1. सचमुच मैं चुपचाप होकर परमेरश्वर की ओर मन लगाए हूं; मेरा उद्धार उसी से होता है।

1. My soule wayteth only vpon God, for of him commeth my helpe.

2. सचमुच वही, मेरी चट्टान और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; मैं बहुत न डिगूंगा।।

2. He only is my stregth, my saluacion, my defence, so yt I shal not greatly fall.

3. तुम कब तक एक पुरूष पर धावा करते रहोगे, कि सब मिलकर उसका घात करो? वह तो झुकी हुई भीत वा गिरते हुए बाड़े के समान है।

3. How longe wil ye ymagin myschefe agaynst euery man? ye shal be slayne all ye sorte of you: yee as a tottringe wall shal ye be, & like a broken hedge.

4. सचमुच वे उसको, उसके ऊंचे पद से गिराने की सम्मति करते हैं; वे झूठ से प्रसन्न रहते हैं। मुंह से तो वे आशीर्वाद देते पर मन में कोसते हैं।।

4. Their deuyce is only how to put him out, their delyte is i lyes: they geue good wordes wt their mouth but curse wt their herte.

5. हे मेरे मन, परमेश्वर के साम्हने चुपचाप रह, क्योंकि मेरी आशा उसी से है।

5. Sela. Neuertheles, my soule abydeth only vpon God, for he is my God.

6. सचमुच वही मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा उद्धार है, वह मेरा गढ़ है; इसलिये मैं न डिगूंगा।

6. He only is my stregth, my saluacion, my defence: so yt I shal not fall.

7. मेरा उद्धार और मेरी महिमा का आधार परमेश्वर है; मेरी दृढ़ चट्टान, और मेरा शरणस्थान परमेश्वर है।

7. In God is my health, my glory, my might, & in God is my trust.

8. हे लोगो, हर समय उस पर भरोसा रखो; उस से अपने अपने मन की बातें खोलकर कहो; परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान है।

8. Oput yor trust in him allwaye (ye people) poure out yor hertes before him, for God is oure hope.

9. सचमुच नीच लोग तो अस्थाई, और बड़े लोग मिथ्या ही हैं; तौल में वे हलके निकलते हैं; वे सब के सब सांस से भी हलके हैं।

9. Sela. As for men, they are but vayne, me are disceatfull: vpo the weightes they are al together lighter then vanite itself.

10. अन्धेर करने पर भरोसा मत रखो, और लूट पाट करने पर मत फूलो; चाहे धन सम्पति बढ़े, तौभी उस पर मन न लगाना।।

10. O trust not in wronge & robbery, geue not yor selues vnto vanite: yf riches increase, set not yor herte vpon them.

11. परमेश्वर ने एक बार कहा है; और दो बार मैं ने यह सुना है: कि सामर्थ्य परमेश्वर का है।

11. God spake once a worde, twyse haue I herde the same: that power belongeth vnto God.

12. और हे प्रभु, करूणा भी तेरी है। क्योंकि तू एक एक जन को उसके काम के अनुसार फल देता है।।
