1. इस्राएलियों के मिस्र देश से निकलने के चार सौ अस्सीवें वर्ष के बाद जो सुलैमान के इस्राएल पर राज्य करने का चौथा वर्ष था, उसके जीव नाम दूसरे महीने में वह यहोवा का भवन बनाने लगा।

1. And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Zif, which {is} the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

2. और जो भवन राजा सुलैमान ने यहोवा के लिये बनाया उसकी लम्बाई साठ हाथ, चौड़ाई बीस हाथ और ऊंचाई तीस हाथ की थी।

2. And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length of it {was} sixty cubits, and the breadth of it twenty {cubits}, and the hight of it thirty cubits.

3. और भवन के मन्दिर के साम्हने के ओसारे की लम्बाई बीस हाथ की थी, अर्थात् भवन की चौड़ाई के बराबर थी, और ओसारे की चौड़ाई जो भवन के साम्हने थी, वह दस हाथ की थी।

3. And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits {was} the length of it, according to the breadth of the house; {and} ten cubits {was} the breadth of it, before the house.

4. फिर उस ने भवन में स्थिर झिलमिलीदार खिड़कियां बनाई।

4. And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

5. और उस ने भवन के आसपास की भीतों से सटे हुए अर्थात् मन्दिर और दर्शन- स्थान दोनों भीतों के आसपास उस ने मंजिलें और कोठरियां बनाई।

5. And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, {against} the walls of the house round about, {both} of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:

6. सब से नीचेवाली मंजिल की चौड़ाई पांच हाथ, और बीचवाली की छ : हाथ, और ऊपरवाली की सात हाथ की थी, क्योंकि उस ने भवन के आसपास भीत को बाहर की ओर कुस दार बनाया था इसलिये कि कड़ियां भवन की भीतों को पकड़े हुए न हों।

6. The nethermost chamber {was} five cubits broad, and the middle {was} six cubits broad, and the third {was} seven cubits broad: for without {in the wall} of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that {the beams} should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

7. और बनते समय भपन ऐसे पत्थरों का बनाया गया, जो वहां ले आने से पहिले गढ़कर ठीक किए गए थे, और भवन के बनते समय हथैड़े वसूली वा और किसी प्रकार के लोहे के औजार का शब्द कभी सुनाई नहीं पड़ा।

7. And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither; so that there was neither hammer nor ax {nor} any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

8. बाहर की बीचवाली कोठरियों का द्वार भवन की दाहिनी अलंग में था, और लोग चक्करदार सीढ़ियों पर होकर बीचवाली कोठरियों में जाते, और उन से ऊपरवाली कोठरियों पर जाया करते थे।

8. The door for the middle chamber {was} in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle {chamber}, and out of the middle into the third;

9. उस ने भवन को बनाकर पूरा किया, और उसकी छत देवदारू की कड़ियों और तख्तों से बनी थी।

9. So he built the house and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.

10. और पूरे भवन से लगी हुई जो मंज़िलें उस ने बनाई वह पांच हाथ ऊंची थीं, और वे देवदारू की कड़िय़ों के द्वारा भवन से मिलाई गई थीं।

10. And {then} he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

11. तब यहोवा का यह वचन सुलैमान के पास पहुंचा, कि यह भवन जो नू बना रहा है,

11. And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

12. यदि तू मेरी विधियों पर चलेगा, और मेरे नियमों को मानेगा, और मेरी सब आज्ञाओं पर चलता हुआ उनका पालन करता रहेगा, तो जो वचन मैं ने तेरे विषय में तेरे पिता दाऊद को दिया था उसको मैं पूरा करूंगा।

12. {Concerning} this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spoke to David thy father:

13. और मैं इस्राएलियों के मध्य में निवास करूंगा, और अपनी इस्राएली प्रजा को न तजूंगा।

13. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

14. सो सुलैमान ने भवन को बनाकर पूरा किया।

14. So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

15. और उस ने भवन की भीतों पर भीतरवार देवदारू की तख्ताबंदी की; और भवन के फ़र्श से छत तक भीतों में भीतरवार लकड़ी की तख्ताबंदी की, और भवन के फ़र्श को उस ने सनोवर के तख्तों से बनाया।

15. And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: {and} he covered {them} on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

16. और भवन की पिछली अलंग में भी उस ने बीस हाथ की दूरी पर फ़र्श से ले भीतों के ऊपर तक देवदारू की तख्ताबंदी की; इस प्रकार उस ने परमपवित्रा स्थान के लिये भवन की एक भीतरी कोठरी बनाई।

16. And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built {them} for it within, {even} for the oracle, {even} for the most holy {place}.

17. उसके साम्हने का भवन अर्थात् मन्दिर की लम्बाई चालीस हाथ की थी।

17. And the house, that {is}, the temple before it, was forty cubits {long}.

18. और भवन की भीतों पर भीतरवार देवदारू की लकड़ी की तख्ताबंदी थी, और उस में इत्द्रायन और खिले हुए फूल खुदे थे, सब देवदारू ही था : पत्भर कुछ नहीं दिखाई पड़ता था।

18. And the cedar of the house within {was} carved with knobs and open flowers: all {was} cedar; there was no stone seen.

19. भवन के भीतर उस ते एक दर्शन स्थान यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक रखने के लिये तैयार किया।

19. And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

20. और उस दर्शन- स्थान की लम्बाई चौड़ाई और ऊंचाई बीस बीस हाथ की थी; और उस ने उस पर चोखा सोना मढ़वाया और वेदी की तख्ताबंदी देवदारू से की।

20. And the oracle in the forepart {was} twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the hight of it, and he overlaid it with pure gold; and {so} covered the altar {which was of} cedar.

21. फिर सुलैमान ने भवन को भीतर भीतर चोखे सोने से मढ़वाया, और दर्शन- स्थान के साम्हने सोने की सांकलें लगाई; और उसको भी सोने से मढ़वाया।

21. So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

22. और उस ने पूरे भवन को सोने से मढ़वाकर उसका पूरा काम निपटा दिया। और दर्शन- स्थान की पूरी वेदी को भी उस ने सोने से मढ़वाया।

22. And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that {was} by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

23. दर्शन- स्थान में उस ने दस दस हाथ ऊंचे जलपाई की लकड़ी के दो करूब बना रखे।

23. And within the oracle he made two cherubim {of} olive tree, {each} ten cubits high.

24. एक करूब का एक पंख पांच हाथ का था, और उसका दूसरा पंख भी पांच हाथ का था, एक पंख के सिरे से, दूसरे पंख के सिरे तक दस हाथ थे।

24. And five cubits {was} the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the other {were} ten cubits.

25. और दूसरा करूब भी दस हाथ का था; दोनों करूब एक ही नाप और एक ही आकार के थे।

25. And the other cherub {was} ten cubits: both the cherubim {were} of one measure and one size.

26. एक करूब की ऊंचाई दस हाथ की, और दूसरे की भी इतनी ही थी।

26. The hight of the one cherub {was} ten cubits, and so {was it} of the other cherub.

27. और उस ने करूबों को भीतरवाले स्थान में धरवा दिया; और करूबों के पंख ऐसे फैले थे, कि एक करूब का एक पंख, एक भीत से, और दूसरे का दूसरा पंख, दूसरी भीत से लगा हुआ था, फिर उनके दूसरे दो पंख भवन के मध्य में एक दूसरे से लगे हुए थे।

27. And he set the cherubim within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubim, so that the wing of the one touched the {one} wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

28. और करूबों को उस ने सोने से मढ़वाया।

28. And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

29. और उस ने भवन की भीतों में बाहर और भीतर चारों ओर करूब, खजूर और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए।

29. And he carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim, and palm trees, and open flowers, within and without.

30. और भवन के भीतर और बाहरवाले फर्श उस ने सोने से मढ़वाए।

30. And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

31. और दर्शन- स्थान के द्वार पर उस ने जलपाई की लकड़ी के किवाड़ लगाए और चौखट के सिरहाने और बाजुओं की का पांचवां भाग थी।

31. And for the entrance of the oracle he made doors {of} olive tree: the lintel {and} side-posts {were} a fifth part {of the wall}.

32. दोनों किवाड़ जलपाई की लकड़ी के थे, और उस ने उन में करूब, खजूर के वृक्ष और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए और सोने से मढ़ा और करूबों और खजूरों के ऊपर सोना मढ़वा दिया गया।

32. The two doors also {were of} olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubim, and palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid {them} with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubim, and upon the palm trees.

33. असी की रीति उस ने मन्दिर के द्वार के लिये भी जलपाई की लकड़ी के चौखट के बाजू बनाए और वह भवन की चौड़ाई की चौथाई थी।

33. So also he made for the door of the temple posts {of} olive tree a fourth part {of the wall}.

34. दोनों किवाड़ सनोवर की लकड़ी के थे, जिन में से एक किवाड़ के दो पल्ले थे; और दूसरे किवाड़ के दो पल्ले थे जो पलटकर दुहर जाते थे।

34. And the two doors {were of} fir tree: the two leaves of the one door {were} folding, and the two leaves of the other door {were} folding.

35. और उन पर भी उस ने करूब और खजूर के वृक्ष और खिले हुए फूल खुदवाए और खुदे हुए काम पर उस ने सोना मढ़वाया।

35. And he carved {thereon} cherubim, and palm trees, and open flowers; and covered {them} with gold, fitted upon the carved work.

36. और उस ने भीतरवाले आंगन के घेरे को गढ़े हुए पत्थरों के तीन र :, और एक परत देवदारू की कड़ियां लगा कर बनाया।

36. And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams.

37. चौथे वर्ष के जीव नाम महीने में यहोवा के भवन की नेव डाली गई।

37. In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:

38. और ग्यारहवें वर्ष के बूल नाम आठवें महीने में, वह भवन उस सब समेत जो उस में उचित समझा गया बन चुका : इस रीति सुलैमान को उसके बनाने में सात वर्ष लगे।

38. And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul (which {is} the eighth month) was the house finished throughout all its parts, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
