1. सचमुच मैं चुपचाप होकर परमेरश्वर की ओर मन लगाए हूं; मेरा उद्धार उसी से होता है।

1. To the excelletn musician Ieduthun. A Psalme of David. Yet my soule keepeth silence vnto God: of him commeth my saluation.

2. सचमुच वही, मेरी चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; मैं बहुत न डिगूंगा।।

2. Yet he is my strength and my saluation, and my defence: therefore I shall not much be mooued.

3. तुम कब तक एक पुरूष पर धावा करते रहोगे, कि सब मिलकर उसका घात करो? वह तो झुकी हुई भीत वा गिरते हुए बाड़े के समान है।

3. How long wil ye imagine mischiefe against a man? ye shalbe all slaine: ye shalbe as a bowed wall, or as a wall shaken.

4. सचमुच वे उसको, उसके ऊंचे पद से गिराने की सम्मति करते हैं; वे झूठ से प्रसन्न रहते हैं। मुंह से तो वे आशीर्वाद देते पर मन में कोसते हैं।।

4. Yet they consult to cast him downe from his dignitie: their delight is in lies, they blesse with their mouthes, but curse with their hearts. Selah.

5. हे मेरे मन, परमेश्वर के साम्हने चुपचाप रह, क्योंकि मेरी आशा उसी से है।

5. Yet my soule keepe thou silence vnto God: for mine hope is in him.

6. सचमुच वही मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; इसलिये मैं न डिगूंगा।

6. Yet is hee my strength, and my saluation, and my defence: therefore I shall not be mooued.

7. मेरा उद्धार और मेरी महिमा का आधार परमेश्वर है; मेरी दृढ़ चट्टान, और मेरा शरणस्थान परमेश्वर है।

7. In God is my saluation and my glory, the rocke of my strength: in God is my trust.

8. हे लोगो, हर समय उस पर भरोसा रखो; उस से अपने अपने मन की बातें खोलकर कहो; परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान है।

8. Trust in him alway, ye people: powre out your hearts before him, for God is our hope. Selah.

9. सचमुच नीच लोग तो अस्थाई, और बड़े लोग मिथ्या ही हैं; तौल में वे हलके निकलते हैं; वे सब के सब सांस से भी हलके हैं।

9. Yet the children of men are vanitie, the chiefe men are lies: to lay them vpon a balance they are altogether lighter then vanitie.

10. अन्धेर करने पर भरोसा मत रखो, और लूट पाट करने पर मत फूलो; चाहे धन सम्पति बढ़े, तौभी उस पर मन न लगाना।।

10. Trust not in oppression nor in robberie: be not vaine: if riches increase, set not your heart thereon.

11. परमेश्वर ने एक बार कहा है; और दो बार मैं ने यह सुना है: कि सामर्थ्य परमेश्वर का है।

11. God spake once or twise, I haue heard it, that power belongeth vnto God,

12. और हे प्रभु, करूणा भी तेरी है। क्योंकि तू एक एक जन को उसके काम के अनुसार फल देता है।।
