1. Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of YHWH and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

2. And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3. यदि कोई और ही प्रकार का उपदेश देना है; और खरी बातों को, अर्थात् हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह की बातों को और उस उपदेश को नहीं मानता, जो भक्ति के अनुसार है।

3. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Master Yahushua the Messiah, and to the doctrine which is according to reverence;

4. तो वह अभिमानी हो गया, और कुछ नहीं जानता, बरन उसे विवाद और शब्दों पर तर्क करने का रोग है, जिन से डाह, और झगड़े, और निन्दा की बातें, और बुरे बुरे सन्देह।

4. He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

9. पर जो धनी होना चाहते हैं, वे ऐसी परीक्षा, और फंदे और बहुतेरे व्यर्थ और हानिकारक लालसाओं में फंसते हैं, जो मनुष्यों को बिगाड़ देती हैं और विनाश के समुद्र में डूबा देती हैं।

9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10. क्योंकि रूपये का लोभ सब प्रकार की बुराइयों की जड़ है, जिसे प्राप्त करने का प्रयत्न करते हुए कितनों ने विश्वास से भटककर अपने आप को नाना प्रकार के दुखों से छलनी बना लिया है।।

10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11. पर हे परमेश्वर के जन, तू इन बातों से भाग; और धर्म, भक्ति, विश्वास, प्रेम, धीरज, और नम्रता का पीछा कर।

11. But thou, O man of YHWH, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, reverence, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12. विश्वास की अच्छी कुश्ती लड़; और उस अनन्त जीवन को धर ले, जिस के लिये तू बुलाया, गया, और बहुत गवाहों के साम्हने अच्छा अंगीकार किया था।

12. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

13. मैं तुझे परमेश्वर को जो सब को जीवित रखता है, और मसीह यीशु को गवाह करके जिस ने पुन्तियुस पीलातुस के साम्हने अच्छा अंगीकार किया, यह आज्ञा देता हूं,

13. I give thee charge in the sight of YHWH, who quickeneth all things, and before the Messiah Yahushua, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;

14. That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Master Yahushua the Messiah:

17. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Elohim, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

18. That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

19. Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

20. हे तीमुथियुस इस थाती की रखवाली कर और जिस ज्ञान को ज्ञान कहना ही भूल है, उसके अशुद्ध बकवाद और विरोध की बातों से परे रह।

20. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

21. कितने इस ज्ञान का अंगीकार करके, विश्वास से भटक गए हैं।। तुम पर अनुग्रह होता रहे।।

21. Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee.
