6. और जितने इस्राएली राजा के पास अपना मुक मा तै करने को आते उन सभों से अबशालोम ऐसा ही व्यवहार किया करता था; इस प्रकार अबशालोम ने इस्राएली मनुष्यों के मन को हर लिया।

6. And on this maner did Absalom to al Israel, that came to the King for iudgement: so Absalom stale the hearts of the men of Israel.

7. चार वर्ष के बीतने पर अबशालोम ने राजा से कहा, मुझे हेब्रोन जाकर अपनी उस मन्नत को पूरी करने दे, जो मैं ने यहोवा की मानी है।

7. And after fourtie yeeres, Absalom sayd vnto the King, I pray thee, let me go to Hebron, and render my vowe which I haue vowed vnto the Lord.

8. तेरा दास तो जब आराम के गशूर में रहता था, तब यह कहकर यहोवा की मन्नत मानी, कि यदि यहोवा मुझे सचमुच यरूशलेम को लौटा ले जाए, तो मैं यहोवा की उपासना करूंगा।

8. For thy seruant vowed a vowe when I remayned at Geshur, in Aram, saying, If the Lord shall bring me againe in deede to Ierusalem, I will serue the Lord.

9. राजा ने उस से कहा, कुशल क्षेम से जा। और वह चलकर हेब्रोन को गया।

9. And the King sayd vnto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

10. तब अबशालोम ने इस्राएल के समस्त गोत्रों में यह कहने के लिये भेदिए भेजे, कि जग नरसिंगे का शब्द तुम को सुन पड़े, तब कहना, कि अबशालोम हेब्रोन में राजा हुआ !

10. Then Absalom sent spyes throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, When yee heare the sound of the trumpet, Ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

11. और अबशालोम के संग दो सौ नेवतहारी यरूशलेम से गए; वे सीधे मन से उसका भेद बिना जाने गए।

11. And with Absalom went two hundreth men out of Ierusalem, that were called: and they went in their simplicitie, knowing nothing.

12. फिर जब अबशालोम का यज्ञ हुआ, तब उस ने गीलोवासी अहीतोपेल को, जो दाऊद का मंत्री था, बुलवा भेजा कि वह अपने नगर गीलो से आए। और राजद्रोह की गोष्ठी ने बल पकड़ा, क्योंकि अबशालोम के पक्ष के लोग बराबर बढ़ते गए।

12. Also Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite Dauids counseller, from his citie Giloh, while he offred sacrifices: and the treason was great: for the people encreased still with Absalom.

13. तब किसी ने दाऊद के पास जाकर यह समाचार दिया, कि इस्राएली मनुष्यों के मन अबशालोम की ओर हो गए हैं।

13. Then came a messenger to Dauid, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are turned after Absalom.

14. तब दाऊद ने अपने सब कर्मचारियों से जो यरूशलेम में उसके संग थे कहा, आओ, हम भाग चलें; नहीं तो हम में से कोर्ह भी अबशालोम से न बचेगा; इसलिये फुत करते चले चलो, ऐसा न हो कि वह फुत करके हमें आ घेरे, और हमारी हानि करे, और इस नगर को तलवार से मार ले।

14. Then Dauid sayd vnto all his seruants that were with him at Ierusalem, Vp, and let vs flee: for we shall not escape from Absalom: make speede to depart, lest he come suddenly and take vs, and bring euill vpon vs, and smite the citie with the edge of the sworde.

15. राजा के कर्मचारियों ने उस से कहा, जैसा हमारे प्रभु राजा को अच्छा जान पडे, वैसा ही करने के लिये तेरे दास तैयार हैं।

15. And the Kings seruants sayd vnto him, Behold, thy seruants are ready to do according to all that my lord the King shall appoynt.

16. तब राजा निकल गया, और उसके पीछे उसका समस्त घराना निकला। और राजा दस रखेलियों को भवन की चौकसी करने के लिये छोड़ गया।

16. So the King departed and all his houshold after him, and the King left ten concubines to keepe the house.

17. और राजा निकल गया, और उसके पीछे सब लोग निकले; और वे बेतमेर्हक में ठहर गए।

17. And the King went forth and all the people after him, and taried in a place farre off.

18. और उसके सब कर्मचारी उसके पास से होकर आगे गए; और सब करेती, और सब पलेती, और सब गती, अर्थात् जो छे सौ पुरूष गत से उसके पीछे हो लिए थे वे सब राजा के साम्हने से होकर आगे चले।

18. And all his seruants went about him, and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites and all the Gittites, euen sixe hudreth men which were come after him from Gath, went before the King.

19. तब राजा ने गती इत्तै से पूछा, हमारे संग तू क्यों चलता है? लौटकर राजा के पास रह; क्योंकि तू परदेशी और अपने देश से दूर है, इसलिये अपने स्थान को लौट जा।

19. Then sayde the King to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore commest thou also with vs? Returne aud abide with the King, for thou art a stranger: depart thou therefore to thy place.

20. तू तो कल ही आया है, क्या मैं आज तुझे अपने साथ मारा मारा फिराऊं? मैं तो जहां जा समूंगा वहां जाऊंगा। तू लौट जा, और अपने भाइयों को भी लौटा दे; ईश्चर की करूणा और यच्चाई तेरे संग रहे।

20. Thou camest yesterday, and should I cause thee to wander to day and go with vs? I will goe whither I can: therefore returne thou and cary againe thy brethren: mercy and trueth be with thee.

21. इत्तै ने राजा को उत्तर देकर कहा, यहोवा के जीवन की शपथ, और मेरे प्रभु राजा के जीवन की शपथ, जिस किसी स्थान में मेरा प्रभु राजा रहेगा, चाहे मरने के लिये हो चाहे जीवित रहने के लिये, उसी स्थान में तेरा दास भी रहेगा।

21. And Ittai answered the King, and sayde, As the Lord liueth, and as my lord the King liueth, in what place my lord the King shalbe, whether in death or life, euen there surely will thy seruant bee.

22. तब दाऊद ने इत्तै से कहा, पार चल। सो गती इत्तै अपने समस्त जनों और अपने साथ के सब बाल- बच्चों समेत पार हो गया।

22. Then Dauid sayd to Ittai, Come, and go forward. And Ittai the Gittite went, and all his men, and all the children that were with him.

23. सब रहनेवाले चिल्ला चिल्लाकर रोए; और सब लोग पार हुए, और राजा भी किद्रोन नाम नाले के पार हुआ, और सब लोग नाले के पार जंगल के मार्ग की ओर पार होकर चल पड़े।

23. And all the countrey wept with a loude voyce, and all the people went forward, but the King passed ouer the brooke Kidron: and all the people went ouer toward the way of ye wildernes.

24. तब क्या देखने में आया, कि सादोक भी और उसके संग सब लेवीय परमेश्वर की वाचा का सन्दूक उठाए हुए हैं; और उन्हों ने परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को धर दिया, तब एब्यातार चढ़ा, और जब तक सब लोग नगर से न निकले तब तक वहीं रहा।

24. And lo, Zadok also was there, and all the Leuites with him, bearing the Arke of the couenant of God: and they set downe the Arke of God, and Abiathar went vp vntill the people were all come out of the citie.

25. तब राजा ने सादोक से कहा, परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को नगर में लौटा ले जा। यदि यहोवा के अनुग्रह की दृष्टि मुझ पर हो, तो वह मुझे लौटाकर उसको और अपने वासस्थान को भी दिखाएगा;

25. Then the King said vnto Zadok, Carie the Arke of God againe into the citie: if I shall finde fauour in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me againe, and shewe me both it, and the Tabernacle thereof.

26. परन्तु यदि वह मुझ से ऐसा कहे, कि मैं तुझ से प्रसन्न नहीं, तौभी मैं हाजिर हूं, जैसा उसको भाए वैसा ही वह मेरे साथ बर्त्ताव करे।

26. But if he thus say, I haue no delite in thee, behold, here am I, let him doe to me as seemeth good in his eyes.

27. फिर राजा ने सादोक याजक से कहा, क्या तू दश नहीं है? सो कुशल क्षेम से नगर में लौट जा, और तेरा पुत्रा अहीमास, और एब्यातार का पुत्रा योनातन, दोनों तुम्हारे संग लौटें।

27. The King sayde againe vnto Zadok the Priest, Art not thou a Seer? returne into the citie in peace, and your two sonnes with you: to wit, Ahimaaz thy sonne, and Ionathan the sonne of Abiathar.

28. सुनो, मैं जंगल के घाट के पास तब तक ठहरा रहूंगा, जब तक तुम लोगों से मुझे हाल का समाचार न मिले।

28. Behold, I wil tarie in the fieldes of the wildernesse, vntill there come some worde from you to be tolde me.

29. तब सादोक और एब्यातार ने परमेश्वर के सन्दूक को यरूशलेम में लौटा दिया; और आप वही रहे।

29. Zadok therefore and Abiathar caried the Arke of God againe to Ierusalem, and they taried there.

30. तब दाऊद जलपाइसों के पहाड़ की चढ़ाई पर सिर ढांपे, नंगे पांव, रोता हुआ चढ़ने लगा; और जितने लोग उसके संग थे, वे भी सिर ढांपे रोते हुए चढ़ गए।

30. And Dauid went vp the mount of oliues and wept as he went vp, and had his head couered, and went barefooted: and al the people that was with him, had euery man his head couered, and as they went vp, they wept.

31. तब दाऊद को यह समाचार मिला, कि अबशालोम के संगी राजद्रोहियों के साथ अहीतोपेल है। दाऊद ने कहा, हे यहोवा, अहीतोपेल की सम्मति को मूर्खता बना दे।

31. Then one tolde Dauid, saying, Ahithophel is one of them that haue cospired with Absalom: and Dauid sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, turne the counsell of Ahithophel into foolishnesse.

32. जब दाऊद चोटी तक पहुंचा, जहां परमेश्वर को दणडवत् किया करते थे, तब एरेकी हूशै अंगरखा फाड़े, सिर पर मिट्टी डाले हुए उस से मिलने को आया।

32. Then Dauid came to the toppe of the mount where he worshipped God: and beholde, Hushai the Archite came against him with his coate torne, and hauing earth vpon his head.

33. दाऊद ने उस से कहा, यदि तू मेरे संग आगे जाए, तब तो मेरे लिये भार ठहरेगा।

33. Vnto whom Dauid sayd, If thou goe with me, thou shalt be a burthen vnto me.

34. परन्तु यदि तू नगर को लौटकर अबशालोम से कहने लगे, हे राजा, मैं तेरा कर्मचारी हूंगा; जैसा मैं बहुत दिन तेरे पिता का कर्मचारी रहा, वैसा ही अब तेरा रहूंगा, तो तू मेरे हित के लिये अहीतोपेल की सम्मति को निष्फल कर सकेगा।

34. But if thou returne to the citie, and say vnto Absalom, I wil be thy seruant, O King, (as I haue bene in time past thy fathers seruant, so will I now be thy seruant) then thou mayest bring me the counsell of Ahithophel to nought.

35. और क्या वहां तेरे संग सादोक और एब्यातार याजक न रहेंगे? इसलिये राजभवन में से जो हाल तुझे सुन पड़े, उसे सादोक और एब्यातार याजकों को बताया करना।
मरकुस 2:26

35. And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the Priests? therefore what so euer thou shalt heare out of the Kings house, thou shalt shew to Zadok and Abiathar the Priests.

36. उनके साथ तो उनके दो पुत्रा, अर्थात् सादोक का पुत्रा अहीमास, और एब्यातार का पुत्रा योनातन, वहां रहेंगे; तो जो समाचार तुम लोगों को मिले उसे मेरे पास उन्हीं के हाथ भेजा करना।

36. Beholde, there are with them their two sonnes: Ahimaaz Zadoks sonne, and Ionathan Abiathars sonne: by them also shall ye send me euery thing that ye can heare.

37. और दाऊद का मित्रा, हूशै, नगर को गया, और अबशालोम भी यरूशलेम में पहुंच गया।

37. So Hushai Dauids friend went into the citie: and Absalom came into Ierusalem.
