1. जब राहेल ने देखा, कि याकूब के लिये मुझ से कोई सन्तान नहीं होता, तब वह अपनी बहिन से डाह करने लगी : और याकूब से कहा, मुझे भी सन्तान दे, नहीं तो मर जाऊंगी।

1. When Rahel sawe that she bare Iacob no childern she enuied hir sister and sayde vnto Iacob: geue me childern or ells I am but deed.

2. तब याकूब ने राहेल से क्रोधित होकर कहा, क्या मैं परमेश्वर हूं? तेरी कोख तो उसी ने बन्द कर रखी है।

2. Than was Iacob wrooth with Rahel saynge: Am I in godes steade which kepeth fro the the frute of thi wobe?

3. राहेल ने कहा, अच्छा, मेरी लौंडी बिल्हा हाजिर है: उसी के पास जा, वह मेरे घुटनों पर जनेगी, और उसके द्वारा मेरा भी घर बसेगा।

3. The she sayde: here is my mayde Bilha: go in vnto her that she maye beare vpo my lappe that I maye be encreased by her.

4. तो उस ने उसे अपनी लौंडी बिल्हा को दिया, कि वह उसकी पत्नी हो; और याकूब उसके पास गया।

4. And she gaue him Bilha hir hadmayde to wife. And Iacob wet in vnto her

5. और बिल्हा गर्भवती हुई और याकूब से उसके एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ।

5. And Bilha conceaued and bare Iacob a sonne.

6. और राहेल ने कहा, परमेश्वर ने मेरा न्याय चुकाया और मेरी सुनकर मुझे एक पुत्रा दिया : इसलिये उस ने उसका नाम दान रखा।

6. Than sayde Rahel. God hath geuen sentece on my syde and hath also herde my voyce and hath geuen me a sonne. Therfore called she him Dan.

7. और राहेल की लौंडी बिल्हा फिर गर्भवती हुई और याकूब से एक पुत्रा और उत्पन्न हुआ।

7. And Bilha Rahels mayde coceaued agayne and bare Iacob a nother sonne.

8. तब राहेल ने कहा, मैं ने अपनी बहिन के साथ बड़े बल से लिपटकर मल्लयुद्ध किया और अब जीत गई : सो उस ने उसका नाम नप्ताली रखा।

8. And Rahel sayde. God is turned and I haue made achaunge with my sister and haue gote ye vpper hade. And she called his name Nepthali

9. जब लिआ: ने देखा कि मैं जनने से रहित हो गई हूं, तब उस ने अपनी लौंडी जिल्पा को लेकर याकूब की पत्नी होने के लिये दे दिया।

9. Whe Lea sawe that she had left bearinge she toke Silpha hir mayde and gaue her Iacob to wiffe.

10. और लिआ: की लौंडी जिल्पा के भी याकूब से एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ।

10. And Silpha Leas made bare Iacob a sonne.

11. तब लिआ: ने कहा, अहो भाग्य! सो उस ने उसका नाम गाद रखा।

11. Than sayde Lea: good lucke: and called his name Gad.

12. फिर लिआ: की लौंडी जिल्पा के याकूब से एक और पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ।

12. And Silpha Leas mayde bare Iacob another sonne.

13. तब लिआ: ने कहा, मै धन्य हूं; निश्चय स्त्रियां मुझे धन्य कहेंगी : सो उस ने उसका नाम आशेर रखा।

13. Tha sayd Lea: happy am I for the doughters will call me blessed. And called his name Asser.

14. गेहूं की कटनी के दिनों में रूबेन को मैदान में दूदाफल मिले, और वह उनको अपनी माता लिआ: के पास ले गया, तब राहेल ने लिआ: से कहा, अपने पुत्रा के दूदाफलों में से कुछ मुझे दे।

14. And Rube wet out in the wheat haruest and foude mandragoras in the feldes and brought the vnto his mother Lea. Than sayde Rahel to Lea geue me of thy sonnes madragoras.

15. उस ने उस से कहा, तू ने जो मेरे पति को ले लिया है सो क्या छोटी बात है ? अब क्या तू मेरे पुत्रा के दूदाफल भी लेने चाहती है? राहेल ने कहा, अच्छा, तेरे पुत्रा के दूदाफलों के बदले वह आज रात को तेरे संग सोएगा।

15. And Lea answered: is it not ynough yt thou hast take awaye my housbode but woldest take awaye my sonnes mandragoras also? Than sayde Rahel well let him slepe with the this nyghte for thy sonnes mandragoras.

16. सो सांझ को जब याकूब मैदान से आ रहा था, तब लिआ: उस से भेंट करने को निकली, और कहा, तुझे मेरे ही पास आना होगा, क्योंकि मै ने अपने पुत्रा के दूदाफल देकर तुझे सचमुच मोल लिया। तब वह उस रात को उसी के संग सोया।

16. And whe Iacob came from the feldes at euen Lea went out to mete him and sayde: come into me for I haue bought the with my sonnes mandragoras.And he slepte with her that nyghte.

17. तब परमेश्वर ने लिआ: की सुनी, सो वह गर्भवती हुई और याकूब से उसके पांचवां पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ।

17. And God herde Lea yt she coceaued and bare vnto Iacob yt .v. sonne.

18. तब लिआ: ने कहा, में ने जो अपने पति को अपनी लौंडी दी, इसलिये परमेश्वर ने मुझे मेरी मंजूरी दी है : सो उस ने उसका नाम इस्साकार रखा।

18. Than sayde Lea. God hath geue me my rewarde because I gaue my mayde to my housbod and she called him Isachar.

19. और लिआ: फिर गर्भवती हुई और याकूब से उसके छठवां पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ।

19. And Lea coceaued yet agayne and bare Iacob the sexte sonne.

20. तब लिआ: ने कहा, परमेश्वर ने मुझे अच्छा दान दिया है; अब की बार मेरा पति मेरे संग बना रहेगा, क्योंकि मेरे उस से छ: पुत्रा उत्पन्न चुके हैं : से उस ने उसका नाम जबूलून रखा।

20. Than sayde she: God hath endewed me with a good dowry. Now will my housbond dwell with me because I haue borne him .vi. sonnes: and called his name Zabulo.

21. तत्पश्चात् उसके एक बेटी भी हुई, और उस ने उसका नाम दीना रखा।

21. After that she bare a doughter and called her Dina.

22. और परमेश्वर ने राहेल की भी सुधि ली, और उसकी सुनकर उसकी कोख खोली।

22. And God remebred Rahel herde her and made her frutefull:

23. सो वह गर्भवती हुई और उसके एक पुत्रा उत्पन्न हुआ; सो उस ने कहा, परमेश्वर ने मेरी नामधराई को दूर कर दिया है।

23. so that she coceaued and bare a sonne and sayde God hath take awaye my rebuke.

24. सो उस ने यह कहकर उसका नाम यूसुफ रखा, कि परमेश्वर मुझे एक पुत्रा और भी देगा।

24. And she called his name Ioseph saynge The lorde geue me yet a nother sonne.

25. जब राहेल से यूसुफ उत्पन्न हुआ, तब याकूब ने लाबान से कहा, मुझे विदा कर, कि मैं अपने देश और स्थान को जाऊं।

25. As soone as Rahel had borne Ioseph Iacob sayde to Laban: Sede me awaye yt I maye goo vnto myne awne place and cutre

26. मेरी स्त्रियां और मेरे लड़के- बाले, जिनके लिये मैं ने तेरी सेवा की है, उन्हें मुझे दे, कि मैं चला जाऊं; तू तो जानता है कि मैं ने तेरी कैसी सेवा की है।

26. geue me my wives and my childern for whome I haue serued the and let me goo; for thou knowest what seruyce I haue done the.

27. लाबान ने उस से कहा, यदि तेरी दृष्टि में मैं ने अनुग्रह पाया है, तो रह जा : क्योंकि मैं ने अनुभव से जान लिया है, कि यहोवा ने तेरे कारण से मुझे आशीष दी है।

27. Than sayde Laban vnto hi: If I haue fownde fauoure in thy syghte (for I suppose yt the LORde hath blessed me for thy sake)

28. फिर उस ने कहा, तू ठीक बता कि मैं तुझ को क्या दूं, और मैं उसे दूंगा।

28. appoynte what thy rewarde shalbe and I will geue it ye.

29. उस ने उस से कहा तू जानता है कि मैं ने तेरी कैसी सेवा की, और तेरे पशु मेरे पास किस प्रकार से रहे।

29. But he sayde vnto hym thou knowest what seruyce I haue done ye and in what takynge thy catell haue bene vnder me:

30. मेरे अपने से पहिले वे कितने थे, और अब कितने हो गए हैं; और यहोवा ने मेरे आने पर तुझे तो आशीष दी है : पर मैं अपने घर का काम कब करने पाऊंगा?

30. for it was but litle that thou haddest before I came and now it is encreased in to a multitude and the LORDE hath blessed the for my sake.But now when shall I make provysion for myne awne house also?

31. उस ने फिर कहा, मैं तुझे क्या दूं? याकूब ने कहा, तू मुझे कुछ न दे; यदि तू मेरे लिये एक काम करे, तो मै फिर तेरी भेड़- बकरियों को चराऊंगा, और उनकी रक्षा करूंगा।

31. And he sayde: what shall I geue the? And Iacob answerd: thou shalt geue me nothinge at all yf thou wilt do this one thinge for me: And then will I turne agayne and fede thy shepe and kepe them.

32. मैं आज तेरी सब भेड़- बकरियों के बीच होकर निकलूंगा, और जो भेड़ वा बकरी चित्तीवाली वा चित्कबरी हो, और जो भेड़ काली हो, और जो बकरी चित्कबरी वा चित्तीवाली हो, उन्हें मैं अलग कर रखूंगा : और मेरी मजदूरी में वे ही ठहरेंगी।

32. I will go aboute all thy shepe this daye and separate fro the all the shepe that are spotted and of dyverse coloures and all blacke shepe amonge the lambes and the partie and spotted amonge the kyddes: And then such shalbe my rewarde.

33. और जब आगे को मेरी मजदूरी की चर्चा तेरे साम्हने चले, तब धर्म की यही साक्षी होगी; अर्थात् बकरियों में से जो कोई न चित्तीवाली न चित्कबरी हो, और भेड़ों में से जो कोई काली न हो, सो यदि मेरे पास निकलें, तो चोरी की ठहरेंगी।

33. So shall my rightwesnes answere for me: when the tyme commeth that I shall receaue my rewarde of the: So that what soeuer is not speckeld and partie amonge the gootes and blacke amonge the lambes let that be theft with me.

34. तब लाबान ने कहा, तेरे कहने के अनुसार हो।

34. Than sayde Laban: loo I am contete that it be acordinge as thou hast sayde.

35. सो उस ने उसी दिन सब धारीवाले और चित्कबरे बकरों, और सब चित्तीवाली और चित्कबरी बकरियों को, अर्थात् जिन में कुछ उजलापन था, उनको और सब काली भेड़ों को भी अलग करके अपने पुत्रों के हाथ सौप दिया।

35. And he toke out that same daye the he gootes that were partie and of dyuerse coloures and all the she gootes that were spotted and partie coloured and all that had whyte in the and all the blacke amonge the lambes: ad put the in the kepinge of his sonnes

36. और उस ने अपने और याकूब के बीच में तीन दिन के मार्ग का अन्तर ठहराया : सो याकूब लाबान की भेड़- बकरियों को चराने लगा।

36. and sett thre dayes ourney ibetwixte hiselfe and Iacob. And so Iacob kepte ye rest of Labas shepe.

37. और याकूब ने चनार, और बादाम, और अर्मोन वृक्षों की हरी हरी छड़ियां लेकर, उनके छिलके कहीं कहीं छीलके, उन्हें धारीदार बना दिया, ऐसी कि उन छड़ियों की सफेदी दिखाई देने लगी।

37. Iacob toke roddes of grene popular hasell and of chestnottrees and pilled whyte strakes in the and made the white apere in the staues:

38. और तब छीली हुई छड़ियों को भेड़- बकरियों के साम्हने उनके पानी पीने के कठौतों में खड़ा किया; और जब वे पानी पीने के लिये आई तब गाभिन हो गई।

38. And he put the staues which he had pilled eue before ye shepe in the gutters and watrynge troughes whe the shepe came to drynke: yt they shulde coceaue whe they came to drynke.

39. और छड़ियों के साम्हने गाभिन होकर, भेड़- बकरियां धारीवाले, चित्तीवाले और चित्कबरे बच्चे जनीं।

39. And the shepe coceaued before the staues and brought forth straked spotted and partie.

40. तब याकूब ने भेड़ों के बच्चों को अलग अलग किया, और लाबान की भेड़- बकरियों के मुंह को चित्तीवाले और सब काले बच्चों की ओर कर दिया; और अपने झुण्ड़ों को उन से अलग रखा, और लाबान की भेड़- बकरियों से मिलने न दिया।

40. The Iacob parted the labes and turned the faces of the shepe toward spotted thinges and toward all maner of blacke thinges thorow out the flockes of Laba. And he made him flockes of his owne by the selfe which he put not vnto the flockes of Laba.

41. और जब जब बलवन्त भेड़- बकरियां गाभिन होती थी, तब तब याकूब उन छड़ियों को कठौतों मे उनके साम्हने रख देता था; जिस से वे छड़ियों को देखती हुई गाभिन हो जाएं।

41. And allwaye in the first buckinge tyme of the shepe Iacob put the staues before the shepe in the gutters yt they myghte conceaue before the staues

42. पर जब निर्बल भेड़- बकरियां गाभिन होती थी, तब वह उन्हें उनके आगे नहीं रखता था। इस से निर्बल निर्बल लाबान की रही, और बलवन्त बलवन्त याकूब की हो गई।

42. But in the latter buckynge tyme he put them not there: so the last brode was Labas and the first Iacobs.

43. सो वह पुरूष अत्यन्त धनाढय हो गया, और उसके बहुत सी भेड़- बकरियां, और लौंडियां और दास और ऊंट और गदहे हो गए।।

43. And the man became excedynge ryche and had many shepe maydeseruauntes menseruauntes camels and asses.
