1. पूरे दो बरस के बीतने पर फिरौन ने यह स्वप्न देखा, कि वह नील नदी के किनारे पर खड़ा है।

1. It happened at the end of two full years, that Par`oh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

2. और उस नदी में से सात सुन्दर और मोटी मोटी गायें निकलकर कछार की घास चरने लगीं।

2. Behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, well-favored and fat-fleshed, and they fed in the reed-grass.

3. और, क्या देखा, कि उनके पीछे और सात गायें, जो कुरूप और दुर्बल हैं, नदी से निकली; और दूसरी गायों के निकट नदी के तट पर जा खड़ी हुई।

3. Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean-fleshed, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

4. तब ये कुरूप और दुर्बल गायें उन सात सुन्दर और मोटी मोटी गायों को खा गई। तब फिरौन जाग उठा।

4. The ill-favored and lean-fleshed cattle ate up the seven well-favored and fat cattle. So Par`oh awoke.

5. और वह फिर सो गया और दूसरा स्वप्न देखा, कि एक डंठी में से सात मोटी और अच्छी अच्छी बालें निकलीं।

5. He slept and dreamed a second time: and, behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, healthy and good.

6. और, क्या देखा, कि उनके पीछे सात बालें पतली और पुरवाई से मुरझाई हुई निकलीं।

6. Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

7. और इन पतली बालों ने उन सातों मोटी और अन्न से भरी हुई बालों को निगल लिया। तब फिरौन जागा, और उसे मालूम हुआ कि यह स्वप्न ही था।

7. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Par`oh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

8. भोर को फिरौन का मन व्याकुल हुआ; और उस ने मि के सब ज्योतिषियों, और पण्डितों को बुलवा भेजा; और उनको अपने स्वप्न बताएं; पर उन में से कोई भी उनका फल फिरौन से न कह सहा।

8. It happened in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Mitzrayim, and all the wise men of it. Par`oh told them his dream, but there was no one who could interpret them to Par`oh.

9. तब पिलानेहारों का प्रधान फिरौन से बोल उठा, कि मेरे अपराध आज मुझे स्मरण आए:

9. Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Par`oh, saying, 'I remember my faults today.

10. जब फिरौन अपने दासों से क्रोधित हुआ था, और मुझे और पकानेहारों के प्रधान को कैद कराके जल्लादों के प्रधान के घर के बन्दीगृह में डाल दिया था;

10. Par`oh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, me and the chief baker.

11. तब हम दोनों ने, एक ही रात में, अपने अपने होनहार के अनुसार स्वप्न देखा;

11. We dreamed a dream in one night, I and he. We dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

12. और वहां हमारे साथ एक इब्री जवान था, जो जल्लादों के प्रधान का दास था; सो हम ने उसको बताया, और उस ने हमारे स्वप्नों का फल हम से कहा, हम में से एक एक के स्वप्न का फल उस ने बता दिया।

12. There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. To each man according to his dream he interpreted.

13. और जैसा जैसा फल उस ने हम से कहा था, वैसा की हुआ भी, अर्थात् मुझ को तो मेरा पद फिर मिला, पर वह फांसी पर लटकाया गया।

13. It happened, as he interpreted to us, so it was: he restored me to my office, and he hanged him.'

14. तब फिरौन ने यूसुफ को बुलवा भेजा। और वह झटपट बन्दीगृह से बाहर निकाला गया, और बाल बनवाकर, और वस्त्रा बदलकर फिरौन के साम्हने आया।

14. Then Par`oh sent and called Yosef, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Par`oh.

15. फिरौन ने यूसुफ से कहा, मैं ने एक स्वप्न देखा है, और उसके फल का बतानेवाला कोई भी नहीं; और मैं ने तेरे विषय में सुना है, कि तू स्वप्न सुनते ही उसका फल बता सकता है।

15. Par`oh said to Yosef, 'I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.'

16. यूसुफ ने फिरौन से कहा, मै तो कुछ नहीं जानता : परमेश्वर ही फिरौन के लिये शुभ वचन देगा।

16. Yosef answered Par`oh, saying, 'It isn't in me. God will give Par`oh an answer of shalom.'

17. फिर फिरौन यूसुफ से कहने लगा, मै ने अपने स्वप्न में देखा, कि मैं नील नदी के किनारे पर खड़ा हूं

17. Par`oh spoke to Yosef, 'In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river:

18. फिर, क्या देखा, कि नदी में से सात मोटी और सुन्दर सुन्दर गायें निकलकर कछार की घास चरने लगी।

18. and, behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, fat-fleshed and well-favored. They fed in the reed-grass,

19. फिर, क्या देखा, कि उनके पीछे सात और गायें निकली, जो दुबली, और बहुत कुरूप, और दुर्बल हैं; मै ने तो सारे मि देश में ऐसी कुडौल गायें कभी नहीं देखीं।

19. and, behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ill-favored and lean-fleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Mitzrayim for ugliness.

20. और इन दुर्बल और कुडौल गायों ने उन पहली सातों मोटी मोटी गायों को खा लिया।

20. The lean and ill-favored cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle,

21. और जब वे उनको खा गई तब यह मालूम नहीं होता था कि वे उनको खा गई हैं, क्योंकि वे पहिले की नाई जैसी की तैसी कुडौल रहीं। तब मैं जाग उठा।

21. and when they had eaten them up, it couldn't be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ill-favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

22. फिर मैं ने दूसरा स्वप्न देखा, कि एक ही डंठी में सात अच्छी अच्छी और अन्न से भरी हुई बालें निकलीं।

22. I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good:

23. फिर, क्या देखता हूं, कि उनके पीछे और सात बालें छूछी छूछी और पतली और पुरवाई से मुरझाई हुई निकलीं।

23. and, behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

24. और इन पतली बालों ने उन सात अच्छी अच्छी बालों को निगल लिया। इसे मैं ने ज्योतिषियों को बताया, पर इस का समझनेहारा कोई नहीं मिला।

24. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians; but there was no one who could explain it to me.'

25. तब यूसुफ ने फिरौन से कहा, फिरौन का स्वप्न एक ही है, परमेश्वर जो काम किया चाहता है, उसको उस ने फिरौन को जताया है।

25. Yosef said to Par`oh, 'The dream of Par`oh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Par`oh.

26. वे सात अच्छी अच्छी गायें सात वर्ष हैं; और वे सात अच्छी अच्छी बालें भी सात वर्ष हैं; स्वप्न एक ही है।

26. The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

27. फिर उनके पीछे जो दुर्बल और कुडौल गायें निकलीं, और जो सात छूछी और पुरवाई से मुरझाई हुई बालें निकाली, वे अकाल के सात वर्ष होंगे।

27. The seven lean and ill-favored cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

28. यह वही बात है, जो मैं फिरौन से कह चुका हूं, कि परमेश्वर जो काम किया चाहता है, उसे उस ने फिरौन को दिखाया है।

28. That is the thing which I spoke to Par`oh. What God is about to do he has shown to Par`oh.

29. सुन, सारे मि देश में सात वर्ष तो बहुतायत की उपज के होंगे।

29. Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

30. उनके पश्चात् सात वर्ष अकाल के आयेंगे, और सारे मि देश में लोग इस सारी उपज को भूल जायेंगे; और अकाल से देश का नाश होगा।

30. There will arise after them seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Mitzrayim. The famine will consume the land,

31. और सुकाल (बहुतायत की उपज) देश में फिर स्मरण न रहेगा क्योंकि अकाल अत्यन्त भयंकर होगा।

31. and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

32. और फिरौन ने जो यह स्वप्न दो बार देखा है इसका भेद यही है, कि यह बात परमेश्वर की ओर से नियुक्त हो चुकी है, और परमेश्वर इसे शीघ्र ही पूरा करेगा।

32. The dream was doubled to Par`oh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

33. इसलिये अब फिरौन किसी समझदार और बुद्धिमान् पुरूष को ढूंढ़ करके उसे मि देश पर प्रधानमंत्री ठहराए।

33. Now therefore let Par`oh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Mitzrayim.

34. फिरौन यह करे, कि देश पर अधिकारियों को नियुक्त करे, और जब तक सुकाल के सात वर्ष रहें तब तक वह मि देश की उपज का पंचमांश लिया करे।

34. Let Par`oh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Mitzrayim's produce in the seven plenteous years.

35. और वे इन अच्छे वर्षों में सब प्रकार की भोजनवस्तु इकट्ठा करें, और नगर नगर में भण्डार घर भोजन के लिये फिरौन के वश में करके उसकी रक्षा करें।

35. Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Par`oh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.

36. और वह भोजनवस्तु अकाल के उन सात वर्षों के लिये, जो मि देश में आएंगे, देश के भोजन के निमित्त रखी रहे, जिस से देश उस अकाल से स्त्यानाश न हो जाए।

36. The food will be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Mitzrayim; that the land not perish through the famine.'

37. यह बात फिरौन और उसके सारे कर्मचारियों को अच्छी लगी।

37. The thing was good in the eyes of Par`oh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

38. सो फिरौन ने अपने कर्मचारियों से कहा, कि क्या हम को ऐसा पुरूष जैसा यह है, जिस में परमेश्वर का आत्मा रहता है, मिल सकता है ?

38. Par`oh said to his servants, 'Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?'

39. फिर फिरौन ने यूसुफ से कहा, परमेश्वर ने जो तुझे इतना ज्ञान दिया है, कि तेरे तुल्य कोई समझदार और बुद्धिमान् नहीं;

39. Par`oh said to Yosef, 'Because God has shown you all of this, there is none so discreet and wise as you.

40. इस कारण तू मेरे घर का अधिकारी होगा, और तेरी आज्ञा के अनुसार मेरी सारी प्रजा चलेगी, केवल राजगद्दी के विषय मैं तुझ से बड़ा ठहरूंगा।

40. You shall be over my house, and according to your word will all my people be ruled. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.'

41. फिर फिरौन ने यूसुफ से कहा, सुन, मैं तुझ को मि के सारे देश के ऊपर अधिकारी ठहरा देता हूं

41. Par`oh said to Yosef, 'Behold, I have set you over all the land of Mitzrayim.'

42. तब फिरौन ने अपने हाथ से अंगूठी निकालके यूसुफ के हाथ में पहिना दी; और उसको बढ़िया मलमल के वस्त्रा पहिनवा दिए, और उसके गले में सोने की जंजीर डाल दी;

42. Par`oh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Yosef's hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck,

43. और उसको अपने दूसरे रथ पर चढ़वाया; और लोग उसके आगे आगे यह प्रचार करते चले, कि घुटने टेककर दण्डवत करो और उस ने उसको मि के सारे देश के ऊपर प्रधान मंत्री ठहराया।

43. and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, 'Bow the knee!' He set him over all the land of Mitzrayim.

44. फिर फिरौन ने यूसुफ से कहा, फिरौन तो मैं हूं, और सारे मि देश में कोई भी तेरी आज्ञा के बिना हाथ पांव न हिलाएगा।

44. Par`oh said to Yosef, 'I am Par`oh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Mitzrayim.'

45. और फिरौन ने यूसुफ का नाम सापन त्पानेह रखा। और ओन नगर के याजक पोतीपेरा की बेटी आसनत से उसका ब्याह करा दिया। और यूसुफ मि के सारे देश में दौरा करने लगा।

45. Par`oh called Yosef's name Zaphenath-paneah; and he gave him Asenat, the daughter of Potiphera Kohen of On as a wife. Yosef went out over the land of Mitzrayim.

46. जब यूसुफ मि के राजा फिरौन के सम्मुख खड़ा हुआ, तब वह तीस वर्ष का था। सो वह फिरौन के सम्मुख से निकलकर मि के सारे देश में दौरा करने लगा।

46. Yosef was thirty years old when he stood before Par`oh king of Mitzrayim. Yosef went out from the presence of Par`oh, and went throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

47. सुकाल के सातों वर्षों में भूमि बहुतायत से अन्न उपजाती रही।

47. In the seven plenteous years the eretz brought forth abundantly.

48. और यूसुफ उन सातों वर्षों में सब प्रकार की भोजनवस्तुएं, जो मि देश में होती थीं, जमा करके नगरों में रखता गया, और हर एक नगर के चारों ओर के खेतों की भोजनवस्तुओं को वह उसी नगर में इकट्ठा करता गया।

48. He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Mitzrayim, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, he laid up in the same.

49. सो यूसुफ ने अन्न को समुद्र की बालू के समान अत्यन्त बहुतायत से राशि राशि करके रखा, यहां तक कि उस ने उनका गिनना छोड़ दिया; क्योंकि वे असंख्य हो गई।

49. Yosef laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.

50. अकाल के प्रथम वर्ष के आने से पहिले यूसुफ के दो पुत्रा, ओन के याजक पोतीपेरा की बेटी आसनत से जन्मे।

50. To Yosef were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenat, the daughter of Potiphera Kohen of On, bore to him.

51. और यूसुफ ने अपने जेठे का नाम यह कहके मनश्शे रखा, कि परमेश्वर ने मुझ से सारा क्लेश, और मेरे पिता का सारा घराना भुला दिया है।

51. Yosef called the name of the firstborn Menashsheh, 'For,' he said, 'God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.'

52. और दूसरे का नाम उस ने यह कहकर एप्रैम रखा, कि मुझे दु:ख भोगने के देश में परमेश्वर ने फुलाया फलाया है।

52. The name of the second, he called Efrayim: 'For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.'

53. और मि देश के सुकाल के वे सात वर्ष समाप्त हो गए।

53. The seven years of plenty, that was in the land of Mitzrayim, came to an end.

54. और यूसुफ के कहने के अनुसार सात वर्षों के लिये अकाल आरम्भ हो गया। और सब देशों में अकाल पड़ने लगा; परन्तु सारे मि देश में अन्न था।
प्रेरितों के काम 7:11

54. The seven years of famine began to come, just as Yosef had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Mitzrayim there was bread.

55. जब मि का सारा देश भूखों मरने लगा; तब प्रजा फिरोन से चिल्ला चिल्लाकर रोटी मांगने लगी : और वह सब मिस्त्रियों से कहा करता था, यूसुफ के पास जाओ: और जो कुछ वह तुम से कहे, वही करो।

55. When all the land of Mitzrayim was famished, the people cried to Par`oh for bread, and Par`oh said to all the Mitzrim, 'Go to Yosef. What he says to you, do.'

56. सो जब अकाल सारी पृथ्वी पर फैल गया, और मि देश में काल का भयंकर रूप हो गया, तब यूसुफ सब भण्डारों को खोल खोलके मिस्त्रियों के हाथ अन्न बेचने लगा।

56. The famine was over all the surface of the eretz. Yosef opened all the store-houses, and sold to the Mitzrim. The famine was severe in the land of Mitzrayim.

57. सो सारी पृथ्वी के लोग मि में अन्न मोल लेने के लिये यूसुफ के पास आने लगे, क्योंकि सारी पृथ्वी पर भयंकर अकाल था।

57. All countries came into Mitzrayim, to Yosef, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the eretz.
