6. And I saw the wife drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesu. And when I saw her: I wondered with great marvel.

7. उस स्वर्गदूत ने मुझ से कहा; तू क्यों चकित हुआ? मैं इस स्त्री, और उस पशु का, जिस पर वह सवार है, और जिस के सात सिर और दस सींग हैं, तुझे भेद बताया हूं।

7. And the angel said unto me: wherefore marvellest thou? I will shew thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that beareth her, which hath seven heads, and ten horns.

8. The beast that thou seest, was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and shall go into perdition, and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder (whose names are not written in the book of life from he beginning of the world) when they behold the beast that was, and is not.

9. उस बुद्धि के लिये जिस में ज्ञान है यही अवसर है, वे सातों सिर सात पहाड़ हैं, जिन पर वह स्त्री बैठी है।

9. And here is a mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth:

10. और वे सात राजा भी हैं, पांच तो हो चुके हैं, और एक अभी है; और एक अब तक आया नहीं, और जब आएगा, तो कुछ समय तक उसका रहना भी अवश्य है।

10. they are also seven kings. Five are fallen, and one is, and another is not yet come. When he cometh he must continue a space.

11. और जो पशु पहिले था, और अब नहीं, वह आप आठवां है; और उन सातों में से उत्पन्न हुआ, और विनाश में पड़ेगा।

11. And the beast that was, and is not, is even the eighth, and is one of the seven, and shall go into destruction.

12. और जो दस सींग तू ने देखे वे दस राजा हैं; जिन्हों ने अब तक राज्य नहीं पाया; पर उस पशु के साथ घड़ी भर के लिये राजाओं का सा अधिकार पाएंगे।

12. And the ten horns which thou seest,(sawest) are ten kings, which have received no(not yet received) kingdom, but shall receive power as kings at one hour with the beast.

13. ये सब एक मन होंगे, और वे अपनी अपनी सामर्थ और अधिकार उस पशु को देंगे।

13. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14. ये मेम्ने से लड़ेंगे, और मेम्ना उन पर जय पाएगा; क्योंकि वह प्रभुओं का प्रभु, और राजाओं का राजा है: और जो बुलाए हुए, और चुने हुए, ओर विश्वासी उसके साथ हैं, वे भी जय पाएंगे।

17. For God hath put in their hearts, to fulfil his will, and to do with one consent, for to give her kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God be fulfilled.

18. और वह स्त्री, जिस तू ने देखा है वह बड़ा नगर है, जो पृथ्वी के राजाओं पर राज्य करता है।।

18. And the woman (which) thou sawest, is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
