1. उसी समय दाऊद के घराने और यरूशलेम के निवासियों के लिये पाप और मलिनता धोने के निमित्त एक बहता हुआ सोता होगा।।

1. In the future there will be a fountain, where David's descendants and the people of Jerusalem can wash away their sin and guilt.

2. और सेनाओं के यहोवा की यह वाणी है, कि उस समय मैं इस देश मे से मूर्तो के नाम मिटा डालूंगा, और वे फिर स्मरण में न रहेंगी; और मैं भविष्यद्वक्ताओं और अशुद्ध आत्मा को इस देश में से निकाल दूंगा।

2. The LORD All-Powerful says: When that time comes, I will get rid of every idol in the country, and they will be forgotten forever. I will also do away with their prophets and those evil spirits that control them.

3. और यदि कोई फिर भविष्यद्वााणी करे, तो उसके माता- पिता, जिन से वह उत्पन्न हुआ, उस से कहेंगे, तू जीवित न बचेगा, क्योंकि तू ने यहोवा के नाम से झूठ कहा है; सो जब वह भविष्यद्वाणी करे, तब उसके माता- पिता जिन से वह उत्पन्न हुआ उसको बेध डालेंगे।

3. If any such prophets ever appear again, their own parents must warn them that they will die for telling lies in my name--the name of the LORD. If those prophets don't stop speaking, their parents must then kill them with a sword.

4. उस समय हर एक भविष्यद्वक्ता भविष्यवाणी करते हुए अपने अपने दर्शन से लज्जित होंगे, और धोखा देने के लिये कम्बल का वस्त्रा न पहिनेंगे,

4. Those prophets will be ashamed of their so-called visions, and they won't deceive anyone by dressing like a true prophet.

5. वरन्तु वह कहेगा, मैं भविष्यद्वक्ता नहीं, किसान हूं; क्योंकि लड़कपन ही से मैं औरों का दास हूं।

5. Instead, they will say, 'I'm no prophet. I've been a farmer all my life.'

6. तब उस से यह पूछा जाएगा, तेरी छाती पर ये घाव कैसे हुए, तब वह कहेगा, ये वे ही हैं जो मेरे प्रेमियों के घर में मुझे लगे हैं।।

6. And if any of them are asked why they are wounded, they will answer, 'It happened at the house of some friends.'

7. सेनाओं के यहोवा की यह वाणी है, हे तलवार, मेरे ठहराए हुए चरवाहे के विरूद्ध अर्थात् जो पुरूष मेरा स्वजाति है, उसके विरूद्ध चल। तू उस चरवाहे को काट, तब भेड़- बकरियां तितर- बितर हो जाएंगी; और बच्चों पर मैं अपने हाथ बढ़ाऊंगा।

7. The LORD All-Powerful said: My sword, wake up! Attack my shepherd and friend. Strike down the shepherd! Scatter the little sheep, and I will destroy them.

8. यहोवा की यह भी वाणी है, कि इस देश के सारे निवासियों की दो तिहाई मार डाली जाएगाी और बची हुई तिहाई उस में बनी रहेगी।

8. Nowhere in the land will more than a third of them be left alive.

9. उस तिहाई को मैं आग में डालकर ऐसा निर्मल करूंगा, जैसा रूपा निर्मल किया जाता है, और ऐसा जाचूंगा जैसा सोना जांचा जाता है। वे मुझ से प्रार्थना किया करेंगे, और मैं उनकी सुनूंगा। मैं उनके विषय में कहूंगा, ये मेरी प्रजा हैं, और वे मेरे विषय में कहेंगे, यहोवा हमारा परमेश्वर है।।

9. Then I will purify them and put them to the test, just as gold and silver are purified and tested. They will pray in my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'You are my people,' and they will reply, 'You, LORD, are our God!'
