1. तब सब यहूदी प्रजा ने उज्जिरयाह को लेकर जो सोलह वर्ष का था, उसके पिता अमस्याह के स्थान पर राजा बनाया।

1. Then all the people of Iuda toke Osias, which was syxtene yeare olde, and made him kynge in steade of his father Amasias.

2. जब राजा अमस्याह अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया तब उज्जिरयाह ने एलोत नगर को दृढ़ कर के यहूदा में फिर मिला लिया।

2. He builded Eloth, & broughte it agayne vnto Iuda, after that the kynge was fallen on slepe with his fathers.

3. जब उज्जिरयाह राज्य करने लगा, तब वह सोलह वर्ष का था। और यरूशलेम में बावन वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा, और उसकी माता का नाम यकील्याह था, जो यरूशलेम की थी।

3. Sixtene yeare olde was Osias whan he was made kinge, and reigned two and fiftie yeare at Ierusale. His mothers name was Iechalia of Ierusalem.

4. जैसे उसका पिता अमस्याह, किया करता था वैसा ही उसने भी किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक था।

4. And he did right in the syght of the LORDE, as his father Amasias had done,

5. और जकर्याह के दिनों में जो परमेश्वर के दर्शन के विषय समझ रखता था, वह परमेश्वर की खोज में लगा रहता था; और जब तक वह यहोवा की खोज में लगा रहा, तब तक परमेश्वर उसको भाग्यवान किए रहा।

5. and soughte God as longe as Zacharias lyued, which taughte in the visyons of God: and as longe as he sought the LORDE, God made him to prospere.

6. तब उस ने जाकर पलिश्तियों से युठ्ठ किया, और गत, यब्ने और अशदोद की शहरपनाहें गिरा दीं, और अशदोद के आसपास और पलिश्तियों के बीच में नगर बसाए।

6. For he wente forth, and foughte agaynst the Philistynes, and brake downe ye walles of Gath, and the walles of Iabne, and the walles of A?dod, and buylded cities aboute A?dod, & amonge the Philistynes.

7. और परमेश्वर ने पलिश्तियों और गूर्बालवासी, अरबियों और मूनियों के विरूद्ध उसकी सहायता की।

7. For God helped him agaynst the Philistines, against the Arabians, agaynst them of GurBaal, & agaynst the Meunites.

8. और अम्मोनी उज्जिरयाह को भेंट देने लगे, वरन उसकी कीर्त्ति मिस्र के सिवाने तक भी फैल गई, क्योंकि वह अत्यन्त सामथ हो गया था।

8. And ye Ammonites gaue Osias presentes, & his name came in to Egipte: for he was exceadinge stronge.

9. फिर उज्जिरयाह ने यरूशलेम में कोने के फाटक और तराई के फाटक और शहरपनाह के मोड़ पर गुम्मट बनवाकर दृढ़ किए।

9. And Osias buylded towres at Ierusalem vpon the cornerporte, and on the valley gate, and on other corners, and made them stronge.

10. और उसके बहुत जानवर थे इसलिये उस ने जंगल में और नीचे के देश और चौरस देश में गुम्मट बनवाए और बहुत से हौद खुदवाए, और पहाड़ों पर और कर्म्मेल में उसके किसान और दाख की बारियों के माली थे, क्योंकि वह खेती किसानी करनेवाला था।

10. He buylded castels also in the wyldernesse, and dygged many welles: for he had many catell, both in the medewes and in the playnes, hu?bandmen also and wynegardeners on the mountaynes and on Carmel: for he delyted in hu?bandrye.

11. फिर उज्जिरयाह के योठ्ठाओं की एक सेना थी जिनकी गिनती यीएल मुंशी और मासेयाह सरदार, हनन्याह नामक राजा के एक हाकिम की आज्ञा से करते थे, और उसके अनुसार वह दल बान्धकर लड़ने को जाती थी।

11. And Osias had an hoost of men of warre goynge forth to the battaill, which were nobred vnder the hande of Ieiel the scrybe & of Maesa the offycer, vnder the hade of Hanania of the kynges rulers.

12. पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य मुख्य पुरूष जो शूरवीर थे, उनकी पूरी गिनती दो हजार छे सौ थी।

12. And the nombre of the chefe fathers amonge the stronge me of warre, was two thousande and syxe hundreth.

13. और उनके अधिकार में तीन लाख साढ़े सात हजार की एक बड़ी बड़ी सेना थी, जो शत्रुओं के विरूद्ध राजा की सहायता करने को बड़े बल से युठ्ठ करनेवाले थे।

13. And vnder the hande of the hoost thre hundreth thousande, and seuen thousande and fyue hundreth mete for the battayll, in the strength of an armye to helpe the kinge agaynst the enemies.

14. इनके लिये अर्थात् पूरी सेना के लिये उज्जिरयाह ने ढालें, भाले, टोप, झिलम, धनुष और गोफन के पत्थर तैयार किए।

14. And Osias prepared for all the hoost, shyldes, speares, helmettes, brestplates, bowes and slyngstones.

15. फिर उस ने यरूशलेम में गुम्मटों और कंगूरों पर रखने को चतुर पुरूषों के निकाले हुए यन्त्रा भी बनवाए जिनके द्वारा तीर और बड़े बड़े पत्थर फेंके जाते थे। और उसकी कीर्त्ति दूर दूर तक फैल गई, क्योंकि उसे अदभुत यहायता यहां तक मिली कि वह सामथ हो गया।

15. And at Ierusale he made ordinaunce coningly, to be vpon the towres and in the pynnacles, to shute arowes and greate stones. And the fame of him came farre abrode, because he was specially helped, tyll he became mightie.

16. परन्तु जब वह सामथ हो गया, तब उसका मन फूल उठा; और उस ने बिगड़कर अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का विश्वासघात किया, अर्थात् वह धूप की वेदी पर धूम जलाने को यहोवा के मन्दिर में घुस गया।

16. And whan his power was greate, his hert arose to his awne destruccion: for he trespaced agaynst the LORDE his God, and wente in to the temple of the LORDE, to burne incense vpon the altare of incense.

17. और अजर्याह याजक उसके बाद भीतर गया, और उसके संग यहोवा के अस्सी याजक भी जो वीर थे गए।

17. But Asarias the prest wente after him, and foure score prestes with him, valeaunt men,

18. और उन्हों ने उज्जिरयाह राजा का साम्हना करके उस से कहा, हे उज्जिरयाह यहोवा के लिये धूप जलाना तेरा काम नहीं, हारून की सन्तान अर्थात् उन याजकों ही का काम है, जो धूप जलाने को पवित्रा किए गए हैं। तू पवित्रास्थान से निकल जा; तू ने विश्वासघात किया है, यहोवा परमेश्वर की ओर से यह तेरी महिमा का कारण न होगा।

18. and withstode kynge Osias, and saide vnto him: It belongeth not vnto thy offyce (Osias) to burne incense vnto the LORDE, but vnto the prestes belongeth it, euen vnto the children of Aaron, which are halowed to burne incense. Go forth out of the Sanctuary: for thou offendest, and it shall be no worshippe vnto the before God the LORDE.

19. तब उज्जिरयाह धूप जलाने को धूपदान हाथ में लिये हुए झुंझला उठा। और वह याजकों पर झुंझला रहा था, कि याजकों के देखते देखते यहोवा के भवन में धूप की वेदी के पास ही उसके माथे पर कोढ़ प्रगट हुआ।

19. And Osias was wroth, and had a censoure in his hande. And whyle he murmured with the prestes, the leprosy spronge out of his foreheade in the presence of the prestes in the house of the LORDE before the altare of incense.

20. और अजर्याह महायाजक और सब याजकों ने उस पर दृष्टि की, और क्या देखा कि उसके माथे पर कोढ़ निकला है ! तब उत्हों ने उसको वहां से झटपट निकाल दिया, वरन यह जानकर कि यहोवा ने मुझे कोढ़ी कर दिया है, उस ने आप बाहर जाने को उतावली की।

20. And Asarias the chefe prest turned his heade towarde him, and so dyd all the prestes, and beholde, he was leper in his foreheade. And they put him out from thence. Yee he made haist himselfe to go forth, for his plage came of the LORDE.

21. और उज्जिरयाह राजा मरने के दिन तक कोढ़ी रहा, और कोढ़ के कारण अलग एक घर में रहता था, वह तो यहोवा के भवन में जाने न पाता था। और उसका पुत्रा योताम राजघराने के काम पर नियुक्त किया गया और वह लोगों का न्याय भी करता था।

21. Thus became Osias ye kynge a leper vnto his death, and dwelt full of leprosye in a fre house: for he was put out of the house of the LORDE. But Ioram his sonne had the ouersight of the kynges house, and iudged the people in the londe.

22. आदि से अन्त तक उज्जिरयाह के और कामों का वर्णन तो आमोस के पुत्रा यशायाह नबी ने लिखा है।

22. What more there is to saie of Osias (both first and last) Esay the sonne of Amos hath wrytten it.

23. निदान उज्जिरयाह अपने पुरखाओं के संग सो गया, और उसको उसके पुरखाओं के निकट राजाओं के मिट्टी देने के खेत में मिट्टी दी गई क्योंकि उन्हों ने कहा, कि वह कोढ़ी है। और उसका पुत्रा योताम उसके स्थान पर राज्य करने लगा।

23. And Osias fell on slepe wt his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the pece of grounde beside ye kynges sepulcres: for they sayde: He is leporous. And Iotham his sonne was kynge in his steade.
