1. हे बालकों, प्रभु में अपने माता पिता के आज्ञाकारी बनो, क्योंकि यह उचित है।

1. Chyldren, obey your fathers and mothers in the Lorde: for this is ryght.

2. अपनी माता और पिता का आदर कर (यह पहिली आज्ञा है, जिस के साथ प्रतिज्ञा भी है)।

2. Honour thy father and mother (whiche is the first commaundement in promise)

3. कि तेरा भला हो, और तू धरती पर बहुत दिन जीवित रहे।

3. That thou mayest prosper, and lyue long on earth.

4. और हे बच्चेवालों अपने बच्चों को रिस न दिलाओ परन्तु प्रभु की शिक्षा, और चितावनी देते हुए, उन का पालन- पोषण करो।।

4. Fathers prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lorde.

5. हे दासो, जो लोग शरीर के अनुसार तुम्हारे स्वामी हैं, अपने मन की सीधाई से डरते, और कांपते हुए, जैसे मसीह की, वैसे ही उन की भी आज्ञा मानो।

5. Seruauntes obey them that are your bodyly maisters, with feare and tremblyng, in singlenesse of your heart, as vnto Christe.

6. और मनुष्यों को प्रसन्न करनेवालों की नाई दिखाने के लिये सेवा न करो, पर मसीह के दासों की नाई मन से परमेश्वर की इच्छा पर चलो।

6. Not with seruice vnto the eye, as men pleasers: but as the seruautes of Christ.

7. और उस सेवा को मनुष्यों की नहीं, परन्तु प्रभु की जानकर सुइच्छा से करो।

7. Doyng the wyll of God fro the heart, with good wyll seruyng the Lorde, and not men:

8. क्योंकि तुम जानते हो, कि जो कोई जैसा अच्छा काम करेगा, चाहे दास हो, चाहे स्वतंत्रा; प्रभु से वैसा ही पाएगा।

8. Knowyng, that whatsoeuer good thyng any man doeth, that shall he receaue agayne of the Lorde, whether [he be] bonde or free.

9. और हे स्वामियों, तुम भी धमकियां छोड़कर उन के साथ वैसा ही व्यवहार करो, क्योंकि जानते हो, कि उन का और तुम्हारा दानों का स्वामी स्वर्ग में है, और वह किसी का पक्ष नहीं करता।।

9. And ye maisters do the same thynges vnto them, puttyng away threatnyng: knowyng that your maister also is in heauen, neither is respecte of person with hym.

10. निदान, प्रभु में और उस की शक्ति में बलवन्त बनो।

10. Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lorde, & in the power of his might.

11. परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्ध लो; कि तुम शैतान की युक्तियों के साम्हने खड़े रह सको।

11. Put on all the armour of God, that ye may stande agaynst the assaultes of the deuyll.

12. क्योंकि हमारा यह मल्लयुद्ध, लोहू और मांस से नहीं, परन्तु प्रधानों से और अधिकारियों से, और इस संसार के अन्धकार के हाकिमों से, और उस दुष्टता की आत्मिक सेनाओं से है जो आकाश में हैं।

12. For we wrastle not agaynst blood & flesshe: but agaynst rule, agaynst power, agaynst worldly gouernours of the darknesse of this worlde, agaynst spirituall craftynesse in heauenly [places.]

13. इसलिये परमेश्वर के सारे हथियार बान्ध लो, कि तुम बुरे दिन में साम्हना कर सको, और सब कुछ पूरा करके स्थिर रह सको।

13. Wherfore take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euyll day, and hauing finished all thynges, to stande fast.

14. सो सत्य से अपनी कमर कसकर, और धार्मीकता की झिलम पहिन कर।

14. Stande therfore, hauyng loynes girt about with the trueth, and puttyng on the brest plate of righteousnesse,

15. और पांवों में मेल के सुसमाचार की तैयारी के जूते पहिन कर।

15. And hauyng your feete shodde, in the preparation of the Gospell of peace.

16. और उन सब के साथ विश्वास की ढाल लेकर स्थिर रहो जिस से तुम उस दुष्ट के सब जलते हुए तीरों को बुझा सको।

16. Aboue all, takyng the shielde of fayth, wherwith ye may quenche all the fierie dartes of the wicked:

17. और उद्धार का टोप, और आत्मा की तलवार जो परमेश्वर का वचन है, ले लो।

17. And take the helmet of saluation, and the sworde of the spirite, whiche is the worde of God.

18. और हर समय और हर प्रकार से आत्मा में प्रार्थना, और बिनती करते रहो, और इसी लिये जागते रहो, कि सब पवित्रा लोगों के लिये लगातार बिनती किया करो।

18. Praying alwayes in all prayer and supplication in the spirite, and watche thervnto with all instaunce and supplication, for all saintes,

19. और मेरे लिये भी, कि मुझे बोलने के समय ऐसा प्रबल वचन दिया जाए, कि मैं हियाव से सुसमाचार का भेद बता सकूं जिस के लिये मैं जंजीर से जकड़ा हुआ राजदूत हूं।

19. And for me, that vtteraunce may be geue vnto me, yt I may open my mouth freely, to vtter ye secretes of the Gospell.

20. और यह भी कि मैं उस के विषय में जैसा मुझे चाहिए हियाव से बोलूं।।

20. Whereof I am messenger in bondes, that therein I may speake freely, as I ought to speake.

21. और तुखिकुस जो प्रिय भाई और प्रभु में विश्वासयोग्य सेवक है तुम्हें सब बातें बताएगा, कि तुम भी मेरी दशा जानो कि मैं कैसा रहता हूं।

21. But yt ye may also knowe my affaires, and what I do, Tichicus a deare brother and faythfull minister in the Lord, shall shewe you all thynges:

22. उसे मैं ने तुम्हारे पास इसी लिये भेजा है, कि तुम हमारी दशा जानो, और वह तुम्हारे मनों को शान्ति दे।।

22. Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye myght knowe of our affaires, and that he myght comfort your heartes.

23. परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से भाइयों को शान्ति और विश्वास सहित प्रेम मिले।

23. Peace [be] vnto the brethren, and loue, with fayth, from God the father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christe.

24. जो हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह से सच्चा प्रेम रखते हैं, उन सब पर अनुग्रह होता रहे।।
