1. सो जब तुम मसीह के साथ जिलाए गए, तो स्वर्गीय वस्तुओं की खोज में रहो, जहां मसीह वर्तमान है और परमेश्वर के दहिनी ओर बैठा है।
यशायाह 45:3

1. So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God.

2. प्रथ्वी पर की नहीं परन्तु स्वर्गीय वस्तुओं पर ध्यान लगाओ।

2. Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth.

3. क्योंकि तुम तो मर गए, और तुम्हारा जीवन मसीह के साथ परमेश्वर में छिपा हुआ है।

3. For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.

4. जब मसीह जो हमारा जीवन है, प्रगट होगा, तब तुम भी उसके साथ महिमा सहित प्रगट किए जाओगे।

4. When the Messiah, who is our life, appears, then you too will appear with him in glory!

5. इसलिये अपने उन अंगो को मार डालो, जो पृथ्वी पर हैं, अर्थात् व्यभिचार, अशुद्धता, दुष्कामना, बुरी लालसा और लोभ को जो मूर्ति पूजा के बराबर है।

5. Therefore, put to death the earthly parts of your nature- sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed (which is a form of idolatry);

6. इन ही के कारण परमेश्वर का प्रकोप आज्ञा न माननेवालों पर पड़ता है।

6. for it is because of these things that God's anger is coming on those who disobey him.

7. और तुम भी, जब इन बुराइयों में जीवन बिताते थे, तो इन्हीं के अनुसार चलते थे।

7. True enough, you used to practice these things in the life you once lived;

8. पर अब तुम भी इन सब को अर्थात् क्रोध, रोष, बैरभाव, निन्दा, और मुंह से गालियां बकना ये सब बातें छोड़ दो।

8. but now, put them all away- anger, exasperation, meanness, slander and obscene talk.

9. एक दूसरे से झूठ मत बोलो क्योंकि तुम ने पुराने मनुष्यत्व को उसके कामों समेत उतार डाला है।

9. Never lie to one another; because you have stripped away the old self, with its ways,

10. और नए मनुष्यत्व को पहिन लिया है जो अपने सृजनहार के स्वरूप के अनुसार ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिये नया बनता जाता है।
भजन संहिता 110:1

10. and have put on the new self, which is continually being renewed in fuller and fuller knowledge, closer and closer to the image of its Creator.

11. उस में न तो यूनानी रहा, न यहूदी, न खतना, न खतनारहित, न जंगली, न स्कूती, न दास और न स्वतंत्रा: केवल मसीह सब कुछ और सब में है।।

11. The new self allows no room for discriminating between Gentile and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, foreigner, savage, slave, free man; on the contrary, in all, the Messiah is everything.

12. इसलिये परमेश्वर के चुने हुओं की नाईं जो पवित्रा और प्रिय हैं, बड़ी करूणा, और भलाई, और दीनता, और नम्रता, और सहनशीलता धारण करो।

12. Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

13. और यदि किसी को किसी पर दोष देने को कोई कारण हो, तो एक दूसरे की सह लो, और एक दूसरे के अपराध क्षमा करो: जैसे प्रभु ने तुम्हारे अपराध क्षमा किए, वैसे ही तुम भी करो।

13. Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.

14. और इन सब के ऊपर प्रेम को जो सिद्धता का कटिबन्ध है बान्ध लो।

14. Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly;

15. और मसीह की शान्ति जिस के लिये तुम एक देह होकर बुलाए भी गए हो, तुम्हारे हृदय में राज्य करे, और तुम धन्यवादी बने रहो।

15. and let the [shalom] which comes from the Messiah be your heart's decision-maker, for this is why you were called to be part of a single Body. And be thankful-

16. मसीह के वचन को अपने हृदय में अधिकाई से बसने दो; और सिद्ध ज्ञान सहित एक दूसरे को सिखाओ, और चिताओ, और अपने अपने मन में अनुग्रह के साथ परमेश्वर के लिये भजन और स्तुतिगान और आत्मिक गीत गाओ।

16. let the Word of the Messiah, in all its richness, live in you, as you teach and counsel each other in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude to God in your hearts.

17. और वचन से या काम से जो कुछ भी करो सब प्रभु यीशु के नाम से करो, और उसके द्वारा परमेश्वर पिता का धन्यवाद करो।।

17. That is, everything you do or say, do in the name of the Lord Yeshua, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

18. हे पत्नियो, जेसा प्रभु में उचित है, वैसा ही अपने अपने पति के आधीन रहो।

18. Wives, subject yourselves to your husbands, as is appropriate in the Lord.

19. हे पतियो, अपनी अपनी पत्नी से प्रेम रखो, और उन से कठोरता न करो।

19. Husbands, love your wives and don't treat them harshly.

20. हे बालको, सब बातों में अपने अपने माता- पिता की आज्ञा का पालन करो, क्योंकि प्रभु इस से प्रसन्न होता है।

20. Children, obey your parents in everything; for this pleases the Lord.

21. हे बच्चेवालो, अपने बालकों को तंग न करो, न हो कि उन का साहस टूट जाए।

21. Fathers, don't irritate your children and make them resentful, or they will become discouraged.

22. हे सेवको, जो शरीर के अनुसार तुम्हारे स्वामी हैं, सब बातों में उन की आज्ञा का पालन करो, मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करनेवालों की नाईं दिखाने के लिये नहीं, परन्तु मन की सीधाई और परमेश्वर के भय से।

22. Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not serving only when they are watching you, to win their favor, but single-heartedly, fearing the Lord.

23. और जो कुछ तुम करते हो, तन मन से करो, यह समझकर कि मनुष्यों के लिये नहीं परन्तु प्रभु के लिये करते हो।

23. Whatever work you do, put yourself into it, as those who are serving not merely other people, but the Lord.

24. क्योंकि तुम जानते हो कि तुम्हें इस के बदले प्रभु से मीरास मिलेगी: तुम प्रभु मसीह की सेवा करते हो।

24. Remember that as your reward, you will receive the inheritance from the Lord. You are slaving for the Lord, for the Messiah.

25. क्योंकि जो बुरा करता है, वह अपनी बुराई का फल पाएगा; वहां किसी का पक्षपात नहीं।

25. Don't worry- whoever is doing wrong will be paid in kind for his wrong, and there is no favoritism shown.
